Only You: Second Chance Series Page 7

“You went on your date,” he said softly, and walked over to my couch to lean against it. I could smell beer on his breath and wondered what he’d been doing.

I looked at him for a few seconds before replying. “His name is Kirk, and yes. What have you been doing?”

While crossing his arms across his chest, he never took his eyes off me. “I had some beers with my buddy Dillion. He wanted to go to this party, but when we got there I knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be.”

I could feel my chest tighten, and I wasn’t sure what the hell was going on with me. It made me feel good, really good, that he didn’t want to party with younger girls, but it also made me confused. “Why?”

“Because I needed to make sure you forgave me.”

“Dax,” I said softly, shutting my eyes. Neither one of us spoke, and soon I opened my eyes again and found him staring at me. “I’m the one who’s sorry. I shouldn’t have lost it on you like I did. So I’m sorry, too.”

Dax looked almost relieved that I’d apologized, and I guess our little spat affected him more than I thought. “Thank you, and next time when we argue like that, no walking away. The past few days have been hell for me.”

“We barely know each other. And what we did the other night will never happen again, so we don’t have to worry about anything.”

We were quiet again, but we also didn’t break eye contact. Just when I was about to give in and move away from the tension that was building, Dax moved toward my front door. A part of me was sad that he was going to leave, but a smaller part knew it was for the best, so I knew I wouldn’t stop him. Except, he’d been drinking. He’d better not drive. “Where’s your car?” I asked, which made him take his hand off my door handle.

Without turning around, he let out a deep sigh. “I was dropped off here. I’ll just walk back to my place.”

Walk? “Where do you live?” I asked and couldn’t believe I’d slept with someone without even knowing where they lived at.

Dax finally turned around, and I took in every bit of his handsomeness. “Seventh and Pine,” he said and looked me up and down, stopping at my cleavage that was on display. I did have nice boobs, and there was no hiding these babies when wearing an evening dress. I learned early to embrace them, except when I was in teaching mode. Thirteen-year-old boys did not need any boobage in their immediate area.

“That’s almost ten miles away,” I said and turned to head toward the kitchen. “Let me get my keys and I’ll drive you.”

“No, you don’t need to do that. Really, it’s not a big deal.” He went to grab for my door again.

“Dax, please. I’ll feel better if you let me take you.” I watched as so many emotions crossed his face, and soon I knew I’d won.

He nodded once and stood by my door, waiting for me to grab my purse. I didn’t like how things were between us. We’d gotten along so well when we met, and now it was like we couldn’t even talk to each other. It didn’t help that the sexual tension in the room was so thick that you couldn’t have cut it with a fucking machete.

“Ready?” I asked and pointed toward the door to my garage, which was on the other side of my living room.

Dax was quiet, but I knew he was behind me. When I went to reach for the door handle, I knew that my problem was that I didn’t want to have coffee with Kirk. I didn’t want to be just friends with Dax, either, and I sure as hell didn’t want him to go home.

I paused and left my hand resting on the handle. Then two large hands were suddenly on my hips. “I want to tell you how beautiful you look, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed.”

When I didn’t reply, he started to move his hands up higher on my waist, until his fingers were just below the underside of my breasts. “And I wanted to tell you that I can’t get you out of my mind.”

“Dax,” I whispered, and closed my eyes when one of his hands reached up and cupped my cheek as he planted a warm kiss to the back of my neck.

“And I wanted to tell you that I can’t stand thinking about you having dinner with another man.”

I moaned when he sucked on my neck. “I thought about you the whole time,” I whispered, and moved my legs apart when his free hand moved down to the hem of my dress and lifted it up over my ass.

“Good,” he said huskily, and sucked another section of my neck. I knew he was marking me, and for some reason I didn’t even care.

His hand was moving slowly down to the inner part of my thigh, and soon his fingers were close to my spot that was begging for him to revisit. But I didn’t let him go any further. Instead, I turned around to face him. If I let this happen again, I would be too far in to say I made one silly mistake.

“You can’t deny this,” he said in a whisper, and reached out to move a lock of my hair that had fallen across my face.

I closed my eyes when he moved his hand across my cheek and tucked the tendril behind my ear. He was absolutely right. You couldn’t deny a connection like I was feeling with him. So I decided to say fuck it.

  CHAPTER TWELVE

  Dax

I was losing her. If she really felt that strongly about us not being together, I needed to respect that. Only, it was fucking impossible to not reach out and touch her when she was standing so close to me. That’s why when I was about to accept her rejection, it took all of my balance to not go falling flat on my ass when she lunged at me, jumping up and wrapping her legs around my waist.

Our mouths were on each other like magnets, and the joy that erupted in my chest was indescribable. She was giving me a second chance, and I was going to try like hell and make it work.

We came up for a few breaths when I started walking down the hallway and toward her kitchen. Then I saw her dining room table. That would have to do, because I knew if I didn’t get my dick inside of this lady within the next few seconds, I was going to literally explode.

“I don’t care,” she whispered, and I knew exactly what she was talking about. She finally let go of the fact that I was eight years younger than her and that I was her best friend’s nephew. It was about fucking time.

“Finally,” I grunted when I set her down on the table and pulled a tie that was apparently holding her dress together. When I saw the red lacy bra and matching thong underneath her attire, I wasn’t sure if I should be pissed she wore that on her date, or relieved that that Kirk prick didn’t get a chance to see it.

“I was thinking of you when I put these on,” she said and reached over to me and started to undo the buttons on my jeans. “I’ve been thinking of you nonstop for the past few days. We really shouldn’t be doing this, but I just don’t care anymore. The only thing I care about is that you’re about to fuck me.”

I grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head while she continued to work my jeans off my body. When I was standing in front of her in only my boxer-briefs, I reached forward and placed my hands under her mop of hair, right behind her neck. I brought her to me and kissed her with everything I had. I wanted to show her that I didn’t just want to just fuck her; I wanted to claim her.

“No more Kirk,” I stated firmly, and then reached behind her to unclasp her bra. “If you’re sleeping with me, there is no one else. I’ve never been very good at sharing.”

Lena laughed, but then simply nodded to show me that she understood exactly what I was getting at. “No more Kirk,” she said and then moaned when I pressed my hard cock against her entrance that was begging for me to take it.

“I need to take you now, but we’ll do more exploring when we make it upstairs.”

Lena threw her head back when I pressed myself against her core again, only to be blocked by our clothing.

As soon as I got her thong and my underwear off, there was no stopping me. I pulled her close and had to take a moment to savor the feeling of her wet walls closing in around me. “There is no better feeling,” I whispered, and then pushed myself quickly and fully, filling her completely full of my aching dick.

  “Yes,” she h
issed, and wrapped her legs around my waist tightly, pulling me even closer.

I pinched her clit, which sent a slew of curse words flying out of her mouth.

When she leaned her head back again, I took the opportunity to lean forward and capture one of her taut nipples in my mouth. “So close,” she mumbled when I continued to not only pump in and out of her at a ridiculously fast pace, but also suck the hell out of her tits and rub her clit. “God, this feels so good. Don’t stop,” she breathed and looked back at me, taking my lips with hers.

We kissed with such passion that it made my release come strong and hard. Her cries were filling my mouth as my cum was filling her. It was fucking beautiful.

  *

We didn’t make it upstairs until two hours later. The rug that covered her living room floor was way closer than her bed, and it didn’t take long before I was ready to take her again. She joked about being with such a younger man, but what I didn’t want to tell her was that I would be this way with her for the rest of my life. There was no way I could be around that woman without wanting to fuck her.

When we finally did make it upstairs to her bed, I filled her twice more with my seed. I couldn’t imagine not being able to get that girl pregnant with the amount of cum I’d released inside of her.

After what felt like only seconds after the last time I fucked her from behind, a loud banging vibrated through her house. “What the fuck is that?” I asked and watched the most beautiful sight unfold in front of me. Lena really was a gorgeous girl, but nothing was more breathtaking than the sight of waking up next to her. Her hair was wild from our night of passion, and her make-up was smeared across her face, but her smile was real, and it was the most amazing thing I’d ever seen.

I went to kiss her when the banging returned, and we both looked at each other with a questioning expression. “Were you expecting someone?” I looked over at her clock on the side of her bed and couldn’t believe that we had slept in until ten-thirty. Well, I could believe that because the last time I saw the clock, it read four-eighteen, and that was the time she rode me while I lived my fantasy of sucking on her tits while being underneath her, pumping her full of me.

  And now I was hard.

“No, so who the hell is trying to break my door down?”

I shrugged and quickly placed myself on top of her. “I want to fuck you again.” I whispered and watched as her pupils dilated.

“I don’t think they’re going to go away,” she said, but then raked her fingers across my back as I started to rub my hard dick across her entrance.

“I’ll be fast, so they’ll just have to wait. You make me so fucking crazy,” We both groaned when the knocking continued, and I watched pushed me off her and jumped out of bed.

“I’ll be right back.” She rolled her eyes when the doorbell was now dinging in between knocks. She slipped on a nightgown and robe, the same outfit she was wearing when we first met. “And then we’ll go for round seven, or eight. Oh hell, I lost count.”

I felt like a cheeseball lying in her bed, fully naked and smelling like her pussy, smiling like an idiot. I’d never felt happier.

That moment only lasted a second because when she opened the front door, I heard someone—with a voice much deeper than I was expecting—talking at a very fast pace. “Shit,” I said under my breath and jumped out of her bed and headed to the window. I wondered if Gary was looking for me and became worried when I wasn’t home.

Except it wasn’t Gary. The black Duramax that was parked in front of the house didn’t belong to him. Who the fuck was it then?

I’d just remembered that I left my clothes downstairs, so instead of parading down butt-ass naked, I found a pair of Lena’s shorts and laughed when I contemplated slipping them on. I wouldn’t even be able to get one of my legs in those things, and my balls would be hanging out the side.

I went to grab a towel when I heard footsteps on the stairs. Good, maybe the visitor was already gone.

Lena flew into the bedroom like a crazy person and looked flustered. “You have to stay up here,” she said quickly.

“Why? Who’s here?” I asked and finished covering myself with a rose-colored towel. “And who the fuck picked out these towels?” My question only earned me slap and a stern look.

“I’m serious, Dax. Jared is here and he needs to talk with me. He can’t know I’m sleeping with you.”

“Jared, the fucktard? And why not?” I asked and continued to watch her as she undressed and pulled a sundress over her naked body. “No way. You have to put a bra on if you’re talking to him.”

“Oh, don’t you get all bossy now. And I am,” she said with a grin and pulled her underwear up her legs and fitted a bra in place. “I don’t want Krista to know about us from someone else. I’ll tell her when the time is right.”

I could respect that. “Okay, so I’ll just stay up here?” I asked and walked back over to her bed, plopping down in the pure softness. I liked knowing the fact that this bed was brand new to Lena. She’d gotten a new one the day that prick moved out. That made me feel even better, knowing that I was the only one who’d been in it with her.

“Yes, just stay up here. I’ll be back soon.” She may have winked at me, but I could tell she was flustered that her ex was there. Before I could come back with a witty remark, she disappeared out her bedroom door.

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

  Lena

Smoothing down my dress as I made my way down the staircase didn’t stop the jitters I had from just speaking with Jared. It had been well over six months since I’d seen or talked to him, so this visit was unexpected to say the least.

I stopped at the corner just before turning to enter the living room and took in a deep breath while putting on my strongest façade. “Sorry, I’m actually dressed now,” I said and tried to smile, but it just didn’t feel right. Even though no part of me wanted him in my house, I was a bit intrigued about what he wanted to tell me.

Jared was still standing by the front door and didn’t hide it when he looked me up and down. “Lena, you look really good.”

I knew what he meant. I may have gone through a bit of a depression after we divorced. Running into him six months ago at the store was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life. I had been so low for the past few months that I finally decided I needed to get some help. After a few long days of doctor appointments, I finally had some meds filled and decided I would head over late one night to pick them up. I figured I wouldn’t see anyone I knew, but nope. The universe wanted to give me the middle finger for some reason and I ran into Jared. His look of pity when he saw me was horrible, and I’m glad now that I look more like myself.

“Thanks. What is so important to tell me that you felt the need to break the door down?”

He ran his hand through his light hair, which wasn’t good sign. It was his sign of uneasiness. Whatever he was going to tell me was going to be painful, so I decided to brace myself.

“Can we sit down in the living room?” he asked, but didn’t wait for me to answer as he sidestepped me and started to pace around a room in which we made so many memories. I watched him and wondered what in the hell had him so worked up. I also took note of a few things that caught me a little off guard. Jared was once the most attractive man I’d ever seen. However, now that I’d been with Dax, he seemed almost mediocre. Dax’s dark hair matched his neatly kept facial hair, giving him a more rugged look, while Jared always kept a very short, clean-cut, almost military look. It was good on him, but for some reason I was starting to think I may like a man with a little scruff on him.

“Are you listening to me?” he asked annoyed, placing his hands on his hips.

Nope, because I was still fantasizing about the guy upstairs who seriously had my lady bits in a twist. “Sorry, I am now,” I said quickly and moved around the back of my couch so I could sit and give him my full attention.

Letting out a little sigh and giving me an eye roll, he continued. “What I w
as saying was that I need to tell you something. Something important, and I’d rather you heard it from me than the rumor mill on the street.”

“Okay,” I said and sat back, preparing myself for the worst. Or maybe the best?

“Lena, I’ve been seeing someone new. I know I fucked everything up with you, and you have no idea how many times I’ve regretted this and wished I could go back to how things were between us, but we both know we can’t. We’ve been through too much together, and making it work between us just isn’t an option, right?”

Right? “Are you kidding me? Of course it’s not. I’ve told you that a million times.” A few months after we separated, Jared would occasionally stop by and stand on my porch, begging me to take him back. I held strong and told him to fuck off. There was absolutely no way I would ever be able to trust him again.

“Right,” he said and acted like I’d just shot down an idea. “Well, what I’m saying is, I’ve found someone new.”

“You said that, so why even ask about us?”

Jared stopped pacing and walked right over to me. “Because every time I see you, I am reminded what a fucking idiot I am.”

Nodding, I crossed my arms over my chest and kept my expression blank. Do I wish things would have been different? Yes. But you can’t change your past, you can only embrace your future.

“That being said, I’m getting married.”

“What?” I shrieked a little louder than expected. “To Shelly?”

Jared’s eyes became wide, and then he quickly ran his large hands across his face. “Shit, you’ve already heard, then?”

“Yeah, I heard.” I also wanted to tell him he was not only a fucking prick for coming over here and basically hitting on me, but also for taking away the best hairdresser I’d ever had.
