“Dead slow ahead Miss Mercer.”
Stone turned in his chair to look back at Hammond.
“Now for a quick and peaceful trip home.” Stone said.
“Quick maybe, but peaceful?” Hammond shrugged. “I know for a fact that there is at least one pirate ship out there, the one that left the station two days ago, and I bet they are waiting for us to pass.”
“True.” Stone said. “But I’ve hunted pirates before, we have a good crew, and we know to expect them. What’s the worst that could happen?”
