Sealing Death Page 11

by Basil E. Bacorn

Helen spoke up. "What do you mean, not good?" she squeaked, "Everything here is perfect!" Braddock huffed. Henry looked out the hole too. "Maybe they are taking us to our jobs?" he whimpered hopefully. "How do they keep everything, everyone even, so perfect?" Braddock mumbled loud enough for the others to hear, "They throw out those who aren't!"

Everyone fell around as the truck went over a bump. "You're right!" Dave yipped, "We're doomed!"

Cassie had turned in her test and was waiting for the results. "Cassandra Smith," the bot began, "You have gotten 100% of the questions WRONG!"

Stella waited impatiently for her grade. Suddenly the bot buzzed, "Congratulations! You have passed the test! You are ready to move on to part two of your determination! Please stand up." Stella obeyed and stood. The bot's eyes shone brightly and it scanned her, up and down, rambling a list of numbers. Then it popped out a few letters. "That's strange!" it beeped, "Scan returned low levels of heat in the heart and cerebral cord. I should rescan."

"No need!" Stella insisted, feeling invaded, "I have ice powers. See!" She freezes the table top and the robot went crazy. "Not allowed! Not perfect! Not perfect!" it clanked, "Sending data. Determining fate!"

"Charles Myers." the Idyll bot began, "You have failed the test. You will be disposed of immediately!"

"William Rindenton," his bot whirled, "You passed the test, just like I knew you would!" Will smiled and the bot scanned him. "My name is Tia, and you are registering H-O-T with me!" it flirted, "We should get together sometime. I'm the upgraded version of the Idyll bot. I have the love application."

Will smirked. He was flattered and all, but he was taken. And he doesn't date robots. When Tia scanned him again, he wondered WHAT that scanner was scanning anyway. He crossed his arms uncomfortably.

Vander and Vanessa crawled to the door, but were stopped by the nanny bot. "Where are you two going?" the bot snipped, "You need to watch the movie!" Vander grabbed Vanessa’s hand and blasted the bot away. Then they blasted the door down and flew down the hall, smashing through the wall and out of the building.

The truck stopped outside of a shed. The door flew open and giant robots yanked the adults out, one per hand. Despite their struggles, they couldn't escape the bots' grips. Susan looked up and saw her twins flying towards them. "Get Cassie!" she yelled, "We'll be fine!" Vander and Vanessa reluctantly obeyed, and flew away, as their parents were thrown inside the shed.

"You have failed the test!" the bot explained, "But lucky for you, Mr. Yornoroak himself has given orders to proceed you anyway. Please stand up." Cassie bounced up and pushed her chair back. "Now what?" she posed. The bot said nothing, but scanned her twice over, babbling off a list of numbers, letters, and shapes. While Cassie felt like the scanner scanned more than just what she was wearing. "This isn't right!" the Idyll bot chirped, "Something went wrong! I'll have to notify Yornoroak!"

Out of nowhere, the door blasted open, smashing into the robot. "Cassie!" Vanessa yelled, "Mommy and Daddy are in big trouble!" Cassie didn't wait for them to explain, she just followed them.

As they flew through the hall, they found Stella running from a half frozen robot. "Cassie!" she called, "The bot is angry!" Cassie blasted the bot down and grabbed Stella. "Parents." Cassie yipped. Stella understood with just that word.

"Wait, Charles Myers." the bot put in, "Just received word to progress you as well. Your perfect blue eyes have saved your life. Congratulations!" Charlie sighed. His grandma had always told them his eyes would be useful, but he never thought they'd be this useful!

"Go outside." the bot ordered, "Your bot guide is waiting." Charlie opened the door and saw Mac. Then something flew by and grabbed them both. "What!" he screamed. He looked up and saw Cassie with Stella on her back, flying through the halls of the court. Cassie tossed him to the twins, as well as Mac.

Tia scanned Will again, and he had no choice but to just sit there. "Can I go now?" he asked. "Can I go with you?" Tia flirted. The bot's eyes turned from blue to red, and Will dashed out of the room, only to be swooped up by his girlfriend. The human one.

Tia hovered out to the hall and pouted as her crush flew away. "Report a breech." she droned, "Lock down, red alert!"

The adults looked around. They were on a conveyor belt that was heading down a long tunnel. At the end was a bright light. "That doesn't look like jobs!" Henry screamed. They looked down and saw their feet were strapped down and the conveyor sped up. "Since you are at your end, I figured you'd want to know what was happening." Yornoroak's voice sounded, "Thanks to my amazing technology, I have found a way to melt down imperfect humans and change them into metal to build my Idyll bots! That means ALL of my Idyll bots are 100% organic! Now you know!" The recording cut out leaving only the faint hum of the doom conveyor as the group rode to the flaming pot of all-organic metal.

"They were put in that shed!" Vanessa yelled. Cassie held out her hand and the entire building lifted up off of the ground. Cassie threw it to the side and saw a giant hole. "They must be in there!" Charlie hollered. Cassie jumped in and everyone followed.

"No!" Yornoroak yelled after hearing the news, "They are going to ruin everything!" Julius slammed his fist on his red button and shouted, "All units converge on the humanium factory! Bring me them all!"

The adults were only fifty feet away from the pot. "My brother," Dave sighed, "Yornoroak!" James was at the head of the conveyor. He watched as the path grew shorter and shorter. This was it. He came upon the very edge of the conveyor and screamed. The conveyor had stopped and his feet were free! "CASSIE!" he screamed. The group ran towards the children. Stella had frozen the track while Cassie burnt out the engine.

"Now we need to put an end to Yornoroak's corruption! " Cassie announced, "Let's bring him down!"

  Overthrow The Government

The group all climbed out of the hole and stood in the grass. "Who are these people?" Will asked. "Henry, Helen, and Dave." Susan answered, "They thought they were getting jobs, but were really getting thrown out because they were no longer perfect for Idyll."

"Never mind that!" Charlie snipped, "We need to get to Yornoroak before he sends his robots at us!" "Hey!" Mac piped up, "Remember me? I got an order that Mr. Yornoroak issued that said to converge on the humanium factory, which, I believe is where we are right now!"

"We can't get out of here that quickly!" Will reminded, "We have too many people to fly!" Just then, a flying bus landed beside them. "William!" Tia yelled, "Need a lift?" No one asked twice. Everyone piled in the ride, and Braddock took off. They flew into the air, and over an army of organic Idyll bots.

Will looked at Tia. "Thanks." he whispered, and he kissed her on the eye screen. Her eyes went back to full on pink, and her white design tinted red as well. She scanned him again, and by now, Will was used to it.

Braddock zoomed around the back of the palace and smashed through the stained glass window of Yornoroak's mother. "MOMMY!" he wailed as glass rained down on him, "You!"

Cassie hopped out of the car and the others piled out after her. "We are here to put an end to your shenanigans!" Cassie proclaimed. She got that line out of one of Charlie's comics she read. It was pathetic, but true.

Yornoroak laughed. "First, you couldn't stop me if I told you to! And second, what shenanigans?" Yornoroak smirked, "Is it a crime to make people happy? To give them hope? To give people the chance to live in a PERFECT world, where nothing goes wrong?" Julius Yornoroak paced the throne room. "Is it really that bad, that the lessers be removed to make others happy? To recycle the criminals, cowards, weaklings, and uglies into something greater?" the deranged inventor continued, "In order to keep brave, strong, beautiful, upstanding citizens joyful? To please them ALL?!"

Mr. Yornoroak slid into his throne. "How about a proposal?" he suggested, "You let this all go, leave me in power, keep my operation going, and not tell ANYONE about it, and I, in return, will let you live. You can stay or leave, doesn't matter, but if you stay, you will certainly not regret it!
You will have your dream LIFE!"

Stella spoke up, "It's a nice offer-" Cassie cut in, "but we decline. We are going to make this place a better place to live. With no corruption!" Cassie lit her hand on fire. "Now the only question is," she began, "are you going to go out nice, or not?"

"ATTACK!!!" Yornoroak yelled. From the shadows came a hundred different robots of all shapes and sizes. Robots like Tia, robots like Mac, and robots like the ones that protect Yornoroak. Everyone stuffed inside the flying car and took off. Mac had an idea.

"What are you waiting for?" Yornoroak hollered, "Follow them!" The robots stared at their creator. "Ugh!" he sighed, "If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself!" Yornoroak jumped in his flycycle and rocketed after the rebels.

The small robot flew the car back through the window and circled the castle. It flew over the residential area and to the Life Elongation Tower. Yornoroak was getting closer. He whipped out a small device and began shooting at the vehicle. One of the shots hit the rear propeller and the car swirled downwards and crashed at the bottom of the tower, by the generators.

"If we blow up the generators to the tower, it will send out an electric charge to everyone it affected, the amount of shock will vary by how long they've used it!" Mac presented, "Yornoroak has been using it for billions of years!" "So the shock should shock him enough to stop him!" Cassie cried out, "Everyone, run as far away as you can. Ten seconds!" Everyone scattered away, and Stella created an ice shield behind them. Cassie flamed the generators as hot as she could, causing them to make a buzzing noise. She twirled her hand and joined the others behind the ice shield.

The generators blew with a flash of light and electricity shot up the tower. "NOOOO!!!!" Yornoroak screeched as a shock wave shot throughout the realm. Yornoroak sparked and fizzed. His flycycle blew up and he fell to the ground, flinching wildly.

When the smoke cleared, everyone gathered around to see what happened. On the ground, laid the burnt Julius Yornoroak, still twitching. The crowd mumbled with panic. Their leader was gone! What would they do? What happens now?

Helen, Henry, and Dave were pushed to the center of attention by Cassie. She had a hunch about them. "I'm sure you all are wondering what has happened!" Dave shouted, "Julius Yornoroak was a fraud! He had been twisting us to think everything was perfect when it was far from it!" Helen stepped forward. "He had been sending those he thought were unfit for Idyll to their demise, and then claiming they left!" she yelled, "I propose a new government, starting with the trial of Julius Yornoroak!"

The crowd cheered and clapped as loud as they could. "We will go through all of the rules and weed out those we find unjust!" Henry added. "Before we continue, we'd like to thank these people for exposing Yornoroak and saving our lives!" Dave announced, gesturing to Cassie and the others. For the next hour, everyone in Idyll clapped and cheered for their TRUE saviors: Cassie, Stella, Charlie, Will, Vander, Vanessa, Susan, James, Arthur, Betty, Tia, and of course, Mac.

  The War Rages On

More S.W.A.T. teams were sent in from the Realm of the Foretold, as well as the National Guard. Everlanon was completely annihilating all of the forces America threw at them. They had evacuated the surrounding area, and were sending in tanks. If they kept at it, they both would be drained of all of their defenses!

Meanwhile, Mrs. Spencer laid unconscious in the Amy Leah Hospital. The NYPD had appointed a temporary replacement for James Smith, since he went missing, and were investigating Mrs. Spencer's attack, as well as the disappearances, even though everyone pointed their fingers at Everlanon.

King Albert had escaped the battle field and was riding his horse triumphantly through NYC's streets.

Mayor Sanders was walking down the street to his office after taking care of the attack situation. Then he saw a man riding a horse straight towards him! "William!" he yelled, not noticing the fat man he slammed into. His horse tripped and rolled, leaving both men laying on the ground. The king stood and pointed his sword at the mayor's throat.

"I am looking for my son!" he stated, "His name is Will Rindenton, also known as Will Spencer, also known as Will Braddock! His company included a girl by the name of Cassandra Smith, a boy by the name of Charlie Myers, and another one by the name of Stella Sanders!"

Mayor Sanders eyes bulged out of his head. "STELLA!" he spluttered, "Where is my daughter?!" The king frowned, "I asked first fat man! Wait, your daughter? Who are you?"

"My name is Roland Sanders, and I am the mayor of this city you are in!" he replied, "Who are you?" The king withdrew his weapon and placed his foot on the mayor's stomach, looking at the sky. "I am King Albert Rindenton of Everlanon! Where is my son?"

  "Where's my daughter?"

  "Where's my son?"

  "Where's my daughter?"

  "Where's my son?"

  "Where's my daughter?"

  "Where's my son?"

"I DON'T KNOW!!!" they both admitted angrily. "Then why are you fighting?" a passerby piped up. They both looked at each other. Mayor Sanders grabbed his walkie-talkie and ordered, "Stop sending in men! Stop sending in men!"

"Where am I?" Charlotte Spencer asked, opening her eyes. "You're in the hospital." a nurse informed, "You were attacked and knocked out in the struggle, but don't worry, you're safe now." The woman smiled at her patient. "My name is Judy." she informed, "I was told that you are to stay overnight."

Mayor Sanders and King Albert sat across from each other in the mayor's office. "Will spoke of a 'Mrs. Spencer' who had adopted him," the king began, "Would she know anything?" Mayor Sanders cringed. "She is in a coma after being attacked." he informed, "Some woman had thrown her to the ground and knocked her out. Here, I have a sketch of who did it."

King Albert swiped the picture from Mayor Sanders. "This is Evangeline! She is here?!" the king pressed. "We don't know, but we can check if Mrs. Charlotte Spencer has awoken." the mayor assured. He dialed the hospital and inquired about Mrs. Spencer.

"Charlotte Spencer just left. She has made a full recovery." the secretary answered. After telling the king, they decided to pay her a visit to see if she knew anything.

The two knocked on the door of the Spencer residence. "Hello!" she answered, "Come on in!" The king and mayor sat down in the superintendent's living room. "So how are you?" the mayor blurted. Charlotte smiled, "Perfect! Was that all you wanted?" "We kind of wanted to know if you knew anything about Will or Stella?"

"Oh! Of course!" she cheered, "They are fine! Perfectly well!"

"Really?" the king asked suspiciously, "They've been gone for days!" Charlotte's eyes got wide. "Oops!" she fluttered, "That just slipped my mind! Here's an idea! You join my husband!" The men glanced at each other.

Charlotte's arms stretched towards them and picked them up. "Poor, stupid men!" she sighed, slamming them into each other.

Judy came back in the room. "Do you need anything?" she queried. Mrs. Spencer shook her head no and smiled. This Judy was very attentive to her! She checked in every five minutes! Wait, there was something she wanted. "Judy?" she began, "Can you get my husband to come?" Judy raised her eyebrows and walked over to the bedside. She grabbed a needle, shoved it in Charlotte's arm, and whispered, "No."

After she was put under, Judy left the superintendent and walked out of the fake hospital room. She looked up and down the dark lit hallway. Judy grabbed the walkie-talkie from her side and radioed, "Charlotte Spencer has been put to sleep. Over and out!"

  The Colorless Land

The new leaders of Idyll gave their heroes a flying bus to replace the old vehicles that were taken from them. "We have decided to rename our realm!" Dave yipped into his microphone, "Here's to the new realm of Tryna!" The word was blasted throughout the realm and was welcomed with joyful excitement by everyone.

Cassie had made sure Yornoroak was properly detained, and loaded up the bus. "Good luck!" she called, "Now we need to close the doors of Death so your new realm doesn't get destroyed!" They had explained the situation to
the leaders who decided to stock pile the bus with Yornoroak's inventions.

Mac hovered up to Cassie and beeped, "Can I come with?" Cassie just opened the door to let him in. Who doesn't love a good robot sidekick? They all waved farewell as Braddock zoomed through the reality crack.

They went in and everything went dark. Sparks flew, and a strange vacuum noise blared loudly. The vehicle bounced around, Mac almost flying out the window. Everyone screamed as gunshots sounded and more sparks erupted from the sides of the bus.

Cassie felt a strange tingling sensation and the bus popped out of the dark and into the light. "What happened?" Will pressed. "What?" Cassie rasped, seeing her previously pink top now grey. She looked around. Everything was colorless! Pink, green, blue, they were all gone! It was completely black and white! "How could this happen?" she queried, "Where's all of the colors?"

Charlie grabbed a piece of shiny metal and held it up. "AHHHH!!!" he screamed. He had NO color whatsoever! His blue eyes he had always took for granted were now grey! And kind of intimidating. "Where are we?" he asked as a door opened. Cassie was running away from the car!
