"What did you hear?" Marina could never resist a little gossip.
"Only that Cam and Summer aren't seeing each other anymore," said Stacy. "He's not spending his free time in the city anymore, at least. My friend Haydn thinks he might be seeing somebody new, but I don't know if that's true."
"A secret affair, then," said Marina. "My favorite. Unless, of course, someone is getting hurt." She gave me a pointed look before stacking the books on a table in front of our picture window.
I hadn't heard this rumor. As far as I knew, Cam and Summer were still dating, not that he ever talked about it. Lately, we'd been avoiding talking about our love lives, not that we had a formal agreement. Not that I had much of a love life, either, since my last few dates had ended in mutual disinterest.
Then again, I hadn't seen Summer hanging around the coffee shop lately. Maybe there was some truth to these stories after all.
