Kyle stared at the phone for a moment before he grabbed his personal phone and sent the pictures of his sister and nephew to the burner phone he carried with him on missions. He made sure that the pictures were on the phone before he hid it in the vent in the bathroom. He looked around before he left for the office to pay for another month’s rent on the room.
Rolantro sent waves of calming energy to the major before he disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared light years away.

Dagog strode the corridors of the Relian mother ship in determination, barely acknowledging those he passed. He stopped in front of a door and straightened his clothes before he walked inside unannounced.
“My brothers still have the whole damn quadrant blocked, and all my efforts to get around them aren’t working,” he complained as he walked inside.
“That means no ice cream anytime soon, doesn’t it?”
Dagog looked over at the young boy and smiled as he ruffled his hair.
“We’ll figure something out, I promise,” Dagog assured the boy.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” a beautiful blond said as she rubbed her burgeoning stomach in agitation.
“You should know by now that I don’t, Terese. I promised to have you, didn’t I?” Dagog said while his mind plotted a way around his brothers and the blockade they’d set up around Earth.
Rolantro watched for only a few moments before he disappeared again, cursing his inability to interfere.
