  He sighed. “Yet another thing I’m not thrilled about.”

  Sonja was about to protest.

  He stopped her. “But, I understand why it’s important to stay in contact. She’s your friend, she understands all this ghost stuff, and I don’t want to get in the way of it, no matter how much I don’t understand it.”

  Sonja smiled, leaning over and giving him another, longer kiss. “You’re the best.”

  “So, what will you tell her in the letter?”

  “First, I’ll thank her for making me the caretaker of the estate. Then, I’m going to tell her not to send any more random ghost cases my way. If I can at least reduce the number of spooks in our life, I will. Does that sound like a good compromise?” She squeezed his hand.

  “Sounds perfect,” Frank smiled as he cut into another bite of the waffle.
