Why CAN T I Be A Cougar?? Page 8

by Marsha Easley

  "Wow," she said.

  "Wow," he said.

Fortunately for both of them, she didn’t get pregnant. She went to the health center and got a ‘morning after’ shot to be sure.

"Come back to earth, Julie," laughed Elaine.

Julie fanned herself with her hand and said, "Oh yeah. That was hot. We had protected sex off and on after that until the end of the semester. He graduated and moved out of state, and we didn't keep in touch. I heard that he had married his girlfriend from college, and last year he found me and tried to be my Facebook friend, but I never accepted because his status said married. I did notice from his picture that he was still fine. Ok, back to the subject, are you ladies hanging with me or what?"

The ladies talked about it a little longer and decided they would go. Elaine said, "I will have to find a babysitter first if Darlene is busy, but I'm sure my mom or sister will watch Jayden if she is. They haven’t seen him in a couple of weeks."

"Great," said Julie." It's going to be so much fun. We haven't all gone out together in a long time."

"How much to get in?" asked Elaine.

"Twenty dollars," said Julie, "and I want to reserve us a couple of rooms down at the Atheneum hotel so that we don't have to drive back. Oh, red and white is the attire color, so pull out your best red or white outfit."

"I'm in," said Lillian, "and I still can't believe you never told me about Kevin!"

"Girl, get over that!" said Vanessa, then redirecting her statement to Julie. “I’m in.”

"This will be one of my mini vacations, since I'm on vacation whenever I'm away from my house, even if it’s down the street at a hotel in Auburn Hills ... no dishes, cooking, or cleaning. It’s all good. I'm in," said Yvette.

"Guess I'm in too," said Sabra expressionlessly. She always acted like she was doing someone a favor, but they loved her anyway. She had a heart of gold.

"Good. And don't forget we are meeting with the guys Sunday at Motor City," said Julie.

  Lillian

After about eight months of wining and dining locally, Don invited Lillian to accompany him on a business trip to Vegas. Since she had never been to Vegas, she jumped at the chance to go. It’s one of those trips she always planned on doing, but never followed through. Her friends, on the other hand, were skeptical about her going, but she assured them that she would be safe. Don really wanted her to go because he had asked her to consider working with him, and she had seriously thought about quitting her job to do this. He told her this would be an opportune time for to really see him in action. As a Fund Manager for Wells Fargo, she was very successful but had grown tired of her job.

"I've become a good judge of character, and so far, he has been nothing but a gentleman," she said to her friends.

"Being local is one thing," said Sabra. "but going hundreds of miles away is another. He has been too good to be true. He will get you to Vegas and finally make his move or kill you or something. Did he say he will get you your own room?"

"Yes, he did. I've never been and I’ve been dying to go to Vegas. I have an aunt and uncle that live there that I haven't seen in ages, and I can visit them while I’m there."

"I don't feel that good about it, but it looks like you have your mind made up. Just be careful and call me every hour," said Yvette.

"Now, I'm fifty years old and not asking for permission, and I love you guys for caring,” she said "but I will be fine. It’s his fine ass you need to be worried about!"

They went to Vegas, first class, of course. When they arrived, she learned that he had booked them a suite at a beautiful hotel and casino. As soon as they walked into the lobby, they were surrounded by colorful flowers and plants. The ceiling was gold with crystal chandeliers everywhere. There were fountains sprouting colorful water throughout the lobby. The floor was made up of gold tiles that shimmered in the bright lighting. The casino had a five-diamond rating which was reflected upon entering the building.

"I thought I was getting my own room," she said after he told her about the suite.

"Well, you do have your own room. We just have a shared living room. The hotel was sold out, but if you aren't comfortable, I will make other arrangements."

He opened the door, and they entered the suite. She looked around at the luxurious accommodations.

It was the penthouse, and it had a spectacular view of Vegas. It was a two-bedroom apartment suite. There was a foyer that led past the private massage room, a separate powder room, and a butler's pantry with a refrigerator. There was a huge living room with a dinner table that could accommodate twelve people, a 70-inch television, and a granite wet bar. The bedrooms were situated on opposite sides of the living room area. Her bedroom was completely surrounded with windows and had a 56- inch TV. The bathroom had a rain shower, a whirlpool tub, a 19- inch TV, double sinks, and a walk-in closet. It was huge!

She thought about it and smiled. "I guess this will be fine."

They did all the touristy things while they were there and hit almost every casino. She was having a great time admiring all the elaborate architectural details in the casinos, and kept thinking about she waited so long to visit this exciting city in the desert, and that her and the ladies would have a great time there. Every time they went into a casino, he attempted to give her money to gamble with, even though she told him she had her own.

"Everything I do here is a tax write off. This is a business trip. I just want you to enjoy yourself." She wasn’t much of a gambler, and never accepted any of the money he offered.

The third day he left her and went to a meeting. She called her aunt and uncle and they came to the hotel and had lunch with her. She did not tell them who she was there with… not that it was a secret. They were old school and to avoid anything negative, she just said she was there with a friend, and after she assured them it was nobody they knew, they accepted her response.

The next day, she accompanied him to a meeting. She was very impressed with his business savvy and had already learned a lot from him.

The meeting lasted a few hours, they were famished and fatigued, so they decided to stay in and order room service. The food was delicious! She had a butter-poached lobster tail, wasabi mashed potatoes, and asparagus, while he had prime rib, shrimp cocktail, sage scalloped potatoes, and a Caesar salad. They had triple chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert.

He had ordered a bottle of champagne with their meal, which he opened and filled their glasses.

"Let's make a toast," Don said.

"What are we toasting?" asked Lillian.

"One, I made a very big business deal today, and second, I have the most beautiful woman in the world to celebrate it with."

"Congratulations, and thanks for the compliment," said Lillian as they clinked their glasses together and drank their champagne.

"No, thank you. You've made an old man very happy these last few months. I feel like I made myself a very good friend and hopefully, business associate," said Don.

"You are not that much older and you are in way better shape than me!" said Lillian.

They moved to the couch and turned on the TV. They half watched it in between talking and drinking. She was feeling the effects of the champagne and was looking at him a little different.

She put her hands on his leg. "Don, may I ask you something?"

He took her hand off his leg and put her hand in his. "Go ahead," he said, "you can ask me anything."

She observed the gesture he had just made. "Why haven't you tried to hit on me? Don't you like me?" asked Lillian.

He looked over at her. "Yes, I do., and I think you are very attractive. You are extremely beautiful. I just enjoy your company and didn't think you liked me like that, and, for other reasons that we've never discussed."

"Well, you are an attractive man and" ... she leaned over toward him, "and I like you."

She reached for his face and turned it towards hers, and kissed him softly on the lips. He pulled her into him and returned
the kiss with a hot, hungry, tongue probing one. The kiss became intensive, and he pulled away from her wet lips and put his lips near her ear. He blew softly into it and then whispered, "You are so beautiful. I haven't kissed a woman in a long time. I really would like to make you feel good."

His breath was in her ear and was driving her mad! He eased her back on the couch and raised up her shirt. He put his head up under it and kissed her braless breasts. As soon as his lips made contact, she thought she was going to jump up off the couch from excitement. He then kissed his way down to her stomach where he placed butterfly kisses, and then got to her pants. He slowly eased them and her panties off with one, smooth motion. He inhaled her aroma, butterfly kissed her thighs, then did the same to her very special place. She almost came immediately and fought hard to enjoy this moment for as long as it lasted. He was very skilled with his tongue and mouth, and had her clawing at the air, then grabbing his head. She climaxed for what she thought was ten minutes.

"Did you like that?" he asked as he looked up from between her now drenched thighs.

"Oh yes," she said breathlessly. She was so turned on and wanted to return the favor, so she reached for his zipper and he grabbed her hand.

  "No, don't…I can't," he said.

She pulled away puzzled and asked, "What's the matter?"

He looked her in the eye.

"Oh no! You're gay! But you just…no, that can't be true either ... I’m confused. Why can't you?"

He smiled, but then got serious and said, "I haven't been able to perform in a long time. I have prostate cancer and it has really affected me sexually…I think it's the chemo. You are the first person that I've told this to. Not even my kids know."

"Oh Don. I'm so sorry! Are you feeling sick? And you're doing chemo? Are you ok?"

He let out a dry laugh, "I'm ok. Yes, I'm doing chemo. It's still not gone, but I'm putting up a fight. "

She gave him a big hug. "I'm so sorry. Let's say a prayer right now, because you need to put it in God's hands. He has the final say."

"Thank you, my dear," said Don.

  They held hands and prayed.

After they returned home to Michigan, they continued to go to business affairs and meetings and became closer friends. Lillian even took him to some of his chemo treatments. They never tried anything of a sexual nature again.

One day after leaving the clinic, she stopped him and said, "You are going to have to tell your children what is going on. It's really not fair. If I were them, I would be pissed!"

He lowered his head, a little because he was in thought, and a little because he was feeling ill from the effects of the chemo.

"I know. I've been thinking about that a lot," he said. "I will call them as soon as I get home."

His daughters were both married with children and lived in Arizona. Since his birthday was coming up, he asked them to come to Michigan so that they could celebrate with him. He did not want to tell them the bad news over the phone.

His daughters arrived two weeks later, and he had Lillian drive him to the airport to pick them up because he didn't feel up to driving, and he wanted them to meet her. They had talked to her on the phone many times and were excited to meet the woman their dad was so impressed with.

They all went out to dinner at Andiamo's at the Detroit Renaissance, located downtown on the river front. There was a great band there with a phenomenal lead singer named Gwenn Foxx, who Lillian knew from Pontiac since childhood. After dinner, they went back to Don's condo where he sat them down and told them he had something to tell them.

The girls figured he was going to tell them he was going to marry Lillian, because she was all he talked about. They had already discussed it with each other, and they really liked her.

"Girls, there is no easy way to tell you this, so I'm just going to come right out and say it. You’ve been asking why I've gotten so thin and thought it was from dieting, but the truth is… I have prostate cancer and have been getting chemo treatments."

The girls looked like they had stopped breathing, then Becky, the oldest, went over to him and gave him a big hug as she sobbed into his chest. Cynthia, the youngest, just stayed in her seat staring at them while tears sprang from her eyes. Lillian went over to her and put her arms around her, trying to stifle her own tears too, but failed.

After the crying subsided, he went on to tell them the details. He tried hard to make them feel better with his positive and hopeful attitude, but it didn't work. They reluctantly went home a few days later, but not after promising to call and "facetime" him every day, and visit as often as they could. They did as promised, including bringing his grandkids to visit, so they could spend time with him; his relationship with Lillian, and hers with the girls, grew stronger.

  Vanessa

Vanessa met Greg the next day at Great Lakes Crossing Mall, located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Great Lakes Mall is an outlet mall with many stores, restaurants, bars, and a movie theater. They had decided to meet up at the movies. She called him when she arrived in the parking lot and he told her that he was inside. He had already bought the tickets and popcorn, and was looking really great in his blue and white shorts outfit. She wore a shorts outfit too, which just so happened to be blue and white too.

"Look at us all coordinated," said Vanessa.

"Great minds think alike," said Greg.

"I think that you looked in my window while I was getting dressed."

"So now I'm a window peeking perv?" he asked.

"I'm just saying!" she said, and they laughed. She approached him and they hugged around the popcorn in his hands.

"I hope you eat popcorn," he asked.

"I love it. What's a movie without it?" she replied.

  "Let's get something to drink."

"I'll take a water," she said as she locked her arm in his and headed to the refreshment stand.

He paid for two bottles of water and they went into the show. The movie was Tyler Perry's new comedy that she had been dying to see. They laughed a lot and had a great time. On occasion he put his hand on hers and guided her hand on his thigh. She wanted to just grab and squeeze his leg, but she contained herself and settled for just feeling those tight leg muscles where her hand rested.

It was still early when they got out of the movie, and he asked her if she would go somewhere with him. "Sure. Where to?" she asked.

"I just want to show my face at a get together my friends are having. We can leave your car here."

"Sure, sounds like fun," she replied.

  "Cool. Wait right here."

He left and then pulled up on the baddest motorcycle she had ever seen. It was a huge Harley Davidson. It was cherry red with black and silver accents, and the chrome pipes sparkled in the sunlight.

"Whoa. I hope you don't expect me to get on that . . . I don't do motorcycles."

"Oh, come on over here. You will be perfectly safe with me."

"These things are so dangerous. Ever since a person I knew going to Cedar Point on one of these died, I promised myself I would never get on one."

Cedar Point is an amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio.

"Well, I promise to be extra careful with you. We are not going to go too far, especially not to Ohio," he joked. “Come on. I promise if you get scared, we can turn around and you can follow me in your car." Then he looked at her with those mesmerizing eyes. "Don't you trust me?"

She looked into his eyes and approached the bike, and reluctantly climbed on back and grabbed on to his waist real tight.

"Whoa, baby. I need to breathe," he laughed. She relaxed her grip.

"That's better. Now put on this helmet."

"Oh, now you want to mess up my weave," she laughed.

He helped her put her helmet on and then put on his. He eased out of the parking lot and merged onto the highway. The sun was shining and beaming, but the breeze felt good against her body. She held on and sniffed him the whole time. He smelled so good and she actually enjoyed th
e ride. Shortly, they arrived at a park. He helped her off the bike and they walked over to where a group of people were barbequing, playing music, dominoes, eating, and having a good time.

  "Hey Greg," a guy shouted.

"Hey Greg," another one said as he waved. The guys stood up and gave each other hugs and fist bumps. He then went around and hugged all the ladies.

"Everyone, this is Vanessa. Vanessa, these are my crazy friends." He pointed at each one and said their names.

She smiled and said "Hello, I know I won't remember all your names, but it is nice to meet you all."

"Man, Greg done found himself a real woman! What the heck do you see in him?" one of his friends kidded.

"When you ready for a real man, call me," joked another.

Greg said, "Don't listen to none of these animals. They don't get out too often."

Everyone laughed and so did Vanessa. They reminded her of her crazy friends.

One of the ladies said "Girl, make yourself at home and get you something to eat."

The sight and smell of all the food made her stomach growl. Greg took her by the hand and led her to the food. "Are you hungry?"
