“What I got is this,” he said close to her ear. “I now have Abbadon’s power, and only he could close this cave off forever.”
“Close it. I never did want to go up there anyway,” she tossed.
“Oh, I intend to,” he said with a smirk. “See you.”
Struggling against her restraints, she cried out, “No, you can’t… you won’t… without a leader… we’ll perish… we’ll… Ash, you bastard… you…”
As Ash walked towards the cave opening, her voice became fainter and fainter. Stepping outside, he took one long look at the opening. “Sidiv Anniva Eternis,” he said. And then the earth began to rumble.
Rush pushed on miserably up the mountain. He could go forward but not backward. He didn’t understand anything. It’s like Ash had completely changed… maybe his true nature became visible when he returned to that place. But Abbadon was gone. He had slain his father. The curse was broken but yet, he wanted to stay there…with her! Suddenly, Rush felt the earth tremble beneath him. He struggled to remain upright. What was it? What was going on? Then, as quickly as it began, it stopped.

Ash got up on his horse without giving the cave another look. It was over. He galloped up over the mountain, looking for Rush. He spotted him trudging up a steep slope, looking completely defeated. Riding up behind him, he said, “Lost your horse?”
Rush turned around and looked up into Ash’s face. “What…I…what are you doing. I thought…”
Ash jumped down off the horse, a smile on his handsome dark face.
Rush studied him curiously. “All that back there…”
“I had to get you out of there. I had won. Everything was settled. Why did you come after me?” Ash demanded, a smile still planted on his face. There was no sense being angry about that now. There were much better things to do.
“Because,” Rush said, reaching up to touch his face, “I love you and I…”
“That’s enough,” Ash said. “Loving me is enough. I sealed up the cave.”
Rush wrapped his arms around him. “And the spell?”
“It’s over,” Ash told him.
Rush kissed him deeply.
“Umm, is that a hint of coming attractions?”
“Wait until I get you home,” Rush winked. “I believe that you do deserve something for risking that demon hide of yours the way you did.”
“Um, sounds pleasurable.”
“Believe me, the pleasure will be all mine,” Rush said, licking his lips.
Ash felt his heart beat quicken. He sucked in some breath. “Well then, let’s get going,” Ash insisted, getting up onto his horse.
Rush jumped up behind him and they started off.
As they rode along, Ash could feel Rush’s body pressed close against his. The distinct impression of a budding erection was lodging itself against his tailbone; and Rush’s hands were getting temptingly close to his own hardening sex. He doubted very much if either one of them would last until they got home.
As Rush let his hand stray over Ash’s massive erection, he sighed, finding it difficult not to imagine what was to come. Loving Ash would be a challenge. He hadn’t even begun to scratch the surface of what he was all about. As the horse slowed, then came to a halt, he felt Ash rear back in his arms, urgently pressing Rush’s hand to his sex. Rush smiled. This was a better time than any to start scratching.
