“And this doesn’t hurt you?” he checked.
“No, because I’m part of it,” I explained, shrugging when he opened his mouth to push. “Dude, it works for us. I don’t know. I’m the first real relationship she’s even considered and she’s the ultimate package a guy like me doesn’t ever deserve. The fact she looks my way for more than a huge cock is a miracle and honestly, I’m shocked I like this too but she showers me with affection after.”
“Like a guilty lover, but it’s not being guilty because you were part of it,” Dave muttered, bobbing his head. “It’s something you shared together and it doesn’t matter if it was guys for her and no women for you.”
“Exactly.”
“You guys open to playing again?” Ken asked, glancing at Dave, who muttered, “Maybe?”
“If she is,” I answered as I accepted the towel Dave tossed me. “Not all the time—”
“Yeah, no, not all the time,” Dave agreed. “Maybe in a couple months we meet up? If we want.”
“Yeah, I think she’d be open to that.”
“What did you mean when you said she’s the full package?” Ken asked. “She’s gorgeous and fun, but you sounded insecure.”
“She’s rich and a business savant,” I muttered. A witch one, but she used it for business so it worked the same in my mind.
“Damn, yeah, good luck with that,” Ken mumbled as I cleaned up Sia. “Wow, you’re seriously lucky to have caught her.”
I snorted. “Believe me, I know it.”
And I did. I absolutely knew how lucky I was to have her. I gave my number to them, and then awkwardly kissed their cheeks as if that was in any way enough thanks for the blow jobs.
I redressed Sia and carried her out.
“Oh, he’s such an adorable nerdy giant,” Ken whispered once I was in the hall. “A kiss on the cheek? And he blushed? Damn, yeah, that was so much fun.”
“It was. Think we can call them next month?”
“You get in bed and I’ll show you next month,” Ken growled, and I bit back a smile, knowing they were about to have another round of their own fun.
Sia was still out when I got her in the SUV, hoping we only got weird looks and no one called the cops or anything. I felt better when we were on our way and heading home.
I smiled. Home. I had a place that really felt like home and with Sia.
Damn, that sounded nice.
I was almost to the gate when I slammed on the brakes, seeing something near the fence and cursing under my breath. This had to stop.
I called the police and backed up the SUV so we were out of range if needed. He wasn’t coming for us but I wanted to be careful just in case.
“What’s going on?” Sia mumbled as she rubbed her eyes. “Are we home?”
“Not yet,” I sighed. “That guy from New Year’s has been—”
“Coming around and trying to break in, yeah, I know,” she chuckled. “Were you ever going to tell me?”
“Yes,” I grumbled. Of course she knew. “Your spell has been keeping him out but—”
“And the extra spell I added to the fence along here to disorient him and mess him up.”
“Of course you did,” I snickered, trying not to laugh. “He’s here again and I’m not opening the gate with him here. The asshole just won’t give up. I called the police.” I cleared my throat, hoping not to scare her. “I took a picture that night and ran him. He’s a fixer for hire and his known associates are the Harmon brothers you suspect busted your store.”
“I figured. You seemed to have it handled so I just helped a bit.” She narrowed her eyes in that direction. “His aura is flashing pain. Oh, can I laugh if he broke a leg or something trying to climb the fence?”
“I will. I have a lot of video of him trying to get onto the property but falling off the fence when he hits your block. Some make it sort of obvious that something is stopping him, others he’s incompetent. I figure I’ll give those to the police.”
She nodded. “Do we play dumb about New Year’s Eve?”
“Yes. You’ve seen him, but you can’t place from where.”
“Got it. Good job protecting us.”
I nodded, my heart warming at the us. I reached over and grabbed her hand, relieved when the sirens approached. I almost laughed when the first responding officer was one of the fireman’s friends Sia had played with.
“You okay, Sia?” the guy asked once he reached us.
“Yes, Deon saw him before I did and backed us up.”
“He keeps trying to get onto the property. I’ve got the video,” I told him. “He never makes it over the fence. I figured he might be a local drunk, but enough is enough.”
“We’ll check it out,” he said, waving to someone else who had showed up.
“She’s a demon!” a voice shouted with a slur. “Demons push me off the fence. I want over the fence!”
“Shut up, you asshole,” the cop growled. He said something into his radio and came over to us. “Looks like the guy broke his leg trying to climb your fence. He’s liquored up or high on something good. He says he’s trying to steal your recipes but you’re evil, and everything from hellhounds to demons to vampires guard your property.”
“Well, I’ve been called worse,” she drawled, looking amused. “Your ex-wife called me a devil whore at the grocery store, which was why I stopped going there.”
He winced. “Yeah, I might have been stupid and called her after a few beers to say I wasn’t the only lame one in bed, and if a woman could rock my world like you did, she was as much at fault as I was.”
“She was. You take instruction well and—”
I cleared my throat. I didn’t need to hear all of that or get jealous again.
The cop smiled brightly. “So it’s true you guys are together, huh?”
“I’m working on it,” I answered before she could. “Though her fireman is still set for his dates.” I tried to bite back a smile but lost. “Though, she might be a bit tender for—”
“You little shit,” she hissed. “You did that on purpose.”
“Nothing is little on me, Sia, but no, I didn’t. I just realized it now and yes, I’m going to enjoy it.” I raised an eyebrow at her. “I believe you enjoyed the play date we had even if your fireman has to be gentle with you.”
She shivered. “Yeah, I enjoyed it.” She smirked at the cop. “It seems he enjoys watching and I let him get jealous after.”
“Well damn, that sounds like a good time. I’ll let your Saturday night know. He’s still enjoying his lessons and mid-life sowing of oats before he tries again.”
“I won’t object. He’s good to her and I have six of her nights,” I said, my tone clear I was bragging.
“You’re so grounded,” she warned.
Fine by me, I still got her in the end.
The guy was arrested and the ambulance came to help him out… And I got to take Sia to bed.
To her bed even. She invited me once we cleaned up, telling me it was a thank-you for a great date and keeping her safe.
I would take it.
I would be greedy and absolutely take anything she offered me.
Hell, I would take everything she offered me.
Always.
Epilogue
One Year Later
Sia
“Looks like I caught a naughty witch,” Deon murmured in my ear as his strong arms wrapped around me from behind. “I caught her; I get to keep her.”
“You’re gone for two weeks on business and you come back with some idea you’re in charge?” I asked, snorting when he kissed my neck. “Keep dreaming.”
“Every day with you is a dream,” he breathed as he ran his tongue around the shell of my ear. “And I want this dream to be forever, Sia. I love you and I want us forever.” He shook his head when I flinched. “Don’t say no. Seeing Briony with her familiars and how happy they are just confirmed it. We’re forever.”
I gasped as I felt a ring placed in my h
and. I didn’t look at it, jerking to pull away. My heart hurt when I saw the pain in his face, assuming I was rejecting him. “Time out.”
“Okay.” His eyes shined with tears and he took a step back. “I did this wrong. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have—I didn’t—”
“Deon, stop—I’m not saying no,” I promised, freezing him with my magic when he didn’t seem to hear me. I was pretty sure I knew the answer to the question I needed to ask by his reaction, but the timing was too crazy. He realized what I’d done and stopped struggling. “We need to talk first and then you can finish asking.”
Worry instantly filled his eyes. “What happened while I was gone?”
“Your mother showed up,” I answered, guilt swarming me I even doubted him for a second when he went completely pale. “She heard you were my familiar and has been in contact with my mother.”
“I didn’t—I wouldn’t ever—she is, she is—” He started breathing funny and I released him from my magic, catching him as he crumbled to the ground so we were kneeling together. “She knows I’m here? She cares now? Why?”
“You finally did something her twisted mind approved of,” I said gently, hugging him to me.
“What do we do?” he rasped, hugging me even tighter but easing up when my back popped.
“I was a sneaky brat and told her she was mistaken and you were with Briony. She’s headed there and…”
“And what?”
“She won’t survive that visit with all the death and blood on her.”
He didn’t reply for a moment. “Good. Fuck her. Good. She can’t hurt you ever.”
“Or you.”
“I don’t care about me, Sia. You’re the one to be protected.”
I melted against him. “How about we both are protected since I love you too, okay?”
“Okay. Okay. Fuck, I’m not asking today.” He let out another shaky breath and I felt tears on my skin that weren’t mine. “She ruins everything. She ruined me asking you to marry me. I wanted this to be—”
I cupped his face and kissed him, tasting the salt of his tears. “Yes.”
“Yes what?” he asked.
“Yes, I’ll marry you. Yes, I will make you my familiar, but not yet. I want a long engagement and maybe a year of marriage. I never thought to take a familiar, but I need more time before forever.”
“Take all the time you need, as long as you’ll be mine.”
He started taking off our clothes and I wasn’t even sure he realized what he was doing. He took the ring from my hand and slid it on my finger. I wasn’t surprised it was a perfect fit or exactly what I would want as he always paid attention.
“You have to be mine, Sia. I love you so fucking much. I need you.”
“I need you too, baby,” I promised, and I did.
I loved him too. Deon had become everything to me, and him going for two weeks to help Briony had made me realize how life without him just wasn’t an option.
I helped get naked as he used our clothes as something better than the concrete floors, but then he thought better and sat us up and pulled me on him.
“Shit, too fast, sorry, I’m—I’m losing my mind.”
“I can take it, for you I’ll always take it and your monster,” I promised, waiting a bit until my body adjusted to the fat head of his cock. We made out and he got me wet enough so I could slide down him more. “I didn’t play at all while you were gone. I wanted this the moment you came back to me.”
“I’ll always come back. You and this place are my home now. I love you.”
He chanted it again and again as he helped me move. Then he thanked me for accepting him and giving him everything. I kissed him quiet, knowing the news of his mother had spiraled him out.
It was best not to mention that she’d had a letter from my mother telling me how things would be from now on now that she had a powerful witch like his mother to help her get me in line.
Yeah, right. Briony would take care of his mom and probably mine after I told her about it all. I was shaken too, given it had been earlier today, but now Deon was home and I felt safe.
I was always safe with him; he handled everything.
He’d busted that fixer guy and the Harmon brothers for the repeated break-ins at my store. From there they caught the fourth guy and the guys who kept hacking my site to try and drive me out of business.
It wasn’t just about my formulas but putting me out of business so I wasn’t competition anymore. There was a lawsuit attached with that to recover my losses with the corporate espionage and all of that.
I didn’t get into it, but Meave was having a field day with her attorneys making sure no one came near me again.
And I’d needed it after coming up with the shaving bars. They were selling faster than we could get them out along with all my products.
My witch friends were talking about expanding more and I hadn’t been about it until they said we could invest in other farms where LLL witches could be safe.
Then I was in as long as I didn’t have to handle the details. I wasn’t good with the details unless it was potions.
I had Deon for that, after all.
“Fuck, fuck, you are so wet and feel so good,” he moaned as he dug his fingers in my ass. “Come on me, my fiancée. Come on my cock and be greedy with me.”
“You greedy boy,” I groaned, crying out as I did what he wanted.
He finished as well, filling me up with all of him, and not just in the naughty spunk way. No, he was inside of me forever in a way that went beyond the physical. I kissed him with all I had, hoping he knew how much I loved him too.
I let out a yelp when the door opened, and Deon quickly grabbed his shirt to cover me while he was still inside of me.
“Oh holy fuck, my eyes,” Jimmy said as he moved his hand over his face and blocked the door. “Don’t come in. We need a minute.”
“Get out,” Deon growled.
Of course they didn’t; several other people ducked their heads in and either burst out laughing or had Jimmy’s reaction. I hid against Deon, laughing as he barked at all of them.
“I got this, boss,” Jimmy promised, pushing them out and closing the door behind him. “Give them a damn minute!”
“I’m messing this up all over,” Deon sighed, sounding upset again.
I laughed, kissing him and giving him a wink. “Are you kidding? I think this is perfect. You do remember how we met, right? This is who we are and you still love me, even if there’s always crazy.”
“I do,” he agreed.
He used his socks to clean me up, giving me an apologetic look like that wasn’t what he really wanted. I forgave him because we had people waiting.
We got redressed in a flash and he was embarrassed, but I strutted right to the door. It was my damn land—like I gave a fuck if someone caught me fucking my man on it.
“You’ll live,” I teased Jimmy after opening the door. I reached up and squeezed his chin. “Admit you’ve been dying for a chance to see me naked the whole time you’ve known me.”
He snorted. “Everyone does, Sia.” His eyes went wide as he focused on my other hand. “But apparently we missed our chance. Congrats.”
“We got engaged,” I explained to the others, holding up my hand so they could see the gorgeous ring. “Hence the hot sex.”
“Like we need a reason,” Deon muttered as he hugged me from behind. He kissed my neck as everyone chuckled. “A long engagement, but eventually I’ll get her as mine for good.”
He beamed as people congratulated us before getting to work. Then he dragged me over to the brew house so I could show Carrie and all the others.
My eyes went wide as she broke down crying that I was finally happy and soon there would be babies and all kinds of joy here always.
I glanced at Deon, realizing we needed to have a talk about something. He seemed to realize it too, and after work and we were alone he jumped right in.
“I’m not sure I want kids at least fo
r a while.”
“Me too. Keeping ourselves safe is much different than a child and any child of mine everyone will want in the hopes for the powerful magic they think I would pass down and—”
“I know. I agree. Things are too unstable to even consider it. For now. For a while.”
“For a while,” I agreed, smiling at him. “Glad we’re on the same page.”
“Sia, I’m always on the same page with you. And for the record, this doesn’t change our play dates. I found a seedy bar over in Council Bluffs and I say we have some fun this weekend. Press my buttons and make me jealous so I fuck you good.”
I gave him a soft kiss. “You always fuck me good. And make love to me good. And everything good, baby. Yes, let’s have a play date, but just so we’re clear, you’re more than enough.”
And he was. My heart soared when I saw in his aura that he believed me.
Nice.
