Lili then instructed the Star Marine captain who would pick up and transport the 4th Race Navy sailors to their new home world – what to do and how to protect the survivors until the emergency support carrier vessels arrived. She also ordered him to leave two platoons of Star Marines behind to protect the 4th Race sailors and their families. As soon as the 2nd Union Army dominator graduated – she would be sending him to relieve the two Star Marine platoons.
Lili assigned Maggi and Sharri to travel to the 4th Race home world to pick up the 4th Race Navy dependents. Lili ordered Maggi to do the talking and pick up the dependents. Lili ordered Sharri to perform target overwatch and protect her Sister. They would be escorted by the new Union Navy heavy battle group that Lili and her Spec War Commander had just observed and approved for duty before the Sisters left the galaxy. Lili ordered the battle group commander to take orders from Maggi. She then ordered the new Star Marine carrier vessels to perform 4th Race Navy dependent pickup operations under Maggi's command.
Maggi ordered the rescue group to form up on Landing Zone - 5. As soon as the Star Marine carrier vessels joined them – they all instantly disappeared.
Lili was very proud of her new baby Sisters. She wished them luck and then ordered the load master at the LSB to load the new Union Navy carrier vessels with emergency supplies and building materials.
Lili then led Mimi, Eden and Golan out through Escape Portal - 3. Lili gathered up all of the remains of the 4th Race battle group ships with her gravity projectors and then Mimi and Golan vaporized the clumped remains with their blue beam weapons. Eden performed target overwatch while her Sisters cleared the target area of debris.
Chapter - 22
Maggi and Sharri instantly appeared just outside the helio-pause of the 4th Race home world. She ordered the heavy battle group destroyers, heavy cruisers and two of her 4 battleships to take up system overwatch positions over the North and South poles of the primary star – a medium sized – old yellow star. She then ordered the light cruisers, gunships and carrier vessels to follow her and Sharri in to the planet. She had already ordered the two submarines to protect them in the MC.
“Let's go in” Maggi said.
Every ship commander signaled affirmative following Union Navy procedure. Sharri automatically took up planet overwatch and launched all of her fighters. The two Star Marine Carrier vessels that were supporting the operation and would conduct the 4th Race Navy dependent pickups launched their vacuum and atmospheric fighters. The Star Marine vacuum fighters rendezvoused with Sharri's fighters.
“Captain alpha-one-seven – MAR.GAZ – do you copy?” Maggi called.
“Go ahead ma'am” Captain alpha-one-seven said.
“Captain alpha-one-seven – do you have the list?” Maggi asked.
“Yes ma'am – we have scanned the locations of the 4th Race Navy dependents and all but 4 are present and ready to be picked up.” Captain alpha-one-seven answered.
“I shall contact the Commander of the Forth Race Navy – send me the list of the 4 missing people.” Maggi said and then ordered.
“Yes ma'am – sending the list now.” Captain alpha-one-seven said.
“Thank you Captain – carry on.” Maggi said.
The Captain signaled affirmative. Maggi selected secure speech on the new TAC net channel.
“Carrier vessel three – MAR.GAZ – do you copy?” Maggi called.
“Go ahead ma'am,” the Star Marine Commander of CV3 responded.
“I am sending you a list of 4 missing people. Please connect me with the Forth Race Navy Commander.” Maggi said.
“Roger that ma’am – stand by,” the Star Marine lieutenant replied.
“Ma'am I have the Fourth Race Navy Commander on the line.” The CV3 Star Marine Commander said.
“To whom am I speaking?” The 4th Race Navy Commander asked.
“I am MAR.GAZ Commander – who are you?” Maggi answered and then asked.
“My name is Gorlan Mosal – please call me ‘Gore’.” The 4th Race Navy Commander answered.
“Nice to meet you Gore – I have sent a list of Four – Forth Race Navy dependents that are missing – or who are not where we were told they should be. Do you know where these people might be?” Maggi said and then asked.
The Star Marine Commander of CV3 handed a data pad to the 4th Race Navy Commander with the 4 names. Commander Mosal reviewed the list. His oldest daughter and youngest son were on the list.
“Ma'am – the Commander appears to be sick.” The Star Marine Commander reported.
“Gore – I apologize – my Mind was occupied with the rescue operation when you told me your name – forgive me for being insensitive.” Maggi said.
“MAR.GAZ there is nothing to forgive – you did not take them prisoner...” Commander Mosal said.
“Gore – can you provide me with their location – are the other two missing people on that list at the same location?” Maggi said.
“What – why,” Commander Mosal asked.
“Because I and my Star Marines - intend to rescue THEM” Maggi answered.
“You are – thank you – THANK YOU and thank your Star Marines for me – here are the prison coordinates.” Commander Mosal said.
He entered the prison coordinates into the data pad and handed the pad back to Star Marine Commander.
“Ma'am I am sending you the coordinates the 4th Race Navy Commander entered into my data pad.” The Star Marine Commander said.
“Thank you commander – ask the Fourth Race Navy Commander if the prison still has the death squad robots?” Maggi said.
“Ma'am the Fourth Race Navy Commander said the death squad robots are there and asks how you know about them.” The carrier vessel commander said.
“Tell the Fourth Race Navy Commander I just read about them as a Cadet in the new Union Naval Academy and tell him not to worry – my Spec War Troopers are trained to rescue hostages and my Star Marines shall not allow reinforcements to save the death squad robots.” Maggi said.
“Yes ma'am – the Forth Race Navy Commander has asked if you will meet him and his wife on their new home planet – he would like to shake your hand and thank you personally!” The Star Marine Commander said.
“Tell the Fourth Race Navy Commander that I would be honored to meet him and his wife – and thank you Commander – MAR.GAZ out.” Maggi said.
Chapter - 23
The Pro Council of the 4th Race ordered his emissary to travel to the large companion galaxy to make contact with the “Outsiders”. He gave his emissary a simple message “we know how to destroy the 7 Sisters – together we can rule this galaxy.” The 4th Race assumed the “Outsiders” attacked the Sisters because they wanted to rule the galaxy as they ruled the large companion galaxy – because that is what the 4th Race wanted.
The emissary was given a single 4th Race carrier vessel with minimal crew and no protection. The emissary entered the FTLT and was never heard from again. The emissary’s carrier vessel was attacked by pirates when it exited the FTLT in the large companion galaxy. The choice to send it to an unknown galaxy without protection was foolish.
The Pro Council made the same mistake 3 more times. He would have sent a 5th carrier vessel if there were any left. He had made the decision to leave the bulk of their carrier vessels behind in the star void near the Andromeda galaxy.
As it turned out the Outsiders were aware of the 4th Race and their efforts – so they decided to travel to the home world of the 4th Race. The agreement that was reached was very one sided and favored the Outsiders. The 4th Race wanted the 7 Sisters out of the picture and they did not care about the price.
Not everyone in the 4th Race leadership thought it was a good idea to join forces with the “Outsiders” and began planning an exit strategy...
Chapter - 24
“Sis the Fourth Race Navy Commander gave me the location for his son and daughter and the two other missing people–” Maggi said on the new TAC net.
“Hi
s son and daughter,” Sharri interrupted.
“Yes – they are being held in the prison on planet 2 and the 4th Race politicians have reactivated their death squad robots.” Maggi said.
“Their death squad robots...” Sharri said.
“Yes – I and my Spec War Team intend to rescue them – I am taking our two Star Marine carrier vessels to planet 2 and rescue them – I need you to take command here.” Maggi said.
“You got it Sis – good luck!” Sharri said.
“Thank you Sis – see you soon!” Maggi said.
The Star Marine carrier vessels recalled their fighters and then jumped with Maggi to the 2nd planet in the system. Maggi briefed the Star Marine carrier vessel commanders in route to the 2nd planet. The Star Marines would surround the prison and prevent counter attacks and stop all reinforcement efforts. The Star Marines launched their recon and sniper teams to support the hostage rescue team. The Spec War Troopers were already in planetary free fall to the prison. The new step-in Armored Battle Suit (ABS) had built-in parachutes and rocket packs to assist in planet fall operations as well as a new personal shield generator that Max and M-14 had just finished testing. The Spec War Team commander had requested a Star Marine recon platoon be attached to his unit. The attached Star Marine recon platoon would be air landed in Maggi's yacht because they had not yet been issued the new standard Star Marine ABS that allowed them to transfer from their SBs.
The Star Marine atmospheric fighters were launching for close air support (CAS) operations. The Star Marine snipers eliminated the 4th Race death squad robots that were preparing to fire on the Spec War Team members that were still in the air preparing to land.
“MAR.GAZ – ONEZERO please send my compliments to the Star Marine Snipers.” The Spec War Team Commander called and then said as he stepped out of his ABS.
“ONEZERO – will do – do you have the prisoners on your scanners?” Maggi asked.
“Yes ma'am – we are breaching NOW.” The Spec War Team Commander answered.
The Star Marine recon team covered the Spec War troopers as they breached the inner wall of the compound's courtyard. The Star Marine recon team had just counter ambushed a detachment of 4th Race death squad robots that were attempting to ambush the Spec War troopers as their feet were touching the ground! The Star Marine recon team had jumped off the ramp of Maggi's yacht before it landed. The superior fire power of the Star Marine recon team suppressed and destroyed the 4th Race death squad robots. They then shot 8 – 4th Race death squad robots through the walls – because they were attempting to kill the prisoners!
The Spec War troopers carried the injured and tortured prisoners out to the prison courtyard and signaled Maggi to pick them up. They covered the bodies of the prisoners when a Star Marine CAS fighter rammed a death squad robot attack craft that was trying to crash land on the Spec War troopers and Star Marines in the courtyard.
“Get that Marine out of that fighter – NOW” the ONEZERO ordered.
Spec War troopers and Star Marine recon team members sprinted to the Star Marine atmospheric fighter. They pulled her from the smoking wreckage and carried her back to the main group. Star Marine snipers dispatched death squad robots that were attempting to fire upon the rescue party from the ramparts of the prison walls! The Star Marine CAS fighters appeared over the walls and began firing at the death squad robots that were preparing a mass attack as Maggi landed her yacht.
Within 3 standard core minutes the prisoners were on their way to Maggi's hull in orbit.
“ONEZERO – were there any other species in that prison?” Maggi asked.
“No ma'am – the only beings in the prison were the four – 4th Race people.” The ONEZERO responded.
“Excellent – ONEZERO – I am putting you and your team in for a Unit Citation.” Maggi said.
“Ma'am I would prefer you put the Star Marines in for a Unit Citation – without the Star Marines – we would have failed.” The ONEZERO said.
“Ma'am – forgive me – I am still on the TAC net – and I disagree with ONEZERO.” The Star Marine Commander said.
“I expect you to be on the TAC net Commander. Why do you disagree with ONEZERO?” Maggi said and then asked.
“Ma'am Max told us that our software is based on the Spec War Troopers. The Spec War Troopers were designed and built by the 6th Race. Therefore the Unit Citation is theirs – in time as we mature and grow we may prove ourselves to be 6th Race Star Marines we could accept such an award. For now we do not deserve such recognition.” The Star Marine Commander said.
“I disagree – every Star Marine proved this day – without exception - you are all 6th Race Star Marines! And my report to Ninlil shall reflect those facts as well as the bravery and all of the above and beyond heroism witnessed by myself and the Spec War Commander that he just submitted in his report to me! Ninlil shall make the decision. As for me – I am proud of every Star Marine under my command. And I shall forever be grateful that you allowed me to keep my promise to the 4th Race Navy Commander – when I told him this day – 'I and my Star Marines intend to rescue them' – his children – thank you Commander and tell your Star Marines HOGAR for me!” Maggi said.
“Thank you ma'am for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to prove we are 6th Race Star Marines – HOGAR!” The grateful Star Marine Commander said and then yelled.
As soon as all teams were out of the atmosphere – Maggi fired a barrage of blue beam and energy bolt weapons into the prison. She then fired her largest thermo nuclear weapon into the center of the courtyard. The resulting ball shaped cloud reached the upper stratosphere so fast the shock wave shook the Naval Aviator vacuum fighters that were covering the withdrawal.
Maggi had 6 newly commissioned Vacuum Air Land Ocean (VALO) Rescue Doctors (RD) in her sick bay standing by to tend to the prisoners that were carried there from her main landing bay by the Spec War troopers who had rescued them. The Spec War troopers gently placed them on the operating tables in the surgical center. The VALO RDs saluted the Spec War troopers and then began tending to their sick and injured patients.
Maggi signaled her rescue team to return to the 4th Race home world. All ships signaled affirmative as they shimmered out of real space and jumped back to join the main rescue operation.
Chapter - 25
Upon her return to SH-1 Lili went to the just completed Combat Information and Prediction Center (CIPC - - “see pic”) ship to find out how Maggi was doing on her first command. The CIPC ship was not ready to travel – however it access to all old and new Union Navy data feeds and Lili was able to see real time battle operations. Lili was surprised when she saw that Maggi had left Sharri in charge of the mission and went to rescue 4 – 4th Race people held in a prison on the 2nd planet. The latest reports indicated Maggi's side mission was a resounding - total success – thanks in large part to the new Union Navy 6th Race Star Marines! In fact Maggi and her Spec War Team Commander reported the mission would have failed miserably without the new Union Navy 6th Race Star Marines and both she and her One-Zero had put the Star Marine recon and sniper teams in for the Union Navy's highest honor for performing their mission above and beyond expectations. And Maggi had just submitted the new 6th Race Star Marines for a Unit Citation!
Well done baby sister – well done indeed! Lili thought.
“Congratulations Maximus – your new Union Navy 6th Race Star Marines have performed far beyond expectations - thank you.” Lili said as Max entered the heart of the CIPC with M-14.
“You are welcome ma'am – I look forward to reading Maggi's report as well as her Spec War Team Commander's report.” Max said.
“CIPC – I am returning to my hull – please keep me informed.” Lili said.
“Yes ma'am – I shall do so with pleasure” the CIC said.
Chapter - 26
The King of the 6th Race remnants went to the meeting with his new allies and personally signed the pact that bound his Race and the 7th Race with the 4th Race and t
he Outsiders from the large companion galaxy. He had been picked up by a 4th Race shuttle that was equipped with the FTLT drive system. He did not understand it – however he knew his people had to have it.
It was obvious to the 6th Race remnant King the 4th Race had not made a good bargain with the Outsiders. There was something about them he did not like. He did not trust them either. The 4th Race gave the Outsiders everything in exchange for “dealing” with the Sisters. He was putting his people at risk and those of the 7th Race without reward. He felt the 4th Race viewed him and his people as cannon fodder. A tactic he understood well because he watched his children and grandchildren perfect the tactic with their slaves.
