“We will?” Her brows drew down in confusion.

“Yes.” He tilted his head toward the ticket counter. “Go check in. I upgraded us both to first class so we’re sitting together all the way home. I wanted to be sure to have one more chance to talk to you.”

When Ava launched herself into his arms, he caught her easily, pressing his lips to hers, then deepening the kiss.

After a long moment, he pulled away enough to say, “So does this mean you’ll speak to me again?”

“Oh, yes,” Ava whispered against his lips. “I have a lot to say to you. Starting with … I’m pretty sure I love you.”

“That’s good,” Grant said, before once again claiming her mouth with his. “Because I’m absolutely certain I love you.”

  Acknowledgments

Since I originally wrote this book and these acknowledgments, I have lost some of the people listed here. My heart aches with the empty spots they left behind, but their love and support and belief in me echoes through my life and my work. I am forever thankful to have been part of their journeys.

Books are never created in a vacuum, and I’m always worried I’m going to forget someone in the acknowledgments! This book was written during a particularly difficult time in my life, so there are even more people than usual to thank. If you should be here and you’re not, please know you’re in my heart. But here goes: Thanks are due to Allison, for coaching me through my first romance novella (seems like ages ago now, doesn't it?!) and for inviting me to join the original boxed set. To my family, for love and support above and beyond anything humanly reasonable. To Lateia and Erin for continued WD plans. To Kimberly, Deborah M., and Christy D. for amazing beta reading. To Deb for reminders not to hide, to Eli for making pretty art for me, to Amber for reminding me I can do this, and to Clint for making me laugh and keeping me sane-ish as I write. To all the Blazing Indies: y’all keep me steady. And always, most of all, to Isabel, with all my heart. I love you all.

  About the Author

Margo Bond Collins is addicted to coffee and SF/F television, especially Supernatural (maybe because of those Winchesters). She writes contemporary and paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and paranormal mystery. She lives in Texas with her daughter and several spoiled pets. Although she teaches college-level English courses online, writing fiction is her first love. She enjoys reading romance and paranormal fiction of any genre and spends most of her free time daydreaming about heroes, cowboys, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, and the women who love (and sometimes fight) them.
