She Got It Bad for a Heartless Gangsta 2 Page 22

by Shvonne Latrice

Finally realizing that the coast was clear, I got out of the car. Closing the door, I used the car as a mirror to straighten out my outfit. I had on a red mini skirt, a white crop top, and some all-white stiletto sandals. My hair was bone straight of course, and since Draylah came back earlier today, she’d blessed my brows. For as long as I’d been legal, I was never the type of girl to dress down. I wasn’t sure if it was my personality or because of my years of being a hoe, but I stayed in heels and revealing outfits.

“Aye, aye, aye.” Some dude in sweats jogged over to me. Once he reached me, he took my hand into his. “Baby, there was no way I could let you get by me without at least trying to get ya number.”

Slowly taking my hand from him, I just smiled and turned around.

“So is that a no?” he yelled after me.

  “Absolutely.”

I entered the building and went right to the room that MG told me he’d be in. Upon seeing me, all the men in the studio stared with their mouths open, and MG got up to greet me. We hugged, and then I planted a nice kiss on his fine ass, before he gestured for me to have a seat in a comfy chair.

“Kattlyn, this is Maybach, Automatic, Bruce, Avery, and then Flow.” MG pointed to each guy, and when his finger landed on the last man, my stomach dropped.

  “Nice to meet you guys.”

“You too, beautiful … Thanks for giving us something to look at …” The men rattled off random responses. My mind was stuck on Flow though.

I kept my eyes on MG as he went into the booth to lay down a verse, but I could feel Flow’s eyes burning a hole through me.

“Tell Micah I went to the restroom. Do you know where it is?” I looked to Maybach.

“Right outside of here at the end of the hall, baby girl.”

“Thanks.” I quickly snatched up my purse and rushed down the hall to where the bathroom was.

Stepping inside, I clutched the edge of the sink and just closed my eyes to pray. I used to pray a lot when I was younger, but as life got harder for me, I stopped. I felt like it wasn’t working. But now, my life had been seemingly piecing together, and I couldn’t help but feel like it was because of God, despite my somewhat abandonment of him.

After praying to God to help me keep MG in my life, even though I didn’t deserve him because of my past, I washed my hands and left out.

“Where you headed?” Flow met me outside of the door, hemming me up a little bit. His tall frame leaned over me as he licked his lips.

“Move, please. I honestly don’t get why you’re in my face.” I attempted to push him back, but he didn’t budge.

“I got some cash on me, so why don’t we go out to my whip right quick for round two.”

“I don’t do that anymore, so please get out of my way.”

“Since when? Last time I checked, you were still a hoe. I wonder what my boy would think about that.”

“Don’t tell him, please, I’m begging you.” I softened my tone and demeanor since he had the upper hand.

Running his tongue across his lip, he said, “Aight. Either you let me fuck, or convince yo’ mean ass homegirl to pump me to Ricky. I got a track I want him on.”

  “I can’t—”

“Or we can fuck, and right now.”

  “I’ll talk to her.”

“Cool.” Flow kissed my cheek, and then looked me up and down before shaking his head in awe.

I watched him walk off down the hall, and once I finally had myself together, I went down the hall as well. Going back into the room, I saw MG was listening to the verse he’d put down, so I went to sit in his lap instead of in the chair he’d given me.

Smiling at me, he wrapped his arm around my waist, and I hugged his neck before giving him a kiss. I felt Flow’s eyes on me, but I just ignored it.

Every time I took ten steps forward, I took one hundred steps back.

  Chapter Eight: Bia

Today was my last day at Bordeaux and I was beyond happy. My mother’s friend, Guinevere, agreed to give me a position with her marketing firm. She said it’d be temporary while I was in school, and then once I graduated and presented her with my degree, my position would be permanent. I didn’t mind that at all, because my degree would be in my hand very soon. Plus, I’d be getting paid to do what I loved much earlier than planned.

I stuffed my uniform into my bag for the last time, and smiled as I closed my old locker. As I threw the bag onto my shoulder, Vicky walked into the back.

“Damn, I’m gonna miss you and all the fine men you started to bring in,” she smiled. “There is one waiting for you tonight.”

“Who?” I was praying like hell that it wasn’t Qamar. Yeah, he’d been doing better, but he was unpredictable in my eyes still. I wasn’t in the mood to be let down by him again.

“Some fine ass chocolate man with braids. Said he was waiting for you and he was holding some roses.”

  Cody.

  “Really? Okay, thank you.”

I gave Vicky a hug and then left the locker room for the last time. On my way out I spotted Dennis, so I hugged him too before leaving. Right outside of the door, I saw Cody standing there looking very good and holding the roses Vicky told me about.

“For you.” He reached them out to me.

“Thank you, but you didn’t have to come all the way out here just to give me this,” I smiled.

“I don’t mind. I needed to talk to you about something anyway. Do you have about ten minutes?” He got up off of the brick wall, hitting me with the smell of his cologne.

  “Yeah, sure. Is Switch okay?”

“Yeah, he’s as good as we all can be, considering the current situation. But can we talk in my car?” I nodded, so we both walked over towards his Mercedes truck. He opened the door for me, and once I was inside, he closed it back and went to his side. “My sister’s friend, Anette, claims the party was at your little boyfriend’s home.”

“What boyfriend?” I was single as hell, but the only man he could be talking about was Qamar. I didn’t see how that was even possible really.

“Qamar, the nigga I had to beat up for getting in yo’ damn face a little bit ago,” Cody reminded me.

The fight was pretty even, but I’d let Cody have that since he didn’t get beat up entirely.

“Why would Nadine be at Qamar’s home?”

My heart beat out of my chest, hoping like hell he hadn’t been fucking her, or even worse, put her in the situation she was in. I knew when Qamar was on his rampage, he was capable of anything, but I was praying to the high heavens he hadn’t gone as far as to almost taking a young girl’s life; especially sweet Nadine.

“He was having some kind of party. I still don’t know what happened to my baby sister, but knowing that he was the one throwing the party got me to thinking.” He paused. “I hated that she hung with Anette’s fast ass.”

“Thinking what? Qamar wouldn’t touch her!” I was trying to convince myself more so than Cody.

“I ain’t say he would, Bia. I don’t know who fucked with her, but I do know whatever nigga it was, is gon’ pay. But I also know Qamar’s parties be a little wild, with drugs and shit everywhere. That nigga’s turn ups be filled with sketchy muthafuckas, so it’s no telling what happened to her.”

Cody bit down on his lip as he stared straight ahead like he was trying to keep from crying. Taya got on my last nerves, but I couldn’t imagine her being on the brink of death. I probably wouldn’t be able to function.

“I can ask him and see if he knows or saw anything.”

“Yeah, can you do that? Don’t mention me, because his hating ass might not give up any information.”

“Where will I tell him I heard this from then?”

“You’ve met Anette, she’s a senior, and Taya is a junior at the same school, so it’s possible. Just say she mentioned it.”

I nodded in agreement. I wanted to know the truth, but then again, I didn’t. It seemed like Qamar only got worse and worse no matter what. I wa
s starting to feel like a naive fool for continuing to even entertain him. I was so stuck on what I assumed he could be like, and maybe that wasn’t too smart.

I chatted with Cody for a little bit, just trying to cheer him up some. He told me a little about himself and his upbringing, and I realized we had some things in common. Switch had told me he and his wife split amicably, but Cody said his mom just up and left one day without so much as a warning, taking Nadine with her because she felt girls were easier to raise. She sounded a lot like my father. Only if he’d taken Taya and given her a good life, I would have been a little happier about the situation.

Cody and I went our separate ways after exchanging numbers, and then I went straight home after texting Qamar, with a lot on my mind.

When I walked into the house, Taya was on the couch sobbing softly. I wasn’t talking to her, but because I would always have a soft spot for my baby sister, I went to sit next to her.

  “What’s wrong, Taya?”

“You wouldn’t understand. You’ve never been in love,” she sniffled, glazed eyes staring right through the TV.

  “Why don’t you try me?”

She didn’t say anything for a little bit, but then finally she looked my way and wiped her cheeks with the back of her right hand.

  “I’m pregnant.”

“What? Taya, what the fuck do you mean you’re pregnant? By who?”

“Ashton, or Flow as you know him,” she replied. “See, I knew you’d be like this!”

“Stop yelling before Mama wakes up.” I inhaled and exhaled slowly. “Taya, why did you do this? And let me guess, he told you to get rid of it. Or worse, to keep it and you guys would be a family.”

“Neither, he just broke up with me.”

“You wait until I see his ass!” I shot up off the couch. I didn’t know when or how I’d get in his presence, but when I did, it was on.

“No, Bia, please! That’s only going to make things worse! If you want to help me, help me get him to see that we can raise the baby together and be happy.”

“Taya, you are sixteen! You don’t have a high school diploma, and you wanna be a family with some pedophile?”

“And you wanna be with a man who hits you, does drugs, and tried to rape you! I don’t see how my situation is any worse!”

I wanted to be angry with her, choke her smart-mouthed ass, but she was right in a sense. I was supposed to be setting an example for her, and at the moment, I wasn’t. I had some nerve trying to judge her, when I was trying to see the good in a man who clearly wanted to be bad. When Qamar came over tonight, he and I would have a lot to discuss, even though at the moment, I felt like cancelling on him.

Kneeling down in front of her on the couch, I spoke lowly. “You’re right, baby. But I don’t want you to be like me. That’s why I’m doing all of this now. I’m doing this because I want you to have a better life than the one I’m leading now.”

“So if you wouldn’t want me with a man like Qamar, then why are you?”

  I shrugged.

“I’m not really sure, and we’re not quite together yet. But I’ll make you a promise; if he does anything else, I will never talk to him again, okay?”

I hated that me dating one of her favorite rappers had ruined things for her. She used to love Qamar, Ricky AK, MG, and Automatic. Now she couldn’t stand Qamar, and I felt like it was partially my fault.

“Okay, deal.” She half smiled. “But will you help me and Flow get back together then?”

  “No, Taya—”

“Then promise me you won’t say anything to him about this until I figure out what I’m gonna do.”

I looked up into her eyes for a few moments and then said, “Okay.”

We hugged tightly and then she kissed my cheek, before I went to take a shower. I forgot to wash my hair while in there because I was so deep in thought and on automatic. When I got out, I put some body butter on, then my nightshirt, before making Taya and I some tea. By the time we finished it, Qamar was ringing the doorbell.

“What’s good?” Qamar walked in looking handsome as usual. “Taya.” He nodded.

“Goodnight, Bia.” She got up and left the living room, so Qamar shrugged.

“Qamar, if you want us to be better, you need to try and build a relationship with my little sister. She has good reason not to like you.”

  “Whatever.”

I exhaled out of frustration as the both of us walked to my bedroom. When he tried to hug on me, I nudged him off because I was annoyed by his nonchalant attitude. I hated that he thought because he had a mental illness, that the shit he did while sick should get a pass. It would be different if he didn’t remember the things he did, but he was well aware of his mistakes once medicated.

“I’m serious about my sister, Qamar.”

“Aight.” He plopped down onto my bed and removed his slides. We both laid back after I cut the lamp off, and within seconds, he was trying to fuck.

“Qamar, move!” I shoved him off. “You are not about to get some pussy.”

  “Why?”

“Qamar, I need to ask you something. Was there a girl named Nadine at one of your parties?”

  “Nope.”

“Are you sure? Because Taya goes to school with her best friend and she said it was your party that Nadine got assaulted at.”

“Well, she don’t know what the fuck she’s talking about. I told yo’ ass wasn’t no bitch named Nadine at my party, so drop it.” He sat up.

“I’m not dropping shit until I’m ready! Where the hell would Nadine’s best friend get some information like that if it weren’t true? It’s not like your parties are open invites and shit.” I sat up as well.

“Look, I don’t fucking know, aight! Do you ever just fucking chill or do you always run yo’ damn mouth?”

“Qamar, it was just a question—”

“And I said to shut the fuck up about it!” he roared so damn loudly that I jumped.

“Bia!” Taya came bursting into my room with a worried look. I hated for her to feel the way that she did, but I couldn’t blame her.

  “It’s fine, Taya.”

“Ain’t nobody gon’ hurt yo’ damn sister, so you can get the fuck out.”

“Qamar! Stop it!” I frowned, and when I looked at Taya, she just shook her head sadly and exited. “Did you take your medicine today?”

  “Why!”

“Stop yelling! Excuse me if I wanna ask that after you came over here and hit me while trying to rape me!”

“Shut up with that shit, Bia. It happened and now it’s over. I took my medicine, aight? Is that what you wanna hear?” He glared at me.

Disappointed as hell, I just fell back onto my bed, letting my head hit the pillow. I stared up at the ceiling, and eventually, Qamar laid down next to me.

“I’m sorry for talking to Taya like that. She just didn’t need to be running in here like she was afraid I was gon’ do something.”

“Why shouldn’t she be? You have before.”

Qamar climbed on top of me, and kissed my lips. He rubbed his hand down my thighs, and then under my nightshirt.

  “I apologize for that. Really.”

“Qamar, I’m honestly not in the mood to fuck you, and I don’t know when I will be.”

He fell to the side of me, so I turned my back to him. Getting close behind me, he slipped his hand down into my underwear, and then began to strum my clit. I closed my eyes, imagining that he was someone else so I could actually get my orgasm. I was off Qamar at the moment, so thinking of him touching me would make me dry up.

Once Larenz Tate entered my mind, Qamar’s fingers started to feel even better. I placed my hand on top of his, and grinded my hips against it, moaning softly.

“Damn you wet.” Qamar kissed on my shoulder gently.

“Shut up, shut up,” I whispered, not wanting his voice to ruin this image for me. “Mmm, fuck,” I whined, winding my hips more, and Qamar strummed faster and faster until I came all over hi
s fingers. “Oh shit,” I panted, pulling Qamar’s hand from my boy shorts.

“That shit was sexy.” Qamar continued to kiss on my neck. “I don’t think I’ve ever made you cum like that with my fingers.”

“You didn’t. I was thinking about Larenz Tate.”

It was complete silence before he said, “Wow, you ain’t shit.”

  Chapter Eight: Draylah

I watched Ricky turn the fireplace on in the bedroom, and then make his way back to the bed. Climbing in, he lowered his head to plant kisses on my stomach. I had a bulge now that wasn’t too big, but it was a little something, and boy was I proud. The last time I experienced this was when I was pregnant with Lily, and even though the circumstances weren’t as great, it was a good feeling. However, what happened to my life after birthing Lily still haunted me, and I just prayed that once I had this baby, there wouldn’t be a repeat.

“I know you wanted a boy, but …”

We found out the sex earlier, and it was a little girl in there, … just like last time. A part of me wanted a boy too, sort of feeling like a baby girl was a bad sign. I knew Ricky was hoping for a son, but when we found out, he didn’t seem to be bothered like I assumed he’d be. In fact, if I wasn’t mistaken, I’d say he was excited as hell for a daughter.

“I told you I’m happy as fuck about it,” Ricky replied, getting in between my legs. “I already told you that I love you more than anything. And whatever we make together is gon’ make me happy as hell.” He looked down into my eyes before kissing my neck gently. Hugging my body tightly, he nuzzled his face into my neck and said, “I just want this. You. All of it.”

  “You better.”

“You see you had me pouring a damn pitcher of water on the damn waiter in Hawaii and shit.”

“You were jealous.” I chuckled subtly.

“Yeah,” he replied lowly. “I know you mine though. It’s just how I am, but only about you. I don’t like niggas in yo’ face. They can look, which I don’t mind because you’re pretty as fuck and hard not to look at, but once they start trying to touch or talk to you, I gotta end that shit.”
