He moves me faster on his cock, I throw my head back as I feel my pussy clench sending me over the hill into a beautiful orgasm. He thrusts a few more times before he climaxes hard, shouting my name as he spills his seed deep in my womb.
We’re both breathing hard, staring into each other’s eyes. His cock has gone semi soft but it’s still buried deep inside me and I love the feeling of being connected to him. I don’t want to move. I lean in to place a small kiss on his lips with a smile.
“So does this mean you’ll consider giving us a chance? We can take it slow. Day by day.” I’m hopeful. In my heart, I can tell he is a good man and whenever he falls in love, that woman will be the luckiest woman in the world. I’m instantly jealous at that thought, I want him all to myself.
He gently tucks my hair behind my ear. His gaze is intense as he thinks. His beautiful eyes soften and he displays one of his rare smiles. I’m blown away by how his face is transformed when he smiles.
“Yes, Lina. I want to give us a chance too.” He rolls us over, tucking me into his side and covers us with the comforter. He pulls me closer as I snuggle into him noticing how our bodies fit together perfectly. My eyelids begin to droop and within minutes we both doze off.
Chapter Twelve
~Colin~
I’m running late for the meeting with the Legion members. This has never happened before. I’m the Alpha! Arriving early allows me to prepare for the meetings before the team arrives. There is no real excuse for why I’m running late. The desire to reschedule the meeting was strong but would not be in the best interest of the pack. I would love to keep Lina locked up in my bedroom for at least a week. My wolf is pissed that we did not claim her. He is pacing back and forth inside of me. I came so close to biting her and marking her as mine multiple times last night and this morning. The silly smile that appears on my face thinking of our activities of last night disappears the moment I walk into the war room.
The war room is located in the basement of the main house of the compound. The room houses all of our weapons, explosives, and gear we would need on missions. It has state of the art computers, televisions and every technology known to man that would make the human military jealous. Off to the side of the room is the large conference room that is used for team meetings. This room has a large rectangular conference table with plush chairs that surround it, which currently has all six members sitting in their chairs. My empty chair sits at the head of the table.
All eyes are on me as I make my way to the head of the table. Alec makes a big show of looking at his watch, the clock on the wall and then me with his one eyebrow raised. I ignore him and start the meeting without an apology.
“It has come to our knowledge that the demons are trying to come back.” Curses fly around the room. “We will be working with the Witches and the Fae to find the victims. I have met with Azura and she has assured us that the Witches will be working alongside us. They have noted a few Witches that have disappeared in the same manner our wolves have vanished.”
Gunnar signals that he has a question. I nod in his direction. “How are the demons coming back? They were banished centuries ago?” Gunnar has been with my pack and with the Legion for the last seventy-five years. He’s six foot five inches, almost three hundred pounds of pure muscle. With his dark curly brown hair and brown eyes, the ladies fall at his feet at the site of his smile. But today, he’s as serious as a rattlesnake.
“We’re not sure exactly how they are getting here, but we know what they want. Someone has been opening portals to allow them to cross.” I give them a rundown of the story of the Ancients, the Goddess Durga and the connection we have made with the missing all being descendants of the Ancients.
“So Melomouzor wants out of the Underworld and wants to come take over the human realm? There is no way we can let that happen!” Dante exclaims with a scowl. Murmurs of agreement can be heard echoing around the table.
“What’s the plan?” Devyn asks.
“According to the legend of the Ancients, there were three werewolves represented. We were able to trace Serah Daniel and Kevin Rhodes as two descendants of the ancients. We need to make contact with the other packs of the missing wolves and get as much family history on them as possible. We need to find out who their ancestors are and if they descend from the Ancients.”
“If the Demons have all of the missing, there is no telling what they have done to the victims. We also need more information on their disappearances. Nick, can you see what you can find out? Check out all the local news reports. Cross-reference all the information you find on the witches’ disappearances with the wolf vanishings.” He nods his head.
“On it! I’ll also look to social media and see if anything was posted around the time of the disappearances. Humans post everything on social media nowadays.” He rolls his eyes.
He has one of his many laptops on the table in front of him. His fingers fly across the keyboard, his shaggy blond hair flopping down into his eyes. Nick is the youngest member of the Legion at fifty years old. He doesn’t look a day over twenty-five. He is the technology genius of the group. There is nothing that can hide from Nick Sanders online. If it’s uploaded online or some secured database, he can find it. Have any secure codes that need cracked or firewalls penetrated? Nick is your man. He is just an overall computer virtuoso; he even built the security system that protects the compound. While the team goes on missions, Nick mans the command center here at the base.
“Devyn, I need you and Gunnar to head up to Newburgh, Virginia to look into the disappearance of Enid Imola, member of the Mystic Pack. Reach out to the Alpha and speak with her family. The Alpha, Jacob Barnes, is a good man. He will be willing to help us. As you may recall, Enid was enrolled in her junior year at Boston College when she went missing. The east coast Legion has been investigating her disappearance.”
“She was one of the first that went missing two years ago,” Devyn notes, looking up at the television screen where Nick has brought up her file so everyone can see it. Each member turns his attention to the television re-reading the file.
“And that’s why I want to re-visit all of the cases. Now that we know what we should be looking for, I want to look to at all the evidence again with new eyes. Let’s make sure we didn’t miss anything. Now that we know the Demons are trying to come back, there might have been something that we missed before. In light of the new information, we need to get the other regions of the Legion up to speed on the significance of the disappearances and the information Azura shared. They need to start looking at the cases again with a new eye.” I turn to look at Dante. “Dante, I want you to start contacting all the Legions.”
“No problem, boss. I think I will start with the Midwest region!” He smiles like the cat who caught the little canary bird.
“You just want to have an excuse to call Reshia! You’ve been trying to bed her for years,” Reed says laughing. We all smile and laugh. It has been no secret that Dante has the hots for the Midwest Legion team leader. Reshia Galen, the only female leader of a Legion team. She’s one of the toughest females that I have ever seen. She can hold herself in combat with the best of us. She reminds me of my own little pointy-eared dark haired warrior.
“She’s just playing hard to get. Lucky for her, I don’t mind the chase!” He rubs his hands together, while we all groan and roll our eyes. Nick makes gagging noses while Reed acts as if he’s vomiting.
“Ok, Romeo, call Reshia, set up a meeting and get her up to date. We may need to bring them in to help,” I say laughing. I couldn’t have picked a better group of guys.
“Now on to other important things. Alec, Reed and I will be working with the Witches and the Fae. We have to find a way to prevent Melomouzor from making a second coming to the human realm and wiping out the Earth.” The room becomes deathly silent, tension returning.
“We need to do everything we can to find the missing wolves and bring them home and prevent them from finding more descendants.”
Murmurs of agreement can be heard around the room.
“There’s one more thing.” I pause and I have captured everyone’s attention again. “For those who don’t know, the demons attacked when Alec, Arlina and I were interviewing the friend of Serah Daniel.”
“Arlina?” Nick asks, looking up from his laptop.
“Arlina Waldmar, she’s a Guardian of the Fae. She was sent here to investigate the vanishings of the Fae and Witches. She’s also Azura’s granddaughter,” I reply trying to keep all emotions from my face as Lina’s face comes to mind. Visions of her face as she reached one of her many orgasms last night.
“Isn’t she the Princess of the Light Fae?” Dante spoke up gaining my attention again. Shit! I can’t be thinking of her like that in the middle of a meeting. “That little hot black haired number is Prince Vamir’s daughter? What I wouldn’t give to be her Prince Charming, I could—” My deep growl cuts Dante’ off.
Mine.
Everyone’s eyes turn to me in shock, watching as black fur spreads up my arms as I fight to stop the shift. I have never showed any kind of feelings for any of the women that I have slept with in the past. My wolf is becoming more possessive of Lina. He’s trying to get out to attack. She is mine!
“Don’t speak of the Princess in that manner. You will respect her,” I growl around my canines, trying to calm my inner wolf and not shift. That would just be the last thing I need, attacking my own team member. This has never happened before. As Alpha, my strength allows me to always control my inner beast.
“I didn’t mean anything by it, I was just joking around,” Dante quickly explains looking around the table with a confused look on his face.
“Just don’t.” It’s hard to speak around my canines. I close my eyes for a brief second; taking a few deep breaths trying to calm down my wolf. I open my eyes and feel my wolf settle down, my canines retract and the black fur dissipates. “As I was saying, the Demons attacked us after we visited Serah’s friend. They were there for the Princess.” The sound of curses fills the room.
“That’s bold! Why would they attack, right out in the open during the daytime?” Reed asks.
“They wanted Lina. The demon who seemed to be in charge said that Melomouzor wants her before we killed them all,” I answer.
“Do we know why?” Devyn asks.
“No, I’m not sure why the Demon King is hunting down the Princess of the Fae.” He can send all the demons he wants to try to get her and they will all die. Melomouzor will never take what is mine.
Chapter Thirteen
~Lina~
Keegan will be here soon. When I spoke to him yesterday, he said that he would be here by ten a.m. Colin just left to go to his Legion meeting. Since Colin ripped my shirt and bra, I borrowed one of Colin’s t-shirts from his closet to wear home. The shirt practically swallows me and comes down to my knees. My face becomes warm as of the events of last night and this morning replay in my head.
I flash to my bedroom in my grandmother’s house. Walking into my en suite bathroom I pause in the doorway, feeling a presence in my room. I Turning around I see Keegan sitting in the corner chair.
“Where were you, Lina?” he asks, crossing his arms across his chest. As he looks at what I have on, his faces darken with a scowl. Anger is radiating off of him.
“Don’t start Keegan,” I don’t want to argue. I just had the best night of my life and don’t want to ruin the morning with an argument.
“What do you mean, don’t start?” He stands and walks over to me. “I make a point of getting here early, came in here to wake you and you’re not here. Then you flash in all of a sudden, half naked wearing some man’s t-shirt?” He practically screams at me.
“Keegan, I’m a grown woman! I don’t yell at you when women leave your suite at all times of night, or when you come home at the crack of dawn!” I yell back, stomping my foot on the floor with my hands on my hips. He is acting like this is a regular occurrence for me.
“You’re my little sister, a Princess for Goddess sake. You shouldn’t be slinking around at night, coming home half naked!” My eyes narrow at what he is trying to insinuate.
“What are you trying to say, Keegan? You’re a Prince! It’s okay for you to do what you want at all hours of the night but not for me?” I practically growl.
“I’m your older brother and it’s my job to protect you! Who were you with Arlina?” I soften a little, whenever he uses my whole first name he’s in his protective big brother role. Keegan has always had a tendency to be protective of me. He does tend to take his big brother roll a little too far. When I was a teenager trying to start dating, it was bad enough I was a Princess. Boys would be scared to call on me because of the Royal Guard, but they were deathly scared of my big brother. I think they were more scared of my brother than they were of the Guards!
I kick off my shoes and climb on my bed leaning against my headboard. He sits at the foot of the bed waiting for me to answer. “I was with someone.”
“I gathered that.”
“His name is Colin and he is the Alpha of the Diamond Pack.” I look at him, waiting for his reply. He pauses for a second while looking at me with narrowed eyes. This is almost as bad as when my father found out I was no longer a virgin. He was so upset that someone would ‘deflower’ his daughter. I wouldn’t even tell him whom I had lost my virginity to for fear he would go after the poor boy and string him up a tree.
“The leader of the Legion?” Keegan asks.
“You know him?” I ask, tucking my legs under me.
“I’ve heard of him, but I’ve yet to meet him.”
“I don’t know what this is. I can’t stop thinking about him, I just feel drawn to be with him. Being away from him, I feel this ache in my chest. I’m happy when I’m with him. It’s hard to explain.” I look to Keegan but his face is expressionless. I had expected his infamous frown at least but he surprised me with no expression. He looks away for a brief moment.
“Is he the one?” he asks looking away, a muscle ticking in his jaw. I’m not really sure. This is all new to me so I shrug my shoulders.
“We’re going to take it slowly. We agreed to just let it play out and see where it goes.”
“Well just know this Lina, if he hurts you in any way, I will kill him.” He gets up, kisses me on my forehead and walks out of the room, shutting the door quietly. I just pray to the Goddess that Colin never does.
* * *
There’s been a report of a new witch that has gone missing. We’re on our way to the witch’s home one town over in Shelby. Keegan is in the passenger seat of the Guardian’s black Ford Excursion reading over the report of the missing witch. Tarron is driving and Vander is in the back seat next to me. Tarron and Vander have been Guardians since my brother joined. They all went through Guardian training together. Both of them have the look of the traditional Fae with long blond hair. Tarron has violet eyes and Vander’s are a light blue.
Keegan had his second in charge, Almon, stay back in Aveshara to be in charge while he was here in the human realm. Ralnor, Nasir and Christian, the rest of the Aveshara Guardians, stayed with Almon to continue working on the Fae disappearances and protecting the Fae until we return.
My phone vibrates signaling a text coming through. I grab it quickly thinking it might be Colin. It’s Christian.
Haven’t heard from you. Hope all is well.
I’m fine. New victim. On our way to her house now. I respond trying to keep it simple. He responds right away.
Be careful. I’m thinking of you. We need to talk.
I’m not even sure how to respond. It’s been six months since I broke it off. I know I can’t trust him with my heart. He hurt me badly. Two years just down the drain.
We’ll see. I gotta go. Later.
I slide my phone back in my pocket. I look up and Keegan is looking at me in the rearview mirror. He raises his eyebrow. I shake my head signaling nothing is wrong. He goes back to the paperwork on his lap.
<
br /> I’m still debating on the best time to tell Keegan about the demon attack and the demons claiming that Melomouzor wants me. There is really no good time to tell him. I might as well get it over with. At least Vander and Tarron are here to calm him down when he explodes.
“Keegan?” I call him to get his attention. He grunts. “Remember when I told you about the demon attack outside the wolf’s apartment?”
“What about it?” He asks barely looking up from the file. Vander looks at me with one eyebrow raised. I can already see the warning in his light blue eyes. He must have sensed that what I was about to say was not good.
“I may have left a small detail out.” He looks up at that. I’m behind Tarron in the driver seat so Keegan turns around to look directly at me. “Before we killed the demons, they said that Melomouzor wanted me; that they were to bring me to him.” The truck jerks to a stop as Tarron slammed the brakes. Thank Goddess, no one is driving right behind us on the road.
“What the fuck, Lina? Why would you leave something out like that?” Keegan yells at me.
“I didn’t leave it out, I delayed telling you. We killed all the demons and I knew you were going to be here. I was in no danger. I was either at Grandmother’s home with her and then Colin’s. I wasn’t alone. I know how to protect myself Kee!” I grumble. I know I should have told him earlier, but Keegan would have flipped and I would have a guard glued to my hip.
“Who is Colin?” Tarron asks. Keegan gives Tarron the death stare before he turns his stare to me.
“Some dog Lina hooked up with yesterday.” Keegan growls.
“He is the Alpha of the Diamond Pack!” I exclaim. I’m shocked at how cruel he’s being after I spilled my heart and feelings to him about Colin just this morning.
