“I may not have been thinking about this for a while, but it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made. So with this ring I ask you, Ella LeBlanc. Will you marry me?”

I feel tears creeping down my cheeks and I can’t help but sniffle a little as I feel happier than I have in my entire life.

“Yes Joe. Of course I will marry you!” I say excitedly.

He places the ring on my finger and almost jumps up to kiss me. I can hear him laughing a little as well. I’m just so happy I can’t help it! It’s a strange mixture of crying and laughing, but I love it, I love this feeling and I love him. I look down at the ring, a platinum band with three large sapphires and beautiful diamonds in between… it fits perfectly.

“You didn’t have to do all of this… or get me this ring. I already said yes.”

“Yes I know, but I wanted to. You deserve this and I wanted it to be perfect for you.” He holds me tight and whispers to me, “I love you.”

“I love you too,” I reply.

He takes my hand and leads me to the door, “What would you like to do now?” he asks, suggestively, “Would you like to go to bed?”

“Actually,” I say, stopping him, “I was thinking we could stay out here for a moment.” I’ve got a naughty idea… it’s dark out and no one will see… why don’t we go skinny dipping in the pool? I’ve teased him about it before, but why not now?

“If you want to? I don’t really,” he freezes and his eyes widen as he sees me stepping backwards toward the pool, slowly reaching for the zipper on my dress.

I drop my dress to the floor and step out of it, slowly slipping into the pool.

“Uh, that could be fun yeah,” Joe stutters.

I take off my underwear while in the pool which proves to be a little difficult, and I drop my soaking wet bra and panties by my dress on the deck. Joe looks down at them and back up to me.

“Are you coming in?” I ask.

“Give me a moment, I just want to admire you,” he smiles, “I wish this moment could last forever.” He takes out his phone.

“Hey!” I laugh and splash him.

“Don’t worry, I got a good one,” he winks at me before taking off his clothes and joining me in the pool.

We swim together and I can only just touch the bottom of the pool, he holds me up and pulls me close to him.

“I’ve got you…” he whispers to me.

I balance myself on his shoulders and kiss him passionately. He runs his hand through my hair then over my body, exploring every inch. I move my hand down to his hips then start slowly rubbing his cock.

“You look so beautiful in this light,” he says. “You’re glowing.”

  “Oh stop,” I blush.

“Never,” he whispers to me as his hand slowly finds its way between my legs. I inhale sharply as he starts to massage my clit.

I start to think that maybe this wasn’t the best idea, since anyone could see us right now, but I feel so much more sensitive. I love the way his skin feels against mine and the way his hands feel as they massage me and play with my breasts.

He takes hold of my hips and starts to lift me up, it’s so easy in the water, like I practically weigh nothing. I can feel his cock sliding effortlessly inside me as deep as he can go… I love the way he holds me up, I can wrap my legs around him and kiss his neck.

“What if someone sees?” I ask him.

“Let them,” he whispers, “They’ll only see a man loving his soon to be wife. They’ll just be jealous that they aren’t as beautiful as you.”

I moan as he thrusts up into me, creating ripples in the water and causing the lanterns to swirl around us. I tighten my grip on his waist with my legs and tense around his cock and he moans loudly. He grabs me tight and kisses me again.

As we get lost in our moment of passion, he slips up on the bottom of the pool and we lose our balance, sending us both splashing into the water.

We laugh together as we resurface.

“Shall we take this to the bedroom?” Joe asks, “I have a few more surprises.”

“Ooh, okay,” I grin, wiping my hair out of my face.

Joe looks around for a moment before jumping out of the pool, I take his hand and he helps me out. We run inside the house, dripping wet and I notice a few rose petals scattered on the stairs.

“Uh, Joe, what’s this?” I ask, narrowing my eyes at him.

“Oh nothing,” he says, “Come on!” he squeezes my hand and pulls me up the stairs, and more rose petals cover the floor up to his room. We stop by the door and he encourages me to open it.

“Okay,” I say, slowly reaching for the door. As I open it I see more petals all over the floor leading up to the bed, and more candles all around the room, “Oh Joe, I still can’t believe you did all of this for me!”

“As we discussed, the lengths that I will go to make things perfect for you know no bounds.” he smiles at me and takes my hand leading me over to the bed, “How about a massage?”

“That would be lovely,” I say, as I lay down on the rose petal covered bed.

I can smell the oil from here… it is heavenly. He places his hands on my shoulders and starts to rub, and it’s like all of my worries just melt away with his touch. I feel so relaxed, like I’m floating on a cloud.

He moves down to my lower back and hits my ticklish spot, causing me to giggle and roll over. He then leans over me and starts kissing my neck, down to my chest, then he starts massaging my breasts and playing with my nipples as I moan uncontrollably.

“So… where did we leave off?” I ask, biting at his lip.

“I think we were about here,” he whispers to me as he spreads my legs and gently rubs his rock hard cock against my clit, I inhale sharply and he takes hold of my waist as he pushes his cock inside me.

We moan together as he starts to slide in and out of me, making my toes curl. I grip the sheets and close my eyes, relaxing back onto the bed as he does what he does best.

“How’s that?” he asks, his breathing getting quicker.

“Oh, it feels so good,” I say, “I’ve missed this.”

I wrap my arms around him and pull him close for a passionate kiss as he starts to speed up. I’d forgotten how good it could feel being so close to him. It was like the walls had been broken down and there was nothing but us, making love on this bed surrounded by soft glowing light and rose petals.

I can feel myself reaching my climax, and it’s like I’ve completely melted and can feel nothing but pleasure rushing through me until—

“Oh!” I cry out, as waves of pleasure crash over me. Nothing exists apart from my pleasure right now. I can’t believe I ever lived life without this.

As I come down from my cloud I pant as Joe kisses my neck.

  “Tired…?” I ask him.

  “Sorry, I—”

  “Oh—” I hadn’t even noticed.

“Sorry, I know I can last longer, but it just felt so good.

“I like that you get so excited.” I grin when I see his cheeks going a little pink, “I love you.”

“I love you too,” he says, dropping to my side and holding me close.

  Chapter 32

  Joe

As I look back on the last few months of my life, I really can’t say that I saw any of this coming. From the moment that I bumped into Ella outside that flower shop, to the day I saw her on my doorstep asking for a job, I had no idea I had met a girl who would change my life forever. But now, thinking about the look on her face when we first kissed, to when we first made love, to when I asked her to marry me, both times, I can’t imagine my life without her.

Oh, that’s good. Maybe I should use that?

I meet eyes with my reflection and go over everything again in my head. The guests, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, the priest, the reception, the photographer, the cake! I’m letting myself get overwhelmed again. We’ve spent the last six months planning this wedding and it’s not even that big of an affair. Today’s the day and it’s
going to be perfect, no matter what happens, because I’m going to be marrying the perfect woman… Ella.

My smile returns and I smarten myself up, making sure my tuxedo is in order. I’m sure I look fine, if not a little nervous. I look down at the table in front of me, to the vows I’ve been writing. We decided it would be more personal to write our own vows and I loved the idea, except for the fact that I have to write something from the heart, and I’ve not been able to come up with anything so far.

  Why is it so difficult?

Just go out for a bit and make sure everything is okay.

I step out of the hotel bathroom and out through the lobby. There are loads of decorations all around the entrance and down on the beach as well. All of the chairs are set up as well as an archway with roses and ribbons interlaced and intertwined together. Everything is coming together and it’s almost the moment… I can’t wait!

“Joe, there you are!” Cameron runs up to me and grabs me by the shoulder.

“What’s wrong, Cam?” I ask, as she drags me back into the hotel.

“Ella is kind of freaking out, and I don’t know what to say. I think maybe the hormones are getting to her or something, but you need to go talk to her now, okay?”

“Okay, I’m going,” I say before I head up the stairs to the elevator, and up to Ella’s room. What could she possibly have to worry about today? Looking too beautiful?

I gently knock on the door and wait for a response.

“Come in,” I hear a very quiet voice from within.

When I get inside, I see Ella all dressed up and slumped in a chair staring at the mirror in front of her.

She sees me in the reflection and turns to face me.

“Joe! You can’t be here! It’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!” she says, standing and walking over to me.

“Do you really think we can’t handle a little bad luck?” I ask, wrapping my arms around her. “I promise I won’t look too hard ok? I’m just here because Cam said you were upset… are you okay?”

“I’m not, really I just, I look awful. I’m all fat and my hair looks stupid up, and white makes me look all washed out.” She starts to cry and hugs me tight.

“Ella, no… calm down. You look beautiful, and not fat at all.” I stroke her hair and kiss her forehead, “If you don’t like it up why not just change it?”

“Well, because Cam did all my makeup and hair, and I don’t want her to feel bad.”

“You don’t want her to feel bad on your wedding day?” I ask, raising my eyebrow at her.

She sniffles for a moment, then stops, gently wiping her eyes.

“Actually you’re right.” she smiles, “I can look however I want.”

She walks over to the mirror and unpins the bun in her hair, letting the resulting ponytail hang over one shoulder with a string of pale blue flowers tangled in it. She fiddles with her dress to make it look a little more flattering over her baby bump then she turns to me.

“What do you think?” she asks.

I walk over and embrace her, kissing her forehead and stroking her belly, “You look absolutely beautiful.”

  “Really?” she asks.

“Of course. No matter what you do.” I give her a big kiss before heading to the door, “Now let’s go get married.”

“No! We can’t go down together. You go and take your position and I’ll be there in a minute okay?” she hurries me out of the room.

“Alright, alright. I’ll see you in a moment.” I stand by the door as she waits to close it, “I love you.”

  “I love you, too.”

I can hear everyone arriving downstairs, I hope we have enough chairs! I step out of the elevator and quickly jog out to the beach.

Waves crash gently, accompanying the band that we hired, everyone is taking their seats and looking comfortable. This is good, everything is going to be great!

Michael, Mark and Jeff rush over to me, they all look great in their suits.

“There you are!” Michael says, “We’re just about ready to start this thing. Are you?”

I think for a moment. This ceremony will change my life forever.

“Yes,” I say triumphantly, “I’m ready.”

  “Great! Now get into position!”

“I still don’t see why you didn’t want a bachelor party,” Jeff rolls his eyes.

  “Quiet!” I whisper to them.

We all smarten ourselves up as the priest takes his place under the flower arch. He signals to the band and they start playing for Ella’s arrival.

Kat and Cameron come down the aisle and stand opposite my groomsmen. They both look gorgeous in their pale blue dresses. Marnie comes next, with a small basket of flower petals that she throws on the floor, at various guests. I remember this being Marnie’s idea.

I hold my breath and wait, until Ella appears, walking down the aisle. I know I saw her before, but now, at this moment with the sun illuminating her beautiful face, her white dress flowing in the breeze she looks so beautiful. She smiles at me as she notices me staring. I can’t help it! I sigh to myself, could anyone be happier right now?

She eventually reaches me, and I give her a hug. “You look so beautiful,” I whisper to her and I notice her blushing when we take our positions. She laughs, trying to hide behind her fringe, but blushing even more when she realizes she can’t.

I notice Mark and Cameron waving at each other from across the aisle, and Kat rolls her eyes.

The music stops and the priest begins by addressing the guests.

“Dearly beloved, we are all gathered here today to witness the union of Joseph David Abercrombie and Ella Georgina LeBlanc.”

I can’t believe the moment is finally here, this is just so perfect! I’m so happy.

“Now, before we start is there anyone here who wishes to share a reason why these two should not be married? Speak now or forever hold your peace.”

There’s a pause for a moment, and everyone collectively holds their breath, as if anyone could have a reason.

“Stop the wedding!” someone shouts from the back. Everyone gasps and Ella looks up at me with panic in her eyes.

I hold her tight, “Don’t worry it’ll be okay,” I whisper to her, not really knowing exactly what’s going to happen.

Julia stands up from behind the seated guests. Oh God, of course it would be her. What could she possibly have to say!

Everyone looks up at her and starts to talk.

“Well then, isn’t this a pretty scene,” she says, rubbing her claws together, “I hate to break up the party, but this wedding can’t go on!”

“Why not?” I shout back at her, “What could you possibly have to say?”

“Oh, not me. But this document proves everything.” She holds up a piece of paper and everyone gasps. “This is our certificate of divorce. It was filled out improperly, which means that Joe and I are still married. ’Til death do us part,” she grins, wickedly.

The priest stutters, unable to think of what to say. What am I supposed to do? There’s no way she’ll sign those papers again. I’m trapped. Tied to her forever! What am I going to do!

“Let me see that!” Kat shouts, moving from her position between Cameron and Marnie, and marching down the aisle up to Julia.

Julia takes a few steps backward, but trips on the sand. Ella and I watch in amazement as Kat snatches the document from Julia and walks up to the front of the ceremony and looks it over.

“This is a fake!” she exclaims to everyone, inciting another collective gasp.

“No, it’s—it’s real! There’s a mistake! We’re still married!” Julia tries to convince us again. I don’t know what to think anymore. Ella clings close to my side and I kiss her forehead.

“Yes, there are mistakes on this document that would deem it invalid, but there’s no way this would pass. It’s a forgery meant to look like it was a mistake.”

“Oh? And who are you supposed to be,” Julia is grasping at straws now.<

“I’m a lawyer, and if Mr. Abercrombie will permit me, I can have a copy of the real documents here in minutes to prove that he is not married to you anymore.” She glares at Julia before tearing up the fake in front of her, “Any last words before I have you tried for perjury?”

Julia shakes her head as she gets up off of the sand.

“Now, I suggest you get the hell out of here before the bride has anything to say about it, because if I were her I’d have half a mind to bitch slap a lawsuit on you so fast it would make your head spin.”

Everyone watches as Julia backs up and runs away, tripping in the sand and scrambling her way up again.

Kat goes back to standing in her position and we all turn and stare in awe at her.

“What?” she asks, ushering us to move on, “Continue.”

“I didn’t know she was a lawyer,” I whisper to Ella.

  “Neither did I,” she replies.

“She never talks about her job, so for all we know, she could be bluffing,” Cameron adds.

“Now that that’s over with,” the priest says, “Anyone else have anything to say?”

  “No!” everyone shouts at him.

“Okay, okay,” he laughs. “Then, it is now time we move on to the vows. I believe you’ve prepared vows for one another?”

We nod, and smile at each other.

“Excellent,” he turns to Michael, “Do you have the rings?”

“Here you go,” he says, handing them to Ella and me. He pats me on the shoulder as he passes.

The priest nods to Ella, letting her go first. I know she’s been working on her vows for months, so they’re probably going to be amazing.

She places the ring on my finger, then takes both of my hands and looks up at me. She doesn’t even have cards! She’s learned it all by heart!

“Joe, from the moment I met you, I knew I wanted to know more about you, especially when it turned out I’d been living under a rock and was the only person on the planet who never heard of you.”

I grin, and the audience laughs quietly.

“You’ve always been so incredible to me and never stop surprising me with how sweet you truly are. I was very naive and new to a lot of things in the world and you opened my eyes to everything I had been missing out on, namely what I believe to be true love and I am so happy that I have found that with you. There’s no one in this world that I would rather share my life with than you. And I can’t wait to discover more of it as your wife. I love you.”
