Through Kelsey's eyes and words, Seadale finally glimpsed how insane the whole situation between he and Sindale was.

Resting up on his elbows placed on either side of her head, he looked down into the face of his saving grace, his angel, he could feel the dangling shreds of the past, starting to drop off, letting the edge smooth and heal. Through her eyes it all seemed so petty now. What a waste of years. There was still time to mend their rift, and with Kelsey by his side, he would learn a lot from her wisdom and caring heart.

His eyes misted over as he spoke from his heart, “For you my queen, the one that holds my heart, I would go into the mouth of hell, turn back the hands of time. You complete me. You make me want to be a better god, a better man. I don't want to go on without you in my life.” Seadale stroked stray hairs away from her face. “Yes, I have been blind, turning my back on my brother. I see that now. Tell me you will stay with me forever. Love me through all eternity. I will make you immortal and I hope that is okay with you? Oh, Fates tell me..."

She put a finger against his lips, stopping his words. “I would rather show you how much I want you and love you. Immortality with you sounds great to me” Kelsey wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his face down to hers. She kissed him with every fiber of her being. Lavishing his lips with her tongue, sucking his lower lip into her mouth, delighting in the groan that slipped from between his lips.

Seadale let her love him. Giving her free rein over his body and heart. He would never grow tired of feeling her pressed up against him, her lush body molding perfectly to his, melding as one. They were completely in tune to the other's wants and desires. They were complete with each other.

His hand glided in between their bodies, to brush along the sensitive folds of her sex. Applying a light pressure so that her lips split open like a ripe peach. A thick finger slid into her tight heat, curling and raking along her fluttering and ruffled interior. Everything else faded to the background, leaving behind only room for the pleasure that was to come. Making all her senses draw to a pinpoint every place he touched and kissed. Loving her slowly. Building up their passion to a scorching inferno. Letting the fires of their love blaze a new beginning for them.

Tomorrow was another day, but for right now, Seadale would die a little death within the curves of her body and always love her unendingly...

  Chapter Nine

The afternoon sun lavished the calm shuffling waves of the sea as it lapped at the shore, like a lover's greedy tongue, taking and giving with each pull and push of its wake along the shoreline.

Two mirror images stood facing each other. Their eyes were the only thing that differentiated them—reflecting both of their uncertainness, regarding each other with unwavering intent.

What seemed like miles were only a few yards that separated the two brothers. Neither would break eye contact, neither one trusting the other with each passing footstep. Together with their mates by their sides, they advanced closer, and closer still.

The evidence of emotional uncertainty solidly inscribed upon the two brothers’ faces. No more than a foot separated them, ankle deep in the caressing thrall of the subtle ocean current, water lapping at their ankles.

Without thought and in identical motion, the brothers looked down as if there was a clearly defined line of demarcation separating them, keeping them apart. And, there was. All it would take was for one of them to pull the other over the line-of-power taking him out of his elemental zone of magic, and then destroying him. This was a true test of faith and courage on both the brother's behalves.

Seadale spoke first in a cool unfettered voice. “Long time no see ... Sin."

"Well, all you would've had to do is look into a mirror for that reminder.” A sly bit of humor floated through Sindale's reply.

Seadale couldn't help but crack a smile at his brother's pinched humor.

He looked down at Kelsey, their hands grasped in a loving grip. Her tightly held smile and wordless plea moved his soul. The hopefulness reflected on her face, filled his chest with a level of contentment and pleasure he'd never experienced. The Amulet to Ametheysea glimmered and twinkled around Kelsey's neck, reminding him of his father's gift and love for him. He realized that now. It was time for him to step it up and be the man, the god, his father had wanted him to be. Everything rode on this moment.

Seadale slowly extended his hand in faith toward his brother. It was all he could do not to let the fear in his heart leak out and course down his hand in a tremble. In one heart-stopping moment his life could be over, he had made the first move. Now it was Sindale's turn. What would he do? Would he accept Seadale's gesture of peace or would he be his unwitting demise? He held his breath, waiting for Sindale's next move, whatever that might be. His life and that of his mate was literally within his brother's hands.

What Sindale did next caused the women to grasp loudly. He grasped his brother's outstretched hand, pulling him out and over the line-of-power into his magical sphere—his domain of power. It was all over in just a second, but he hugged Seadale tightly to him, giving his a bear hug that caused the air to leave his lungs.

The women let out deep sighs of relief, for a second there they thought the worst. Both Kelsey and Shana stepped away from their mates giving them room and space. Two big, proud men stood held in each other's arms, whispering words of forgiveness and unburdening their hearts and souls to the other. Shana and Kelsey watched the emotional reunion with teary eyes. Happy to have finally gotten through to the men they loved.

With a loving smile spreading across her face, Shana winked at Kelsey, mouthing, “Thank you."

Kelsey nodded in reply, wiping tears of happiness away at the same time.

The brothers broke apart, both clearing their throats, still holding tightly to their emotions, not wanting their outward emotions to seem unmanly, ungod-like.

Kelsey looked at all three. “Does this mean we can come for dinner now?"

They all broke out in bubbling laughter. The men reached for their mates, hugging them, whispering words of love in their ears.

Sin pulled back, leaving one arm draped around Shana's waist. He looked down at her. “That is an excellent idea. My brother and I have a lot of catching up to do. Can I tell someone now?” Sin waited for a nod of okay from Shana.

"Impatient as ever big guy. Go ahead.” Shana chuckled, shaking her head at her mate's child-like eagerness.

Sin drew Shana closer to him, then with loving care touched her stomach, caressing it with the flat of his palm, in a gentle clockwise movement. “You two are the first to know, Shana and I are expecting our first child, well, twins actually."

Seadale's face slipped easily into a large dazzling smile. He slapped his brother on the back in congratulations, and then put his arm around his shoulders as they walked side by side out of the water. Their women followed close behind chattering away like a pair of magpies.

The wind picked up, carrying within its gusty tributary a father's sigh of relief. All was finally balanced by the unfailing love of the two precious women that held and cared for the hearts of his sons. His fondest wish had finally come true. The brothers stopped and looked up—it was as if they could sense the presence of their father smiling down upon them—just smiling for a moment then continued walking toward their new future together as loving reflections of the other.

  Epilogue

One and a half years later

In the crystal kingdom of Ametheysea

"Whoa you two, settle down in there.” Looking down, Kelsey teasingly scolded her twins. “You girls have been at it all morning, why don't you give mommy a rest. She needs to get this painting done.” She lovingly stroked circles around her very distend belly.

Picking her brush and paint pallet back up, Kelsey went back to putting the finishing touches on the latest fantasy series she was working on for Seth and Tom's gallery. Her artwork was so popular, she couldn't keep up with the demand.
All of her paintings had been selling out the moment they were hung in the gallery. Though she could no longer go into the Earth realm, her paintings could be magically transported to the post office and from there be shipped to the gallery. Seth and Tom agreed, though grudgingly, that the artist would never be available nor could anyone but the two owners ever talk to her. Aren't cell phones grand? All the profit from her paintings was donated directly to the conservation and research in saving the wildlife of the ocean. What good was money anyway if it couldn't help the one place she now called home—the sea.

The only foreseeable problem would be her immortality. She would in the future, need to change up her painting style and her name, but for now her magical abilities were slowly developing and the thought of forever being loved by Seadale and their children made everything else trivial in comparison.

Kelsey's eyes panned around the art studio Seadale had created just for her. There were extra large portals that helped in creating realistic backdrops for her mermaid and merman fantasy series for which she was now so well known. She, like the other citizens of Ametheysea, liked the furnishing of her old life, so her studio was filled with pink, yellow and light green floral print curtains and matching solid colored tufted furniture. A lovely primitive side table accommodated all her painting supplies. Muted pastel colored area rugs accented the floors, giving it a finishing touch.

This was now her favorite place to work and relax in. Well, that was until Seadale would come and get her, sweeping her off her feet and back to their bedroom. He was an insatiable lover, with a fierce sexual appetite. Sometimes making love to her two and three times a day, though in her advancing stage of pregnancy they are down to once a day. Kelsey would never tire of his hands roaming her body, creating fire in her blood, while his mouth and tongue wrecked havoc leaving slippery paths up and down her writhing body.

The spell their father had put on the kingdoms of Ametheysea that would revoke either of their powers should they attempt to enter the other's realm, had been broken the moment the brothers let go of the hurtful ghosts that haunted them for centuries and forgave each other. They could now go freely between the kingdoms without restraint. She and Shana were closer than ever and the brothers were pretty much inseparable.

Sindale and Shana's twin boys were the spitting image of their father. What a nervous wreck he'd been when Shana had gone into labor. He had popped in on them while they were having a cozy dinner for two. Sindale could hardly get the words out that his wife had gone into labor and she was screaming terrible things at him. What did he expect? It hurt for heaven's sake. Let him try pushing out a watermelon through his butt. Kelsey had never seen the big guy so flustered. Sindale was so rattled, he'd not noticed that she and Seadale were in the middle of a romantic dinner. He scrubbed his face with a shaky hand, while he described in detail what was happening to his wife. That pretty much took the edge off both her and Seadale's appetites for the evening. If Sindale acted like that, what would Seadale be like when the girls decided to make their appearance in the world? Holy Fates! That experience was just around the corner, she'd better start reassuring Seadale now that whatever she said while in labor, she really wouldn't mean. And, every moment of pain was worth the joy their children would bring into their lives.

Once again, Kelsey rubbed her growing belly talking quietly to the twins, while she looked around the crystal palace that was now her home. “The best day of my life was when I found the Amulet To Ametheysea or should I say, the day it found me?"
