by A. Lynn

  “Yup,” she smiles.

When I turn around, I see Axle at the mouth of the hallway, coming this way. When he sees me seeing him, he changes direction and heads to the kitchen. I hurry to follow him while I have this liquid courage. “Can we talk, Axle?” I call and watch as his spine snaps straight.

“There’s nothing to talk about, Skylar.”

“I call bullshit. You have avoided me since Dec took me and I want to know why. I thought we were better than that.”

“Look, Skylar, I didn’t want you then and I sure as fuck don’t want you now that you have been used and abused. Why is that so hard to get through your fucking head? I. DON’T. WANT. YOU.”

“Hey, baby,” Ruby purrs. “I was looking for you.”

“Looks like you found me,” he says seductively while maintaining eye contact with me.

“I’m horny, baby,” she whines as she wraps her arms around his waist.

  “This morning wasn’t enough?”

“That dick is too good. It will never be enough.”

“Let’s go scratch that itch for you. There is no other pussy I want to be buried in,” he replies and brings his lips—my lips—to Ruby’s; breaking my heart.

Every word like a spear piercing my heart, breaking me little by little. Used and abused. That’s cool, though. But he’s wrong; I was abused but for some unknown reason, Dec wouldn’t let Chains use me. That small piece of me that I always held onto for Axle is still there. Not that I will ever tell him that.

I guess it is time to get off the pot and I need to get the fuck out of here.

  The End….

  About the Author

  A. Lynn is a self-published author who—in her late thirties—decided to take her love of books a step further, bringing the stories in her mind to life by putting them on paper. She is a lover of all things romance, whether it is dark, funny, or bully. But her heart belongs to MC romances. Her favorite heroes are gritty, dirty talking alphas. The anti-heroes, because who wants to be good all the time?
