“Are you all right?” Ryan’s voice was distant and unclear. Jane turned to him.
“Yeah. But my home . . .” she said with sadness.
Ryan called the fire department and the rest of their team.
“Jane, someone wanted to kill you. You realize that, don’t you?” Ryan was holding her shoulders and looking into her eyes with a terrified expression.
“Yeah,” Jane answered as if she didn’t care. She was watching the firefighters spraying of water over her house.
Connor, Nick and Ian arrived shortly after Ryan called them. They were all horrified by the attempted murder.
“Jane . . .” Hunt started after they made sure she was okay. “Do you . . .”
“Did you see his body?” Jane asked coldly.
“Whose body?” Ian was confused.
Nick, Ian, Connor and Ryan exchanged puzzled looks. Jane stared at her burning home with narrowed eyes full of hate. She had a cold look for Nick and Ian.
“Did you see the corpse of Michael Morse?”
