“Absolutely,” I said, dropping off my things under the desk and waving to Tony, who as usual, stood in the corner. We spoke on occasion, but only when we were alone. And it always ended with talking about Jacob.

“So how long are you here for?”

“Well, until the restoration and rebranding is done. But it’s all up to Jacob. This is his project, so he makes the calls on it.”

“Is that how it works with them?”

“Oh yeah. They try to let one of them take it from start to finish, then it’s managed as a team. Supposedly, it keeps them from bumping heads. And that seems to keep them successful.” I liked her even though I was very intimidated. This was going to be a long and depressing day.

  Chapter 5

  Jacob

The longest three months of my life were finally over. After the night I first met her, I didn’t wait for the sunlight to break before I checked out of the hotel. Thank fuck she’d been gone already, but I hadn’t slept a damn wink. My thoughts and heart were running fucking wild for the raven-haired beauty at the desk who I shouldn’t have been ogling like a creepy pervert. Leaving was the smartest thing to do. Since the moment I entered my room, I focused on making a ton of calls. One was to that asshat realtor, wondering if we could see the properties in the morning because I had to fly out by ten that night. I met him at the local Denny’s, and after a quick breakfast, we checked out the two other locations. By the time I landed back in Houston, I had the paperwork being processed to purchase all of the properties for a fraction of what they were worth. Having met Harley, they were worth much more to me.

The build was already underway and the old hotel was getting a nice facelift. None of the rooms were shut down, but an extension was being added, along with repaving and resurfacing of the outer brick. Now it was my time to inspect the place and claim what belonged to me. What sweet Harley Miller didn’t know was that she was mine. It wasn’t in the contract, but from the day I left, one of my personal guards flew out to keep tabs on her. He learned everything he could about her while maintaining a safe distance. Having been sent as a guard for the property, or so she believed, it was easy for him to maintain that façade.

I pulled up to the hotel in my Cadillac Escalade, parking it and making sure I didn’t look too old. I was acting like a pussy. Here was the girl I knew everything about, and thanks to my man, Tony, she knew a lot of good things about me and I was a fucking nervous wreck.

The men were working and it was noisy all around, so she didn’t hear the door as I came in. She was off talking to that fucking realtor, Bryan Little. Tony told me all about this guy creeping around, but since she wasn’t legal, he kept his comments clean. Either way, he didn’t have any business being around here. The building was sold to me and my family.

“Mr. Little, Ms. Miller is on the clock and needs to be doing her job,” I bit out, looking at the way he was staring at her blouse. The button at the center of her chest popped open. “Ms. Miller, may I see you in the manager’s office for a moment?” I asked with a stern look. My jealousy was seeping through my bones, and with a wave of my finger, Tony approached. “Tony, please man the front desk.”

I walked behind her as she went to the manager’s office. My eyes had been glued to her hourglass figure and her round ass that was sporting a really tight skirt. We stepped into the office and I locked the door behind me. She turned to face me and I reached out for her and tugged at her blouse, buttoning it again.

“Oh my God.” She was mortified, but I wasn’t upset with her. I was upset with that fucker who noticed it was undone and didn’t have the decency to say something.

“I’m so sorry, sir,” she muttered in embarrassment.

“Harley, how many times must I ask you to call me Jacob?” I questioned, inching closer to her as she stepped back from me until her ass hit the desk.

She lifted her chin at me and quirked her brow. “Well, since you snuck out like a thief in the night, it’s only been twice now.”

“Sweet little Harley, are you mad at me? Did you miss me?”

  “No,” she rushed out.

“Don’t lie, my sassy, little beauty. I know you did. I missed you, too,” I confessed, running my finger along her silky skin down her collarbone and into the top of her cleavage.

“You left without a goodbye.” She looked mad at herself for confessing that, but I already knew that it bothered her. I will make that up to her.

“I ached to spread you across that counter and eat your creamy pussy until you begged me to let you come. Then I was going to stuff my thick cock into your pussy and fill it up with my cum,” I whispered against her ear. “And that, baby, was illegal. Now, I want your pussy and nothing is going to stop me as long as you want it.”

  “I…I…”

“Now, don’t lie to me, Harley.”

“I wasn’t. I want you, too. But not here. I’m not going to give you my virginity in the manager’s office.”

  “Hold up. You’re a virgin?”

“Yes, is that hard to believe?”

“A little, but that’s nothing on you, sweet Harley. Fuck. We’ll have to wait. A new staff member from one of my other hotels will be coming today to take over your shift.”

“What? You can’t do that. I need this job.”

“No, you don’t. What you need is to be tied to my bed and letting my seed fill you up until we make the next generation of Middletons.”

I leaned down and took her mouth hard and fast, kissing her in a moment of full possession. I moaned, pulling away from her mouth. “Perfect. I can’t wait until I have you spread out over our bed.”

The bell in front dinged. “Um. I have to get back to work,” she muttered, her eyes looked at mine. “You left me.”

“Well, I wasn’t looking forward to jail, which would take me away for a lot longer.”

  “You didn’t say goodbye.”

  “Because I couldn’t. I wouldn’t have left at all.”

  “Why?”

“Why? Because I fell in love with you on the spot. It was wrong and now I’m back to make it right. I’m sorry I left, but it wasn’t like you treated me any different than any other guest.”

  “That’s true.”

“By the way, happy birthday, baby.” I leaned in and kissed her puffy lips again.

“Thank you. How did you know it was my birthday?”

“Harley, I know everything about you. You see, there was a reason Tony’s been here since I left.”

“You’ve had him here to spy on me?”

“No, Tony is my head of security. I had him here to make sure nothing happened to you. He knows only what you told him. I looked up your public record.”

  “I don’t have a record.”

“Baby, everyone has a record. I’m not talking about a criminal one. Just things that are reported to the government.”

“Sorry. So you know I’m not bright.”

“I know that you have a beautiful heart and you do the best that you can in everything. I know that you volunteer at the women’s shelter in the next town over. I know that you go to the library every week to read to small children.”

The bell was dinging again, so I growled, “Now, let’s go see who’s out there to annoy us.”

I grabbed her hand in mine and pulled her to the door. Before I opened it, I stopped and stole a quick kiss. “Couldn’t resist.” As soon as we got back to the lobby, I saw who had been ringing the bell. We stared at each other and I knew they were playing everything out in their heads.

“So, brother, she’s the reason for the rush,” Joe said, looking at Harley with an air of suspicion.

“Joseph, Julian, I’d like you to meet my fiancée, Harley.” Their eyes bugged out, and so did hers. “What? I thought I made that clear in there.” I looked at her waiting for her to argue with me. “The business deal is solid and you know it. Harley was just the icing on the cake.”

“Can we have a talk for a minute in private?”
/>
“Sure. Harley, we’re going to go in the manager’s office. Get your things and I’ll be back in a minute,” I kissed her again and patted her ass before storming back to the office.

As soon I closed the door, I muttered, “What the fuck brings you up here?” I stuffed my hands in my pocket because I was tempted to deck one of them if they said anything about her.

Julian leaned against the door and said, “We wanted to check on you since you’d been acting strange the last few days.”

“Well, what the fuck do you want to know?” I huffed, pacing the small office. It wasn’t that small, but I was the thinnest of us and I was still two hundred pounds and six-one.

“Who is she and why didn’t you say anything?”

“She’s a beautiful woman I fell in love with on the spot. I’ve been itching to get back to claim her.”

“Why the wait? I mean, if you felt like that from the start, then why did you leave, bro?”

  “Because today is her birthday.”

“Oh shit. Do you mean to tell me she’s barely legal?”

“Yes, so I stayed away. I didn’t want to do something stupid. I was interested in the property before I met her, so she had nothing to do with it. I nabbed the deal because it was a fucking steal and you all know that.”

“Hey, I understand. I want Rachael, but she works for us.” I looked at my staid older brother completely surprised by the admission. He wasn’t the kind of guy to show his feelings for people and I never saw him with a girl. And since he worked like eighty hours a week, I didn’t think he cared for a woman in his life.

“Oh shit! I essentially fired Harley today. So, fire her ass, then marry her.”

“That’s easy for you to say, that girl likes you. Rachael told a couple of employees that she wouldn’t mind if I tossed myself off a building,” Joe complained. I saw the hurt in his eyes and even playful Jules seemed to be solemn with that.

“Wow. What the fuck did you do to her?” I asked.

“Nothing that I know of.” Joe shrugged with this hands out in confusion. Other than being driven by work, I can’t imagine Joe being mean to anyone but us brothers.

“Sorry, Joe. But if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to Harley. I plan to spend the entire day with her. Tomorrow, we can hang out together and explore the properties and the builds, but I need time with her. It’s been hell to be without her for three months. I even had cameras installed in this place, but the thought of seeing her made me want to run here.”

“What about her parents?” Julian asked.

“She doesn’t have parents. She has a grandmother that she cares for, but she’s currently in a nursing home. And I plan to meet her before I take Harley back to Texas.”

Joe gave me a look as I walked to the door. “Good luck, bro. You’re going to have to tell mom and dad, though.”

“I’m telling you, bro. Run to Vegas if you can,” Julian joked.

“I’ll check with Harley, but if so, are you guys coming?”

“Fuck yeah. I could use a trip to Vegas,” Julian cheered, nodding his head in appreciation of the idea.

I walked out of the room, not waiting for these fuckers. There was still too much shit to do. Like kissing the fuck out of Harley before I dropped to my knees and ate her pussy until she was creaming. My cock was aching and I adjusted it as I walked down the hall. I got to the main lobby and there was Rachael. I didn’t want to argue with Joe, so I didn’t tell him that she was going to take over for Harley. He was going to freak when he saw her here.

Harley was talking to Rachael, who came into town yesterday, having set up her temporary apartment. They were hitting it off. Rachael gave her a hug. “Hello, ladies,” I said, walking up to Harley and wrapping my arm around her.

“Hello, Jacob,” Rachael replied with a smile that slowly faded as my brothers’ footsteps got closer. “What is he doing here?”

“It’s not your concern, Ms. Harrison,” Joe bit out. “Jake, we’re going to look around the place and see what’s going on and meet with the construction crew. Let us know if you need anything.” He looked back at Rachael. “And Ms. Harrison, book Julian and I two rooms.”

“Yes, sir,” she bit off, raising her chin. I felt the tension and I wondered what he did to her. Joe wasn’t a player at all and he was a big stick in the mud. As the oldest he was the one to stay strong and keep us in line. A bossy fuck, but a great brother and human being. I didn’t know what was up her ass.

I looked at Harley and asked, “Are you ready, sweetheart?”

“I guess.” She nervously looked down at the ground. I had my hulking brothers, Tony, and Rachael standing around. I grabbed her bag, slipping it over my shoulder and intertwined our fingers.

“I’ll see you all tomorrow.” It was only nine in the morning, but I wanted our time alone.

I walked her to my car and helped her in. I didn’t have a plan for us, but I asked, “Did you have any plans today?”

“No,” she said. “Just to work.”

“Well then, what’s there to do in this town?” I asked. I looked up the things to do and there wasn’t much. Of course, there would be a hell of a lot more to do in the next year or two. One hotel site was going to have an indoor waterpark attached to it, which will attract a lot of visitors in the winter time.

“Not much. There’s a park and an ice cream parlor. That’s why they are building a theme park in the next town over,” she said, rolling her eyes at me.

“Okay, smart ass. Take me to your place, and we can have a whole afternoon and night of fun,” I replied, rakishly wagging my brows at her with a slight nod.

  “Um…my house is small.”

“So,” I said with a shrug as I drove out of the hotel parking lot. She gave me the address, which I didn’t need, but I wanted her approval before going. I just said I planned to fuck her, so it was her chance to tell me to go fuck off but she didn’t. My cock hoped to fucking hell that she wouldn’t stop me later. It had been three long and hard months. Hell, it had been twenty-four years of no action, but I never wanted a woman to the point of pure pain. Women didn’t fit in with my plans. My father told us boys that we should never let the company suffer for a woman. A good woman would enrich your life, and until the right one comes along, the rest weren't worth the risk of losing what we had built from the ground up. He was right. If I couldn’t picture a future with a woman, I moved along. Harley was different. I saw everything I could have with her by my side. I craved her to the point of insanity. Every time I thought of her I was hard, and I couldn’t stroke during the work day, so I found myself leaving on time and beating off like it was fucking competition and I wanted to win first place.

Her house was about a mile from where we were. She was right. It was a tiny little one-level ranch. It looked like it hadn’t seen an upgrade since the place was built. I didn’t know what she wanted to do with this place since we were moving to Texas very soon, but if she wanted to remodel and keep it, that was up to her. It could be our small vacation home or something like that.

She rushed to the door to unlock it and I followed quickly behind her. “This is my home,” she said with an anxious grin. When I stepped inside, I was surprised about how bright it was in there. The walls were stark white and sun was beaming through the gauzy curtains. The furniture was a very soft grey and sparse.

“Have you lived here your whole life?” I asked, looking around the room.

“Yes and no. We stayed here whenever my dad would lose his job. He worked seasonally and got laid off when the weather changed. After he died, I came to live with my grandma permanently.”

“What about your mom?” I asked. I knew her mother didn’t die, but not all information was accessible and, well, having her tell me was better.

She twisted her lips, pursing them before she said, “She had enough of my dad’s inconsistent work and left us. It was about a year before he died and she’s remarried now.”

  “How do you feel a
bout that?”

“It’s okay. I’ve gotten over it. She wasn’t the motherly type and I haven’t seen her in at least a year. She came to show off her husband, but claimed it was for some documents she needed. I don’t care if I ever see her again. It’s a terrible thing to say, but it’s the truth.” Her shame seeped through her words, but if I had a parent like that I would feel the same way, but I had amazing parents who loved and wanted us.

“Are you the motherly type? Do you want a family?” I hadn’t asked because I was being selfish, but it was important. If she didn’t want kids, I could hold off and get her some birth control.

“I hope to be a wonderful mother. I want kids,” she said with a smile.

“Good because I want to have lots of babies with you.” She smiled and her face flushed with a bit of anxiety and anticipation. I loved it. “We’re going to stay together until the day we die, Harley.”

  Chapter 6

  Harley

“Please don’t play with me, Jacob. I’ve missed you so much,” I pleaded with him. He didn’t say a word as he closed the distance. I felt my back hit the wall leading to the kitchen. Jacob cupped my cheeks, sliding his hands into my hair and tugging my head back while he closed his mouth down on mine. His strong body pinned me in as he deepened the kiss and claimed me.

He pulled back just enough to rest his head against mine. Panting, he said, “I told you I loved you from the start. There’s no reason to play games. I want you. If you want to go to Vegas and get married, I’ll prove it today.”

“I thought you wanted me naked in bed all day.”

“I’m putting my kid in here and then I’m taking you to marry me. Now, where is your bedroom?” he asked with a deep growl that set my panties on fire. My body was fevered. Nerves had disappeared and desire kicked in. I pointed the way and he carried me there like a man with a plan. I was giddy with excitement. Three months of fantasizing about him had me to the brink of insanity, and here he was ready to give me what I’ve been craving.
