She was fading away. Her arm was extended out to me desperately wanting me to come to her aide. She was screaming my name as she disappeared. I ran to the barrier my sensors heightened to her need.
She was more afraid than when my Captain attacked her. I broke inside the barrier too late to prevent her departure. I stood feeling a sensation unfamiliar to my circuitry. My fingers began to curl in my palms. Internal rotors whirring at a faster rate. The image of her frightened face haunted me. I was unable to save her. My emotions are heightened. I was in the mood to hurt, to kill to injure the creatures for taking her away.
I was angry.
I scanned the room finding a particle mist encircling the area going to the vent. I glanced at the bed finding the only evidence left of Mireya’s presence.
“Could this have been what they wanted?” I said as I gripped the cloth tightly. No matter. Mireya was in danger. I hurried at incredible speed to my Captain informing him of our missing precious cargo.
VON
“She has reached the beginning cycle of Tseost. Zoilan, was to perform the ritual and the female would become one with us.”
“I told you….”
“Captain,” the robot interrupted.
“What!” I snapped. The scent was in the airlock and getting heavier. If I could smell it, I’m sure the Suuwok could as well.
“We have a problem with one of the containments.”
“Robot, I need air. I can’t breathe.”
“But Captain…”
“Robot! Air now!” I demanded. I grunted exerting myself letting my natural form out of its human shell. The Suuwok began to back away, the mist entering the air lock a danger to them and a cover for the scent.
“Go back to Earth and find you another female. Bother me again, and our next meeting won’t be as pleasant.”
When they left the air lock and their ship drifted off, I was back in the hall in search of the robot.
“What just happened? What is that smell?”
“It is Miss Mireya Captain, she is in a process of menstruation.”
“She’s what?” I asked confused about her having other men in her cell she had been entertaining.
“She is bleeding Captain. It is an internal drainage she is unable to stop.”
“Why didn’t you tell me about this before?”
“I wasn’t aware of it fully until now. I intended on telling you when I collected the data from earlier but then the Suuwok hailed us to come aboard. When you asked me to check on her, I found the spillage on the sheets.” It informed me and yet the tone in its voice was not its normal stately sound. There was elevation in its speaking.
“What the…” I exhaled. “You have to get rid of it. The scent…its….too strong. I can smell it everywhere. Especially on you.” I scanned it over noticing the stains on its fingers.
“Yes Captain, I was handling…”
It began and my thoughts immediately considered Mireya being hurt.
“What about the female? Is she safe?”
It sighed roughly. “She is no longer aboard the ship.”
I gripped the robot flinging its body into the nearest wall. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE IS NO LONGER ON THE SHIP?!”
“When I went to check on her, the Suuwok were transporting her. I couldn’t get there in time to stop them.” Its tone again in a raised pitch.
I tore myself away from the robot and began to rip apart the containers in the corridor. “Find their ship, NOW!” I commanded.
