“Ma chère, I wasn’t expecting you so early. Is everything okay?” She stood from her desk and kissed Jamie lightly on her lips before pulling her into an embrace.
Shivers traveled through Jamie. Even after six months, the woman she loved set her on fire every time they touched. She locked with Giselle’s gaze. “Better than okay.”
Giselle slid her hands up Jamie’s arms, “What are you so excited about? Spill it, silly girl.”
“Mitch agreed to expand to the Italian market. I can start selling in Rome,” Jamie blurted out, unable to contain her toothy smile.
“Oh, Jamie. That is the most wonderful news!” She pulled her close, Jamie inhaling her orange and jasmine perfume. “What about your clients here?”
Jamie wiggled in her arms. “That’s the best part! He’s hiring an international staff under my management...but there’s a catch.”
Giselle pulled back and narrowed her eyes. “Catch?”
Jamie shot her lover a smile. “I told him I knew Italian. Would you teach me?”
“Of course, ma chère. Or should I say cara mia? Anything for you.”
