The difference between the two men was ridiculously obvious. My ex-husband wouldn’t go out of his way to help me, ever. He didn’t do the dishes after I’d worked all day, cooked for him, and put our daughter to bed. I could be sick, hurt, or exhausted, but everything in the house was still my responsibility. And it was never good enough. Nothing was ever good enough.
I could clean all day and he’d lecture me on the tiny cobweb under a ledge I’d missed. If I worked to make money, I was neglecting our daughter. If I didn’t, there wasn’t enough money and there was hell to pay for him not being able to buy everything he wanted.
I could never win.
But my life had shifted on its axis after meeting David. In the best ways imaginable.
The first time I had a headache and needed to lie down when I was with David, he offered to take my daughter outside and play with her. He cooked me dinner and as I listened to him playing hide and seek with my daughter outside, I cried with relief and gratitude.
He knew what I needed in every way.
And the sex... the sex with David is incredible. The comparison to my life before him was so markedly different, I may as well have been a virgin when I met him.
Before David, I’d never had an internal orgasm. Sex for me lasted for a few minutes and I got no satisfaction from it. I tried to use toys to increase my pleasure, offered to experiment, do something outside of the box... but I was shut down on every front.
By the time I left my ex, I was so stifled and sexually frustrated, I was ready to explode. My clit vibe was my best friend and I didn’t have any idea what I really needed.
David had spent hours on me that first night, bringing me to climax over and over again. And he hadn’t stopped since...
We’ve both come so very far in the past six months. Both of us originally bonding over the stress and abusive tactics used by our ex partners, which have been heavy shackles to throw away. Especially for David. Boy, did that woman have her claws stuck deep in him. Over twenty years he lived with that woman. Twenty years she had to break him down, but never did she fully break him.
He’d met me, and like the scarred soldier he was, I loved him and helped him heal, and he did the same thing for me.
Today is my birthday, and he’s decided to do something very special for me, or so he says. He told me this morning, over the phone, that he hoped today would be one of the best days of my life.
As I drive out of the city, following his directions, I have no idea where I am going. Why would he ask me to drive for two hours to a country town? What could be out here that is so worth seeing?
But I drink my second bottle of water and carry on, trusting him as I have for the past half year. If I’ve managed to surrender my body to him, my mind and my heart, what’s a day out in the country?
“Turn left now. Your destination is on the right in two hundred feet.”
I follow the directions of the automated female voice speaking to me from my phone.
Thank goodness for the smart phone, that’s all I can say.
I swing my car off the freeway, onto a narrow, gravel track. Where on Earth is he taking me?
David gave me instructions which way to drive and then an address once I was on the road. I’d considered looking the address up online so I’d know exactly where he was luring me, but I didn’t want to ruin the surprise.
The Navman spoke again.
“Your destination is on the right in one hundred and twenty feet.”
I slowed my car down and pulled over on the deserted road, the engine grinding to a halt as excitement rippled through my blood and caused my belly to twist and tighten.
“No, frikken way!”
Ahead of me was a castle.
An actual... castle!
It wasn’t a house pretending to be prestigious or grand. It was twenty foot high, made of grey solid stone, with turrets, a draw bridge and everything. This was Australia, how was that even possible? We don’t have castles here!
I dialed my beautiful man’s phone number and continued to stare up at the imposing building that was still a good hundred meters away down a brick paved road.
“Hello, my beautiful.” His rich, smooth voice greeted me through the phone and I couldn’t stop the flutter of recognition that winged through my belly.
I leaned forward to make sure he could hear me as I spoke into the phone.
“Am I at a castle?”
He laughed, the husky deep tones causing me to smile despite herself. He was seriously... the sexiest man alive.
“Yes, you are. Drive up to the front door and I’ll come down and meet you.”
“Sure. See you soon.”
I pressed end, my mind whirling with the implications of what this day would entail. David had also said this morning that he wanted to bring a childish fantasy to life.
Was I going to be a damsel in distress, and he my knight in shining armor? A grin stretched across my face. He’s already saved me from a horrible fate, my terrible marriage... the role of savior suited him so well.
I pulled my car up in front of the building and breathed a sigh of wonder as I got out of the car.
It was magnificent. Now that I was this much closer I could see that the greyish building was actually built from blue stone, and it stood at least forty foot high, with the characteristic ridged walls and massive arched front doors.
I gathered my bag and walked up the massive steps slowly, admiring the green hills surrounding the castle. I crossed the bridge with a giggle, staring down into the shallow water below. A real moat? How authentic!
I took a breath of crisp, clean air and smiled as excited butterflies took wing inside my belly. I’d been looking forward to this moment for weeks, but with the newness of the relationship and the shadow of my ex’s abuse still present, I had tried not to get too excited about my birthday.
But now, wow. This looked like the promise of a real fantasy about to come true.
The large medieval door made loud banging noises as someone unlocked it from the inside and it swung open to reveal... my man dressed up like a king.
“Wow! You look incredible.” I smiled widely at the woman standing beside him and blinked several times. Was I dreaming this? It couldn’t possibly be real.
Standing there in royal blue robes and a crown atop his silver streaked hair, he gestured to the woman beside him. “Come in beautiful. This is Wendi.”
I rushed forward and stepped up to my gorgeous man, offering my mouth up for a kiss.
Divine lips swooped down onto mine and I let my eyes close. A moan escaped as I let myself truly relax, melting against him for a minute despite the audience we had. I was home.
His aura was so warm, so loving. Just being in his presence made me so happy.
He pulled away and turned me towards the opposite door. The door that led into the castle and we truly leave the cold world behind us.
“Come on. You’ve gotta get your dress on, too.”
“Really?”
I’d worn a dress. The black one with the roses that he liked so much. I linked my hand with David’s, enjoying the strength of his body next to mine as we walked out into the court yard.
He was my big caveman, all muscle and smooth skin. Despite his age, he kept incredibly fit, and made me feel small in comparison, although I wasn’t.
My belly tightened and pulled, heat gathering between my legs as it always did when I was so close to him. I couldn’t wait to get him out of that costume and into my bed where he always needed to be naked.
“It’s winter, so it’s the off season. We’ve organized a dinner for you, but then you’ll have the whole place to yourselves tonight.” Wendi explained as they walked through the courtyard and towards a string of rooms.
“Really? Cool!” I beamed at the woman, knowing that my enthusiasm probably sounded strange, but I loved nothing more than time alone with my man.
David was twenty years my senior and had two teenage kids. I have a young da
ughter who is staying with my parents tonight. We found it hard to have a lot of time together, so I treasured the moments when I had his undivided attention.
Not to mention the fact that if we had the whole place to ourselves, I was pretty sure David would come up with a whole host of scenarios I couldn’t even imagine!
“This is it.” We stopped in front of room eleven and David slid the key into the lock.
“Have a wonderful stay.” Wendi smiled and walked away, one last look at David as she went.
Yeah, I know he’s impressive. But he’s mine.
Even in a King’s pretend crown, black velvet pants, a royal blue robe, my man was a sight to behold. The oversized costume couldn’t hide his massive shoulders, or his wash board flat stomach. He may be forty six, but she didn’t know any thirty-year-olds with the body or the stamina he had.
“My lady.” David pushed open the door and indicated to the room, ushering me inside with a hand about my waist.
“Wow. This is beautiful.” I gazed around at the incredible room we would be staying in overnight.
A massive king sized bed stood in the center of the room and the look was complete with fur rugs and hanging on the walls there were medieval style tapestries. I couldn’t wait to strip off and rub my skin against the faux fur and feel like a real medieval princess, captured by the Lord of the house.
“This is your costume, my princess.”
I stepped up to the bed where a dress lay. It was a rich red with a scoop neck, and long sleeves with golden gauze extensions.
Tears filled my vision and I carefully blinked them away.
“I can’t believe you organized all this.” I gestured to the room and the dress, while doing as he’d asked and stepping out of the dress I’d worn.
“No underwear. Let’s keep this authentic.”
I laughed and shrugged at his suggestion. Why not?
When in Rome.
I turned my back to him and cheekily bent over, sliding my undies down my legs and slowly stepping out of them so that he could look at everything he wanted.
David’s fingertips traced the folds of skin between my legs, gasping loudly in the room when he encountered wet heat. I’d been fantasizing about him the whole drive here and I wasn’t one bit surprised to find my body had already opened for him.
“Quick, get up. Before I take you right here.” He growled at me and I laughed, tossing my bra aside. I was tempted to take him up on that offer, but he obviously wanted to play this out how he planned, so I slipped the dress over my head and settled it onto my large hourglass body. A perfect fit, not tight at all.
“This too.” David picked up a gauzy jacket, handing it to me with an additional gold rope and waist adornment.
“This is beautiful.” I stood in front of the full-length mirror and admired the craftsmanship of the outfit. The jacket was thin and a little scratchy in between my fingers, but as I pulled it up over the dress and laced up the front... I sighed as the magical enchantment of stepping into another persona wrapped around me.
I was a princess. Fit for a prince. My prince.
“You look incredible in that.”
I felt incredible. Thanks to him. His words, the warm tone behind them, everything about him made me glow with the love we shared.
I looked up and glanced at my lover’s reflection in the mirror. David’s eyes were eating me up, flames flickering in those hazel depths.
Heat pooled in my belly and I turned around to grab him and pull his close. He kissed me and I moaned as his tongue slipped into my mouth, making me ache for so much more.
I extended my arms and reached around for his firm ass, squeezing the sculpted muscle and pressing my pelvis against his in an ancient invitation.
He groaned, the sound tugging deep, calling to the primitive side of me that wanted to drop to my knees in front of him.
He stepped away and I pouted, wanting to strip my man of his robes and get down and dirty.
He cleared his throat and held out his hand. “Let’s go, my princess, there’s more to see.”
I giggled as I ran my gaze over his outfit, loving the way his robe was already tenting a little in the front. His response to me was always so honest and fast, and I was so ready to take his cock into my body that I could almost taste it.
“Where are we going?”
I put my hand in his once again, loving the roughened skin beneath my palm. He led me out of the amazing bedroom and into the sunshine once again. It was a beautiful day for early winter and I was pretty sure we wouldn’t get too many of these days again until spring.
“This way, my beautiful.”
The grounds were magnificent and even more of me relaxed as I glanced around and took lots of healing, deep breaths. The castle had a very mature, and well-maintained garden sprouting around all the blue stone buildings. Massive trees, shrubbery, and sculpted hedging made it seem like we truly had stepped back in time.
“This is amazing, David.”
He opened the door into the main hall and I stepped through the heavy iron entrance way. Whoever built this must have spent an absolute fortune.
The room was set up like a dining room with a stage and two red thrones upon it. This room would be perfect for a small wedding or even a play.
David squeezed my arm as we walked across the parquetry floor.
“My advisors tell me that I need a Queen.”
His words bounced around my head and slid down into my heart.
No! It can’t be!
I swallowed hard. This was happening too fast. Was he wanting to role play, or was he actually going to propose on my birthday?
“Ah... and you are considering me for the role, Sire?” I played along the best I could, stepping up to the thrones and sitting in one of the red chairs.
He nodded once, a solemn expression on his handsome face. “Yes. Your family would not have sent you to me otherwise.”
He grinned and stood over me looking magnificent and strong, so regal. The outfit suited him down to a tee. His smile lit him up from the inside and I was so honored to be able to see the real him. Appreciate him for who he was.
So few people knew how special this man actually was. He was the best father, lover, and man I had ever met, and yet he hid it from the world so well. He’d been hurt by too many people, too often, to show the real him to anyone but me.
I am seriously the luckiest woman in the world to know the real man under all those layers, and I thank the powers of the Universe that pushed him my way, every day.
I sat on the red throne caressing the leather arm rests with my fingertips for a moment, a little awe struck by the game they were about to play.
I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, nor what his true intentions were, but if he wanted to play... we would play.
“Do I have to do anything special for this honor my lord?”
He nodded, placing both hands on his hips and looking dominantly regal. “I have a series of tests planned. Shall we start?”
I nodded and jumped up. This was going to be the most exciting night of her life, she just knew it! They should start as soon as possible.
“I shouldn’t be sitting in this throne yet, Sire. You’re the King.” She pushed him back so that he fell into the other throne and sunk to her knees in front of him. If there was a series of tests to come, then she needed to start with one she knew she would pass.
“I would love to suck your cock, Sire...”
David chuckled and reached into his elastic waistband pants, pulling out his cock and offering it to her to taste.
Oh, yum. I’ve missed you.
I leant forward and took the warm flesh into my mouth. He gasped and hissed as I moved on him, hollowing my cheeks and using a little of my teeth on the head. Exactly as he liked it.
“Oh, fuck...” He ground out, his voice deeper and huskier.
His cock thickened in my mouth, the flesh extending and hardening in anticipation for more.

; I pulled off and looked up at him, injecting as much warmth and cheekiness into my gaze as I could. I loved doing this for him. When I got it right, his eyes practically rolled back in his head and for a man that gave me so much during our love making, it was an honor to make him feel so good.
“That’s enough.” He groaned as he tucked his cock back into his pants and blew out an unsteady breath. His hazel eyes sparkled with happiness and good health.
He cleared his throat, looking a little uncomfortable as he shifted in his chair. “I think we better continue with the tour.”
I could barely keep my impish smile down to a minimum as I let him pull me to my feet, the feel of him on my lips and the taste of him of my tongue, still present.
“Where to next, my king?” She giggled as he swatted her ass as they walked through the room and back outside.
“Let’s go see the tower.” David pointed to a three level tower, joined by a bridge to an identical building.
“I still can’t believe you organized this for me.” I didn’t want to repeat myself too much, but David deserved the words. I’d seen the state of our room when I’d dressed.
He must have been here hours ago. He had the swing set up, a huge metal thing he’d brought from home, a four-point hand cuff system already tucked under the mattress and their play bag was clearly displayed.
I was in for a night of pure sensation saturation.
“I love you, beautiful. I want this to be one of the most memorable days of your life.”
Tears sprang to my eyes and I gripped his hand tight, blinking the moisture away as he guided me into the round table room.
I was trying not to get ahead of myself, but words like that gave my heart pure hope that he really was going to ask a question that would change both of our lives forever.
“I feel like we’re back in King Arthur’s time.”
I grinned at him as I walked around the first level room, looking at the impressive displays of medieval weapons on the walls and in glass display boxes.
There were stocks in the corner and David walked over to them, lifting up the wooden upper half and cocking his eyebrow in question.
I walked over, knowing what he wanted without him having to ask.
