Bearly Falling Page 6

by Ally Summers

“Fuck me,” I begged. “Please, Boone. Take me.” I didn’t want another second to go by without him inside me.

He let out a deafening roar as he sank fully inside me and my body became his with that first claiming thrust. The rest of the world fell away. I saw flames. White pain turned to pleasure and the cries turned to moans as he rode me harder and faster.

  Fifteen

  Boone

Damn. She was perfect. Her velvet walls were tight and hot. Her sweet slice of heaven was meant only for me. As I thrust into Gabi again, I knew there was only one thing my bear wanted. And that was to fill her with my cubs.

I grunted, slamming my cock deep inside her. She glowed. Her skin was flush with the warmth of sex. Her eyes glistened and her lips were bright red. I leaned forward, taking her mouth with a wild kiss as my cock inched slightly farther, hitting a new angle.

“You’re mine,” I rasped, knowing I could fuck her all night. She’d always be mine. Always. “You’re my mate.”

My balls slapped at her clit, I was so deep. Her ass was a work of art. Round and ripe. Her hips were meant to bare my cubs. And I’d never seen tits like hers. I thrust again, making her mine. I wanted her to remember this night. To remember the night she became the McScott alpha’s mate. The night we shared my bed like there was no tomorrow.

Her legs began to shake. “Oh Boone, I’m going to come.”

“Yes.” I gnashed my teeth. “I want to feel it, baby.”

“Oh God. It’s so intense.” She closed her eyes, but I leaned forward turning her chin toward me.

“Look at me,” I commanded. I could already feel her losing control. Her walls clenched my cock like a vise, but I wanted to see the pleasure in my mate’s eyes. I wanted to see the flames flicker when we came together.

Her eyes opened, locking on my gaze. “That’s it, baby. Don’t take your eyes off me. Watch me come inside you. Fuck. You’re sexy like this.”

I plunged inside her, knowing in only a few strokes I’d be lost too. And then it happened. My body tightened as my release erupted in massive waves. My jaw clenched and my back spasmed with my force. We called each other’s names as our bodies melted into the one another. I coated her walls with my seed. I wanted my essence to root deep and give us a cub. It had to.

Gabi quivered in my arms, sucking my seed to her core.

As our breath steadied, I pulled her into my arms and lowered us to the bed.

  “Oh my God,” she sighed.

My cock pulsed inside her with steady aftershocks.

I kissed her temple. “You were incredible.”

Her body was damp with perspiration. Warm and covered in my scent.

“I’ve never had sex like that,” she whispered.

With the last tremor, I pulled myself out of her heated heaven, and rotated her to face me.

“That wasn’t sex.” I grinned. “That was mating.”

She bit her lip. “Is it always like that?” she asked. “That intense?”

  I nodded. “Yes.”

She shivered. “And it’s not a dream? This was all real?” She tucked her arms against my chest.

“You’re mine, baby. It’s completely real. Forever.”

I cupped her ass, gripping her flesh in my palm. She moaned.

“Oh no. The baby monitor!” Her eyes flashed with panic.

“Hey, don’t worry. It’s in my back pocket. It was on the whole time. She never made a peep. I would have heard her. Don’t move,” I instructed. I leaned over the side of the bed and pulled the parent unit from my jean’s pocket and placed it on the nightstand. “See? Sleeping like a little cub.”

“Do you think she heard us?” Gabi asked.

“No. She’s downstairs. All the doors are closed.”

Gabi bit her bottom lip. “In that case, I just want to make sure of something.”

“What’s that?” I teased. I already knew what she wanted. Her perfect tits were hard and I could smell her honey. My mate needed to be loved again.

“I want to make sure I’m yours.” She blushed. “In every way.”

I growled. My bear had never been happier. We wouldn’t leave this bed until she was carrying my cubs and we both knew it.

“Oh you’re mine. But I’m happy to show you what else this bear can do.”

She giggled as I pulled her under the covers and loved her for the rest of the night.

  Gabi

I stretched my arms overhead and turned on my side. My eyes opened, remembering where I was. I was in Boone’s bed. The master suite at the McScott compound.

The covers next to me were flat. I sat forward, looking around the room for some sign of the man who was now my mate.

  “Boone?” I called.

I pulled the sheet free and wrapped it around my naked body. I padded off to the bathroom. I opened the door to a wave of steam. I laughed when I heard Boone singing in the shower.

  He turned quickly. “Good morning.”

I dropped the sheet. “Good morning.”

  “Get in here,” he growled.

The glass door opened and I stepped inside, first enveloped by the steam and then his hard body.

“You must be a morning person,” I whispered, commenting on how hard and ready he was. His cock pressed into my hip.

“I’m a bear. Do you think I’m a morning person?”

  I giggled. “I guess not.”

His mouth covered mine in a long kiss. His tongue flicked along mine. He grabbed my leg, hiking it against his waist.

“Ohh,” I moaned as he lifted me and pressed my back into the marble wall. He didn’t hesitate. His cock pushed inside me and I cried out at the pain. After last night, I wasn’t sure if my body would ever feel the same again. It was sore in far reaching places. Beautiful untouched places. At least they had been, until I gave my body to Boone.

  He rocked forward, sinking deeper.

“Oh shit,” I hissed. I dug my nails into his shoulders.

“I love fucking you,” he growled as the rhythm quickly intensified.

I could only nod and pant as the climax started to spiral out of control. I searched for air, but I was too gone. I seized with pleasure as he thrust lightning daggers of ecstasy inside me.

“Oh Boone, please, please,” I begged. My legs had turned to jelly and I was going to come hard.

He lifted my other leg, holding me tight to his waist as he slammed into me with a rough grunt. My orgasm splintered through my core as I quivered in his hold.

He kissed me as his own release quickened. He shoved my knees wide, searing his cock in my walls as his hot essence spilled in powerful surges. He dropped his head to my shoulder, kissing my collar bone.

“For that, I’m willing to become a morning person,” he joked.

  I giggled. “I think I would too.”

He held me for a few more seconds before lowering my feet to the floor. “Today’s your first day as the she-alpha. It’s a big deal around here. But I was thinking—”

  “She-what?” I blinked.

“The she-alpha of the clan. You’re my mate, baby. It’s pretty simple. You belong to the alpha, and that makes you the she-alpha.”

I shook my head. “What are you saying exactly? I have a job or something? I thought this was just between us.”

He cupped my breasts, gazing at them as if he was ready to devour me again. The water splashed on my skin. “This part is between us, but the clan needs to meet you. They’ve been waiting for you, as long as I have.”

I wasn’t ready to share my new relationship, especially with a group of strangers. I didn’t want to think about anything other than this moment. How my body had found its soulmate. How Boone looked at me. How I’d never felt such happiness and contentment in my life.

Boone tilted his head toward the shower door.

“What is it?” I asked. I saw a worried look on his face.

“Little cub is awake,” he reported.

“Oh shit.” I panicked, trying to rinse the soap from my body.

Boone laughed and handed a towel to me as soon as I turned off the water. “She’s ok. But she is looking for you.”

I rushed over to the monitor and watched the small video screen. She wasn’t in distress, just calling my name.

I threw on a pair of leggings and a fitted shirt that skimmed the bottom of my thighs. I didn’t have time to dry my hair as I rushed down the stairs. Boone wasn’t far behind me.

I opened the guestroom door. “Good morning.” I smiled. “How did you sleep?”

Willa climbed into my lap. She smelled like sweet shampoo and little traces of grape jelly. I guessed I hadn’t gotten all of it out of her hair in the bath last night.

“Are you hungry?” I asked. “I bet I could talk Boone into making us some breakfast.” She nodded and we walked to the kitchen together.

I should have known grilled cheese wasn’t his only skill in the kitchen. He was mixing batter in a large bowl.

  “Do you like pancakes?”

“Who doesn’t like pancakes?” I teased. I helped Willa on the stool and walked around the counter. I was on my way to pour a glass of milk for her when he scooped me in his arms and dipped me toward the floor for a kiss.

I squealed, but his mouth covered mine, quieting my protest. I wrapped my hands around his neck. His tongue twirled in delicious circles and I whimpered wanting more when he broke away for air.

I stared at him in disbelief. He waggled his eyebrows and I walked to the refrigerator.

“I guess we need to make plans for the day,” I stated. “I have final festival meetings.”

  I handed Willa her milk.

“I can’t work from home two days in a row.” He looked at Willa. “Maybe she could hang out with Charlene at the front office.”

“What if the sheriff left her picture or asked someone about a missing child?” I asked.

Boone shook his head. “You heard what he said. This is a clan problem. He wouldn’t ask my employees. I only hire humans, other than my brother.”

“And why is that?” I felt a slight toward my own kind.

“It keeps things simple. Trust me. They come to work and work. If I had shifters there would be clan politics and favors needed. It’s messy and complicated dealing with that crap. Clan business is separate this way.”

“Oh.” I started to make a pot of coffee. I wasn’t used to being awake this early. The sun still wasn’t up. I was going to need a few cups to feel alert.

“What about you? Can you work from here?” he asked.

He poured the batter onto a hot griddle.

With everything that had happened in the past twenty-four hours, it was easy to forget that I was in Twilight Hollow for any reason other than having epic orgasmic sex that lasted all night into the morning.

“I only have one day until the festival. I don’t know how I’m supposed to do that.”

I looked at Willa. How was I going to leave her again, though? She seemed to be more comfortable around Boone now that he had shaved, but I knew she wanted to be with me.

The coffee pot churned and sputtered. I looked through the cabinets for a couple of mugs.

“The she-alpha can do what she wants.” He flipped a pancake over.

I poured two mugs full. “I have no idea what that means.” I placed Boone’s coffee next to the griddle. “I’m not going to quit my job the day before the festival, and I’m not going to leave everyone hanging like that.”

Boone exhaled. “The clan can help you. What do you need to get done today so you can work from here and be with Willa?”

I stared at him. “Are you serious?”

He nodded. “Just tell me. I’ll make it happen.”

“I guess I could make a list.” I twisted my lips together. I thought of all the small stops I needed to make today. The vendor nametags needed to be picked up. The banners had to be taken to the crew’s garage to be hung. The evening band needed their check.

“Get it to me and everything on there will be done.”

  He kissed my cheek. “Pancakes?”

I grinned. “Ok. Maybe a few.”

He whispered, “Our cubs need your strength, so eat up.”

My eyes flashed to his. “Boone.”

“What?” He flipped a second set.

  “Don’t joke like that.”

He reached low behind the counter so Willa couldn’t see, but his hand squeezed my ass. “It’s not a joke.”

I turned to face him. “I—you never said you wanted children.”

He looked over at Willa and then dragged me into the laundry room. He cracked the door so he could see her.

“Of course I want cubs.” His eyes locked on mine.

“You want me to be pregnant?” I whispered. I didn’t know if I was in shock or filled with such happiness that I wanted to cry. “Already?”

He nodded. His hand cupped my stomach. “Last night I made you mine. But these cubs bind us together for the rest of our lives, Gabi.”

I tried to swallow my tears, but they came pouring out anyway. I flung my arms around his neck, kissing him through salty tears.

He growled. “I want you right now.”

  “I know.” I sighed. “But we can’t.”

He peeked through the crack in the doorway. “She’s a great kid, isn’t she?”

“What are we going to do? We’re not her parents. Can’t we find her mother at least? Can’t we help her leave Twilight Hollow?”

Boone looked at me. “That’s exactly what we’re going to do.”

  Boone

I didn’t like getting mixed up in other clan’s problems. And I didn’t want to start a shifter war, but my she-alpha wanted to reunite Willa with her mother, and that’s what I was going to do. I left them at the house and drove to the office. The barn was as busy as a beehive.

Charlene greeted me at the front desk. “Boss, it’s supposed to frost tonight. Hank is setting up the fire barrels.”

“Good,” I grumbled, barging past her and heading toward my desk. She raced after me.

“And we sold all the hayride tickets,” she announced.

“Got it.” I opened and slammed my desk drawers.

“What in God’s name are you looking for in there?” Charlene hovered nearby.

“I have an old savings account in here somewhere. I can’t find the checkbook.”

“Did you check your filing cabinet?” she asked.

I groaned, twisting to my side. I kept it locked. I found the keys and unlocked the top drawer. There it was. Right on top.

“Thanks.” I held it up. “Just what I needed.” I stormed past her. She was on my heels again. “I need some tickets,” I explained.

Charlene walked over to her desk. “I don’t have hayride tickets.”

“Give me whatever you have. Apple picking. Hay dance. General festival. Whatever.”

She flipped through a binder labeled ‘festival’ and handed me a short stack. “There’s a little bit of what I have left.”

“Great.” I turned for the door.

“Wait. Where are you going? You can’t leave. They’re setting up the main barn for the hay dance. I’m afraid they’re going to put the dance floor in the wrong place like they did last year. And it was a nightmare to fix.”

“Holden is here. Call him. I’m not going to be gone long.” I tucked the checkbook in the front pocket of my flannel shirt along with the tickets and hopped behind the wheel of my truck.

I made a stop at the Twilight Trust and Security Bank. I walked out with a secure envelope of twenty-thousand dollars in cash.

I didn’t know Axel McMasters well. And I couldn’t remember ever meeting his wife. But if there was one thing I had learned in the past two days, it was that the bond between a mother and her cub was strong. Gabi was already bonding with Willa. I could only imagine what her mother was going through not knowing if she was safe.

&nb
sp; Things had to be bad for her to risk everything the way she did. I just had to hope she would go along with the plan I had.

Once I was twenty minutes on the other side of Twilight Hollow, I pulled down the long windy drive to the McMasters compound. I had once sold a tractor to Axel when I bought a new fleet for the orchard.

The road was covered in divots. There were chickens roaming the dirt road. I stopped every few feet to let them cross in front of the truck. I hoped like hell Axel was at the garage today. I didn’t know if the tickets in my pocket were going to be the best cover story for dropping by so far away from my territory, but it was the only excuse I had.

I parked in front of the house, locked the truck, and walked up the stairs. I knocked on the door of the white clapboard house.

I listened for sounds on the inside. Someone was home.

I pounded on the doorframe again. “Hello, it’s Boone McScott.”

There were quiet footsteps and then the door opened. The young woman in front of me had the same brown eyes as Willa. I knew I had the right mama bear.

  “Hi.” I cleared my throat.

“Hi.” She looked scared to death.

  “Is Axel here?” I asked.

She shook her head. “He’s at work.”

  “Can I come in then?”

She shrank back, almost closing the door in my face. “No.”

I put my hands up in defense. “Ok. Ok. I just need to talk to you, actually. I wanted to make sure he wasn’t here.”

“You should go.” She tried to close the door completely, but I shoved my boot in the doorway.

She let out a defiant growl.

“I have your daughter,” I blurted.

Suddenly, her eyes clouded with tears. “How do you know about her?”

“You left her on my orchard. She’s fine. I’ve kept her safe. But I’m here because I want to give you a way out of this situation. I know she’s a gypsy cub.”

“I-I can’t talk about this. Keep her. Ok? Just keep her safe for me.”
