Relentless Desire Page 15

by Jacqwin Hess

Ella was very perceptive and knew she was leaving some things out. Her blush was giving everything away!

Adri tried seeing Ella right when she got back, but she had gone to visit her daughters and grandchildren. She had told Sebastian about Ella, how she helped the wonderful old woman out, visited her, took her groceries, and took her to visit her sister in the nursing home or like now, having taken Ella to Central Park to reminisce about days gone by.

She had met Ella at one of the book clubs she joined when she first arrived in New York, but she hadn’t wanted Sebastian to know about it for some reason and had told him she met her at one of those book-signing conventions. She just didn’t want him learning too much about her yet, that she was in book clubs or attempted to write herself. However, thus far, she’d been a complete failure at it. Although, she didn’t care and she still loved books and reading. She didn’t want him to know who she was friends with and associated with yet, not totally comfortable with him. He came across as a bit…overbearing and presumptuous. Thinking about it, she felt his presence around her—and if she wasn’t mistaken, there was a guy over by the steps in a black suit watching them. It felt more like he was watching over them.

She enjoyed being with Ella, loved the woman for her wisdom and years of life experiences and her stories. She was a joy to be around, as were her crazy Bridge Ladies. “I just don’t know,” Adri sighed, looking down from the people jogging by, brushing a leaf that had fallen into her lap, and smoothing a hand over her black pencil skirt. “He’s so experienced and…aggressive; domineering, bossy, and very presumptuous–Ohmigosh!” Adri thought about the vibe in her cabinet waiting to be used, which she absolutely wouldn’t do, and sighed, wondering how she was going to give it back. Nasty boy! “He may be a bit too dirty for me. I just don’t think I could handle—”

“Oh my god, Adriaunn Vale, you could seriously use a good case of ‘dirty.’ If anyone could, it’s you. Go for it, girl. Who did you say it was?”

“Oh. I didn’t. The man’s name is Sebastian. Sebastian Darvaine.”

Ella’s eyes just about popped out of her head and she suddenly smiled and burst out laughing. “And you haven’t jumped on that one?! Are you out of your mind?!”

  “You know him?”

“Who doesn’t? Oh mercy–his father?! Man alive, now there was a beaut in his day! That’s short for beauty,” she groaned under her breath and then sighed, shaking her head at her memories. “Strutting around Wall Street like he owned the place and I guess he did, at least a good part of it. The son clearly comes by his bossiness honestly. Father was a tyrant deluxe. I worked for Darvaine Enterprise Holdings, Inc. once upon a time and he was an ass! Gorgeous, but an ass none the less.”

  “So…you know Sebastian’s father?”

“Oh god no. That man wouldn’t stoop to speak to any low-level clerk like me. Hell would freeze over first. I didn’t stay there long. I suppose the boy runs everything with as hard an iron fist as the father did now that the old man kicked off,” Ella replied and they sat there a few seconds before she looked back over at her and grinned. “So…Sebastian Darvaine. I’ll be damned. Enjoy it while you got it, girl. Don’t be a fool. Even if nothing comes of it, it will, in some way, benefit your life and be one hell of a memory to keep. He’s a looker, too.”

“Oh God, that’s the understatement of the century. Now, let’s go get some groceries and I’ll fix your favorite for you. Lasagna or parmesan chicken?”

“Nah, how about Mexican? Do you have any good recipes from south of the border?”

“Do I? Honey, I have Mexican in the blood, or so I’ve been told. I’ll fix you up some Rio Mexicana like you’ve never had before!”

“Ah! You’re an angel! I don’t know what I would do without you. You are just an absolute delight! And the best part is tonight is Bridge night at my place. You will be staying won’t you?”

“No me lo perdería por nada del mundo. Ha! That means ‘I wouldn’t miss it for the world,’ in Spanish.” Adri replied and Miss Ella just laughed, taking Adri’s offered arm and let Adri assist her up the stairs. The man in the black suit walked away, glancing back to them as he talked on his cell phone. Adri just told herself she was being stupid and paranoid, putting him out of her mind. She kept heading to the grocery store and then Ella’s home, where she made the most incredible Mexican feast—margaritas included for all the ladies there.

She left Ella and her friends in quite a happy state and had a wonderful time with them. It had been so enjoyable being around a bunch of fun, old Italian ladies who’s seen and done it all. She came in and dropped back against the door. Ugh! Like a beacon that couldn’t and wouldn’t be put out, she felt that thing there with every step she took when she was home—the dildo in the cabinet. She hadn’t called him or communicated with him at all, either, and it’s been two full days. Ella told her to go for it again and don’t be stupid. A man like him was no doubt shell-shocked at meeting her and having met his first “nice girl.” Maybe that was the case, considering his lifestyle and who he was.

Now she was back home and staring down at that door, but huffed, shaking her head and turning around to get out an ice cube. She popped it in her mouth, sucking on the liquid as it melted on her heated tongue. She reached up and took the ice cube out, held it, and then froze when she thought of Sebastian feeding it to her, running it over her body and slipping it inside of her pussy. She stood there staring at it, thinking about how it cooled her mouth down and felt the heat up inside of her. She didn’t even think. She opened her shirt, pulled apart her bra, and ran the cube over her nipple. She then reached down, drawing the split in her skirt apart and lifting it; she pressed the cube to her clit over her panties. She was too fired up, slipping both hands inside of her panties and ran it over her folds, then seethed when she shoved it up inside of her, gasping and panting out as she suffered through the cold burn, feeling warm water run down her fingers from inside of her, soaking her panties and down her legs as it melted. She kept fingering herself, swishing the ice about and shuttering, throwing her head back. She jerked as she burst and burst and burst, bringing herself into a little climax with that gorgeous man’s name on her lips! “Sebastian…Ooh…Sebastian…”

Sebastian just stared up at the wall monitor overhead, mouth dropped open and drying, eyes shot wide. He watched her smile after she came; fingers of one hand still in her pussy as the other hand lifted up to her lips, sliding down the fridge in her post-coital tryst. He was so bad, but he didn’t give a shit. Owning the building across the street as well, he had a camera set up in one of the vacant rooms and zoomed in on her place to watch her. She stayed there, slumped on the floor, an arm resting on top of her head, panting, her legs bent up, spread, fingering herself still. He could see her stare at the cabinet where she put the vibrator. Come on! Get it out!

She didn’t of course, only gave it a smirkey, satisfied smile and then put her feet under her, getting up and going to the closet. She jerked off her tan suit jacket and then unbuttoned her shirt, getting undressed. She was so beautiful wearing sexy black lacy panties and a matching bra, which she discarded and put on an old ratty Viking’s football jersey. She yawned, going over to the bed, which also served as her couch, and curled up where she passed out and slept.

That was it! He was going to clear his schedule and do what he had to in order to see to it that Adriaunn Vale became his! Enough of this fucking plutonic bullshit! Later that night he was pleased to see she was reading over his medical files he’d sent.

On Saturday–two weeks from the first date and one week from the second date–Adri went out and enjoyed some shopping, going to the older side of town where cheaper and more unique gifts could be found. It was a gorgeous July day and she wanted to enjoy every minute of it. She refused to just sit around waiting on him to show up or call. She wasn’t calling him or anything, leaving it to him to make the next move. She just couldn’t bear the embarrassment anymore.

  “What
the hell is she doing here?!” Sebastian shouted and swung his head around, seeing Adri’s beaming face as she walked down the sidewalk in a very…unsafe neighborhood. “Oh my god. TJ!”

“I saw her!” TJ shouted back to him and then he went around the block, coming back to where they last saw her and parked on the side of the road. She was looking at some items on a bin outside a store, laughing and putting on a goofy frog hat, funky shades, and then taking a selfie. Then she grabbed another hat up, tilting her head as she tried to decipher it when someone told her—the lips of a vagina. She screamed out and dropped it, jumping back and marring her lips. She shook her hands, grossed out, but laughed again.

“Ah…come on! Everybody needs a good vagina hat! We have dick hats, too!”

The guy tried to sell it to her, but she waved her hands and shook her head, taking off down the road. She stopped before another store, finding something in the window. It was a large snow globe of ballerinas; she was clearly excited about it. She disappeared from sight and then came back out a few minutes later with a large box in her arm, having bought it. A few more stores down, she finally came to an abrupt halt, which made Sebastian smile as he watched her eyes grow wide and then look back to the store she just passed. She turned around and then walked back to the store. It made him suddenly tense as she went into Ladies Delights and More, a shop where they sold lingerie and other unique items. He was about to go in, but she suddenly ran out. He saw her spin around with the look of horror on her face before walking away as fast as she could. She went to the corner and got on a bus headed back toward her home in SoHo. He stayed with the bus until she got off and they watched her go back in.

“Stay for a minute, TJ. I want to make sure she’s—” He didn’t even get to finish the sentence before she was coming back out. She dropped off her bags, locked her door, and headed down the alley. She was digging in her purse, so she didn’t see his car parked on the other side of the road. She got on the bus again, and that time, she went to the best part of New York. She got off on Fifth Avenue where she just walked the shops, but went into one of the children’s stores, Prestigious Child, and began to browse. She missed the glances exchanged between two of the sales clerks, who looked over her outfit and snickered behind her back.

Adri beamed as she found the perfect little dress for Gina, holding it up and just loving it, knowing it would be perfect on her. “It’s so sweet—”

  “May I help you?”

Adri froze in shock at the shitty tone in the woman’s voice. Her face burned red in embarrassment as she set the adorable little dress down and noticed the snobby glares from other women in there with their little girls. They went back to their shopping, not at all bothered by the sales woman’s hateful tone.

She was dressed in her best suit for crying out loud. It wasn’t…Fifth Avenue quality and obviously so, but still, she didn’t care, the woman shouldn’t have spoken to her that way. She couldn’t even speak for a moment she was in such shock and shook her head at her, but then she got pissed and walked up to her, glaring back. “Yes, you can, you can go…” She glanced over at the little girl who was staring and watching them. The saleswoman crossed her arms and shifted her weight. “You can get me the manager.”

“I am the manager, and I can’t see anything in here you could possibly afford. Right, Tina?”

“Right, Darla. We don’t need…” she glanced over her again. “…your kind in here. It’s bad for business and runs our true customers off. So if you wouldn’t mind, stop pawing the merchandise, and just go…without any more of a scene than you’ve caused by daring to step into a place you clearly don’t belong.” She even went over and held the door open for her…

Adri was absolutely livid. She dashed into a store and cried in the women’s dressing room for a moment. She put her face back together, still somewhat stunned, and finally emerged back out. She told herself that not all the shops were like that and then went right back out there. “Prestigious child! What a bunch of prestigious assholes! I hate them! Damn cuntcakes!” She found herself surrounded by pretty pajamas and girlie stuff everywhere. Lifting up pretty bottles of bubble bath, soap, and lotion, she smelled them all, loving the scents. She then turned and saw a gorgeous mannequin wearing a coppery brown silk nightgown—suddenly seeing herself going into Sebastian’s bed wearing it, in his house, and rubbing on her new lotion after a bubble bath.

Nothing to make a girl feel better than to buy herself something pretty. She found her size on the rack and grabbed it. She found a few other pretty panties, a few new stockings, garter belts, and two new bras. The sales clerk; a tall, sexy blonde-haired woman with a supermodel’s face, announced her price. She looked down at Adri with that snobby look, expecting her to have money problems. Adri wondered if she was only being sensitive after the last incident, and dashed off. Taking a deep breath, she grabbed two of the most expensive nightgowns in that store and threw them on the pile. Then she pulled out her credit card, but the woman waved it off and shook her head.

“It’s ah…just been paid for, Miss Vale, and he wanted these to go with it. He doesn’t want you in the reds, but the white and creams. He said, ‘not to worry, you’ll see him soon’ and that the car is waiting for you out front,” the clerk replied, giving her the brightest smile as she packaged the lingerie and other items up for her.

“Thank you for coming in, Miss Vale. Please feel free to come back anytime; there is an open line of credit waiting for you here now.”

“He’s here…” Private. Keep it private. Deal with him in private… “Put an extra hundred on the tab for yourself dear. Your commission for being a wonderful salesperson.” Feeling awesome about that, she collected the three bags, turned, and walked out where she stared at that chauffeur who stood waiting for her. “Is he here?”

“No. I saw you and called him to tell him. I actually saw you in the scariest neighborhood in existence and that’s why I called him. He ordered me to stay the hell on you, so I have been following you. Now, you’re going to let me return you home safely when you’re finished. He won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

“You called him?! Ugh!” She stomped her foot and gave him a pouty frown, mad at him. “What did you do that for?!” she hissed at him. He just crooked that black brow at her and crossed his arms, then held out his hand for her bags. “Ooh. Fine!” She shoved them in his hand and he just smiled.

“Good. My name is TJ, and I’ll be your chauffeur for the day. Now see? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”

She just huffed again and then spun away, ready to go spend some of her own money. She immediately looked for him, but it was useless there on Fifth Avenue with everyone getting in and out of limos, chauffeured cars, and looking oh-so-elegant and beautiful in designer clothes. If he wanted to see her and he was there, he’d show himself; clearly, he didn’t, having passed his chauffeur onto her instead. Nice. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she felt his eyes on her, but then she told herself she was being ridiculous; he was entirely too busy to be messing with her. She knew he was sitting up in his lofty towers, crushing companies and ruling the world—definitely ruling her and she couldn’t wait to get back home to see what all was in the bags.

She had a blast. She went to Saks Fifth Avenue and had her makeup done, which turned out to be really good and ended up buying herself some blush, lipstick, and nail polish. She went to another children’s store that treated her far better than the other one. She even found the same adorable dress she had fallen in love with for Gina and bought it from there, so excited she was able to end up with it after all. She grabbed a few items for Mary, too, and some toys and books for them. She stepped out, giving it all to her chauffeur who smiled at her, gave her a wink as he collected the bags, and put them in the back of the limo.

She got her favorite coffee after that, and then went on to hit several other stores before ending the day in a restaurant, eating by herself. She thought that by some miracle he’d show up, knowing
TJ would call him, but it never happened. She packaged it all up, bought another meal, and brought it out to TJ. “Hope you like that and it’s yummy. I see one more store I’d like to hit. I’ll be right back.”

“She bought you lunch?” Sebastian replied to TJ, who had told him—after he swallowed the bite of the lasagna she had ordered for him. Sebastian sighed and spoke. “She’s…kind like that. Take care of her for me, all right? And don’t let her get into any trouble. Thank you for doing this. I know it’s not in the job description, but I appreciate it. I wish I could be there.”

“Trust me, I don’t mind it at all when it’s a girl like her. You did very well with this one. I like her. She’s better than…well, ah…you know,” he groaned under his breath. He thought about the others that he referred to as ‘shitty little bitches’ that had accompanied his boss at charity events or business dinners. He ended up sleeping with none of them and just left them for TJ to drop off alone, having to hear them complain the whole…way…back…

  “Yeah–way better.”

“Gotta go. She’s on the move.”

“All right. Call me if anything arises and if you—”

“Oh. She stopped. She’s…staring at the Chanel store.”

“Put the phone down, take up your plate, act like you’re eating and listening to music, rocking to it.”

TJ did as Sebastian said when Adri glanced over at him. He didn’t look at her as he took a bite and then shook his head, acting like he was singing to music. He saw her press her fingers to her lips and then looked back to the store…and heading over to it, since he was still eating and doing fine there. He grabbed up his phone. “She just went over.”
