Paranormal's Love 11 - Hot-Blooded Alligator Page 11

by Charlie Richards

Sliding into the tub, Collin groaned as the heated water enveloped him. He hissed at the feel of it on his tender anus. Settling back against the tub wall, he rested the back of his head on the lip. He smiled up at his lover and held out his hand.

“Sore?” Tristan asked, a mixture of pride and remorse in that single word.

Collin snorted. “Only in the best way.”

Then, Collin urged his lover into the water with him. He positioned Tristan’s back to his chest and wrapped his arms around him. Holding his lover, Collin let out a long sigh.

“I never thought I’d have this,” Collin admitted softly.

  “This?” Tristan asked. “A Jacuzzi?”

Snorting at Tristan’s teasing, Collin nipped his lover’s earlobe. “No, jackass. A lover. A partner. Someone to spend the rest of my life with.” He sighed, settling his chin on his lover’s shoulder. “I’ve seen how the gargoyles are with their mates, protective and controlling and shit. Please, tell me you’re not going to be that way.”

Tristan hummed for a second. He rested his head on Collin’s collarbone and tilted his head so he could peer up at him. “I will worry about you. I will expect you to come home to me and my bed every night, but I will not ask you to cease being a cop.” He kissed the underside of Collin’s jaw. “Is that what you mean?”

Collin nodded. “Good. Yes. I don’t want to give up my career just because it’s dangerous. I love it.” He smiled down at Tristan. “And I look forward to coming home to you every evening and fucking you senseless.”

Tristan chuckled. “Good. I look forward to that, too.” He kissed Collin’s jaw again, then his brows drew together. He didn’t hide his thought, for in the next second he stated, “You said you’d come out. That is good. I don’t think I could handle seeing another touch you as that woman did today. I wanted to rip her hand off.”

Grinning even though it wasn’t a laughing matter—hell, Collin knew Tristan could do it—Collin murmured, “Yes. I will come out. I’m probably going to lose part of my family, but it’s time I stopped lying about who I am.”

  “I’m sorry.”

Collin sighed and pressed a kiss to Tristan’s temple. “Not your fault. Now at least I get something amazing out of the deal, too.”

“What are you going to tell that chick?”

Chuckling, Collin smiled. “You needn’t worry about Emily. I found out this evening that she is actually my sister, Tania’s girlfriend.” He snickered. “God, what a surprise.”

“Then what the fuck was she doing draping herself all over you at lunch today?”

Feeling oddly warmed by Tristan’s angry possessiveness, Collin cupped his lover’s hand and tipped his jaw so he could give him a soft butterfly kiss. When he lifted his head, he smiled down into Tristan’s shining dark eyes and admitted, “She was testing me. Evidently, she has a badass gaydar or some shit like that.”

Tristan barked a laugh and Collin couldn’t help joining in. Once his mirth settled a bit, he once against rested his head against the side of the tub and hugged his lover close.

“I’ll get Tania back,” Collin vowed softly, his mind already coming up with ideas for some prank to pull on his sister. “I always find a way to one up my sister.”

“I’ll help,” Tristan mumbled, sounding equally relaxed.

  “Sounds great.”

“But we’ll worry about it in a few days,” Tristan continued, pressing harder into his hold.

Collin tightened his grip on his lover and hummed. “Fuck, yeah.” While his life was about to be turned upside down by what he had to reveal to not only his family but his coworkers, Collin knew the hot-blooded shifter in his arms would make it all worthwhile.
