Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane moved up to first place on the hardcover list, and the Gollancz edition of Terry Pratchett’s Raising Steam debuted in second. The new runner-up was Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep (Scribner) out of 58 titles nominated, up from 48 last month.
George R.R. Martin’s A Dance With Dragons remained at number one, and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss moved up to number two on the mass-market list this month. The new runner-up was Alien Research by Gini Koch (DAW) out of 53 titles nominated, up from last month’s 44.
Redshirts by John Scalzi lept up the trade paperback list to first place this month. The was no new runner-up, with 36 titles nominated, down from the 40 we saw last month.
William Shakespeare’s Star Wars by Ian Doescher moved up a spot to take top honors among the media-related titles, and there was no new runner-up. There were 19 titles nominated, same as last month.
Forgotten Realms: The Companions by R.A. Salvatore stayed at number one in the gaming-related titles, with no runner-ups. There were 20 titles nominated, up quite a bit from the 11 last month.
