“Wow.” She didn’t sound wowed.
“Um, I have to get to that meeting.” I backed out of the bathroom, desperate to get away from her.
“I’ll see you out there.” Emma sounded vaguely disgusted.
Again, I’d offended someone I didn’t even know. I grabbed my phone and my notebook, hustling out to the quad. Maybe life at Hollingsworth wasn’t going to be so different, after all.

On from all the winning… I need to profusely thank Stephenie Meyer, who has NO IDEA I EXIST but is such an inspiration. I never gave vampires much thought until Twilight. It was so much fun to write The Pageant and dive into writing about the supernatural!
Continuing in the vein of Twilight fan-girling, I listened to the Breaking Dawn soundtrack while I wrote this book. Thank you to the artists on the album! I named some of the chapters after song lyrics. The music got so into my head, it came out on the page!
