"What happened?" Eva asked.
"I have a date!" Rain responded gleefully.
"Really? When? Where?"
"Tomorrow night, at his cabin in the woods."
"You're going all the way out there?" Eva asked, confused.
"He's going to call me tomorrow with directions. He said it's a short drive if you know the shortcut."
"Well, look at you," Eva said, looking at Rain with new respect. "A date you're actually excited about?"
"Oh, Eva," Rain said, trying to hold in her laughter. "This guy is different, he's special."
"How so?"
"He's just not normal. He's like no guy I've ever met. He's all man."
"That's how I feel about Rowan." Eva sighed as she said it, like she was wishing Rowan was here right now.
Rain was glad the buzzkill wasn't anywhere nearby. "No, not like that." She hated that Eva was bringing her man into this conversation.
"What?"
"He's more man than Rowan."
Eva just stared.
"He's big and burly, like no man I've ever met."
"That's what I think about Rowan."
"It's not the same. He can do things to me no other man has ever thought of."
"Rowan's like that too. He just takes without asking."
"It's not the same! He's so powerful. I'll always feel protected."
"Rowan makes me feel safe."
"It's not the same. There's a wild animal inside of him that wants to be let go, but at the same time there's a softness waiting to be tamed."
"Rowan's sensitive like that too."
"Dammit, Eva, it's not the same!"
"Well, I'm sorry, Rain! I'm glad you found a guy who rocks your world, but you're going to have to accept the fact that I love Rowan and I feel the same way about him!"
"Fine," Rain said, slumping down in her seat and crossing her arms. "Let's go. The quicker I get to sleep the quicker tomorrow night will come."
Eva just smiled and turned Rain's car on. There was something messed up about the person who could get drunk, and had been drinking, doing the driving, but Rain's legs felt like jelly after the experience she had just had. There was no way she could go faster than three miles an hour all the way home.
She looked out the window expectantly, taking in the soft glow of the moon. The lunar light radiating through the night sky caused her wolf to stir gently, satisfied that it had found a man to finally tame it.
TAMING THE BEAR PART 2
Chapter 10
Rain pulled her large body pillow over her face, trying to block the morning rays that were slicing through her blinds and threatening her slumber. Why did she always have to wake up so damn early? No matter how late she stayed up the night before, her sleep was always disturbed early the next morning.
Today she had it, though; today she had beaten the early morning sun's attack. Sleep was coming back and she was beginning to return to the wonderful place she had been before, until an annoying buzz began to emanate from her nightstand.
"Fuck," she muttered, sitting up in bed and slapping at her phone. "I have to work today."
She didn't know who she was talking to; there was nobody else in the room. She'd come home alone the night before, but that had been okay. Things were looking up for Rain's lonely life; she had found a man that definitely wanted to see her.
Beorn, she thought, remembering his name and turning his face over in her mind. Most women probably wouldn't find him attractive; he was a bit on the large side and you could barely see his face behind the giant beard and the incredible bush of wild hair. But Rain had spent plenty of time in bed with men who were considered "traditionally handsome" or "hot."
All of those pretty boys were the same. They didn't give a damn about her or her needs, especially in bed. They got on top, humped like a jackhammer and then rolled off, panting and declaring themselves the man or the wolf or whatever they were. Once she'd put a mirror next to her bed but she'd quickly gotten rid of it after she caught a guy staring at his reflection while taking her from behind. What the actual fuck? Were most guys really that full of themselves?
Beorn didn't seem that way; he wasn't full of himself at all, from what she could tell. He did seem to be an introverted asshole who didn't have any use for anyone but himself, but that was okay. Rain hated most people and wolves too, so they had something in common.
Unfortunately, she had to shove all thoughts of Beorn and his beefy body and the erotic way he'd slammed her against his truck out of her mind so she could go to work answering phones at City Hall.
If hell was real, then it would be answering phones at City Hall. It was absolutely awful. First she had to deal with phone calls from other cities and counties asking questions or wanting to put on joint events or wondering why there hadn't been a new housing project in Bucklin in fifteen years. Usually those were easy to deal with, but when the wolves called bitching about this or that she really went insane. Most of the time they would ask, "Do you know what pack I'm in?" like it mattered. Packs were a thing of the past, only really used for wolves who needed something to identify themselves with.
The Skyvale pack were the only wolves who really identified with their pack anymore. Sure, you would find some of the Blood Moon pack who were sneaky little bastards, and some of the Dawnguard saw themselves as modern day knights, but overall most wolves just lived a normal human life with their families. When the packs did try to hold meetings, attendance dwindled each month. Hell, the Blood Moons didn't even have an alpha right now and there hadn't been any clamor to replace him, causing Aster to put the matter on the back burner until he'd solved all the problems relating to Satan's Angels.
Poor Aster was supposed to be "head alpha," a fancy term for mayor in this town, yet everyone was keeping him completely in the dark on the whole situation. His long-lost mate was back, but nobody would tell him out of fear that he wouldn't let her go. But she didn't want to go and would Abaddon even want her back? Someone had to tell him. Everyone needed to know, but that wasn't Rain's place. Leena had only been back for a day, anyway; surely Rowan would figure it out.
As Rain pulled out of her driveway she looked down at her phone one more time to make sure it was fully charged. Beorn would be calling at some point today to give her directions to his place. He didn't seem like the patient type and she definitely did not want to miss that call. Work would be torture today, and the clock would probably move at a snail's pace all day. Each click an eternity apart, torturing her and taunting her as she waited for the moment when she could go find the man who would rock her world.
Did that make her slutty? She wasn't envisioning a life with Beorn, nor was she envisioning any kind of serious relationship. The only thing on her mind was the big bear manhandling her and having his way with her. She was going to be all his, letting him use her in whatever way pleased him the most. She knew he was up to the task; he was an untamed beast.
There weren't many wolves out on the road. Most were probably still slumbering or sitting around the kitchen table enjoying breakfast with their families. It really was a quaint Leave It To Beaver kind of town, even if everyone had an animal living inside of them. The lack of people on the street allowed Rain's mind to wander.
What would Beorn do to her? Would he be gentle or rough? The image and feel of her breath being sucked away as he'd slammed her into the side of his truck ran through her head. It had hurt, but it had been a good kind of hurt. When she hit the truck it immediately sent shockwaves of pleasure through her body. All she could do to respond was reach out and bite him, bite him hard. He had responded by nearly impaling her on his sizeable cock. If only their clothes hadn't been in the way
Thoughts of Beorn finishing the job he'd started the night before began to creep into her head. What if he had ripped her shirt completely off, revealing her small B-cup breasts? Would he be satisfied with them? He could fit al
l of one in his mouth, his large tongue expertly working over her nipple and the sensitive area around it.
She could imagine his monster staff exploding through his jeans and parting her tight, wet opening. Her labia would fit perfectly against the thick rod as it began to slide in and out of her, the bulbous purple head finding its mark against her clit each time his powerful hips thrust backwards.
In her mind, each thrust rocked the truck behind her, causing the suspension to creak in tune with her moans and shrieks of pleasure. If anyone had been walking by, they might think some monster was eating a girl beside the truck. Instead, a monster was giving a girl the fucking of her life one that she had been desiring for longer than she could remember.
All she could do to quiet herself was bite into his thick neck, trying to quiet her symphony of pleasure. Beorn responded by tensing up, embracing the pain from her bite as his motion got faster and more powerful.
He was so big that it hurt, but she didn't care. The pain was a good pain, an orgasmic pain that threatened to shatter Rain into a thousand pieces. She was so wet, both in the fantasy and real life, that she couldn't believe it.
Her opening was so wet it allowed Beorn's manhood to continue its assault unabated, picking up steam with each entry.
At this point Rain had parked her car, noticing that she was early and there was nobody else in the parking lot. She could do whatever she wanted; she had the key and nobody was getting into the building without her. Normally she worked alone on Saturdays, but occasionally someone else would show up to do some work. Maybe this was one of those lonely Saturdays, though. She could only hope.
Luckily she had worn a skirt to work. She took another glance around the parking lot before flipping the skirt up to reveal her soaking panties. Without hesitation she began to furiously rub her index finger and hand up and down her opening, pushing the fabric against her labia and the soft nub of her clit. It felt so good. She hadn't been this horny in so long.
She stopped looking for anyone else; she was past the point of caring. Her panties were in the way of her good time, so they had to be removed. Casually she pulled them to the side, revealing her swollen labia. She first started teasing herself, running her fingers up and down her slit. Each time they came close to her clit she took in a deep breath, feeling her breath going away. It was like there was a heavy weight on her chest and the only thing that could remove it was to explore deeper.
She bit her bottom lip to stifle a moan as she slid her two middle fingers inside of her, feeling the wet stickiness of her vagina as she began to work her fingers back and forth. At the same time she began to flick the pad of her thumb across her clit, sending lightning bolts of pleasure shooting through her body. Her wrist was beginning to hurt as she furiously fingered herself, wanting to feel the wonderful release of orgasm.
She threw her head back and began to moan softly, unable to bite her lip and hold it back anymore. Her moans got louder and louder as she continued to work her opening and clit in conjunction with expert precision. No man had ever been able to bring her to the point she could bring herself to, but she knew Beorn could. She continued to imagine the strong bear pounding away at her, giving her everything he had as she was helplessly smashed between him and the truck.
Then it hit her all at once, like an explosion in her vagina that spread through her entire body. Every nerve in her body tingled as her legs became wobbly. She sunk back into her seat, nearly melting into the leather. That was what she needed. It was the best.
A car horn went off, startling Rain and causing her to jump. Her head swiveled from side to side quickly, looking for the source of the intruding noise. As she found it her lip curled with disgust.
The old bitch Eden was parked a few spaces over, glaring at Rain. She'd had a run-in with Eden about a week ago when Eden was accosting Eva and trying to start a fight. Eden had always had it bad for Rowan and it drove her insane that he was mated to a human. It made her even angrier that Eva hadn't gotten down on her knees and kissed Eden's royal ass.
Eden was another wolf stuck in the old times. She thought a male wolf could claim whomever he wanted and could treat his woman any way he saw fit. She was appalled that Eva was a strong woman and wasn't following Rowan around on her knees begging for table scraps.
She made Rain sick. She had no respect for herself as a woman or a wolf. Unfortunately she occupied a position much higher up the food chain, both in pack politics and at City Hall. Luckily Rain didn't report directly to her, but Eden had lorded the fact that her job was more important on more than one occasion.
Rain wondered if Eden ever liked to dress in the furs Forrest had insisted the alphas wear to preserve the old times. She was sure the hussy had put them on more than once and danced around in front of Aster, probably letting him do whatever he wanted to her. She wasn't afraid to sleep with someone to get ahead in life, Rain guessed; it was the only explanation for how such an unpleasant bitch had managed to move up in position at City Hall.
Right now she was sitting in her overpriced BMW pointing at the door and waving her arms wildly. It was obvious she needed to be let into the building and Rain was the only one who could do it. Had she caught Rain masturbating? Surely not, or she would have already been out of her car, pouncing on the fact.
Rain opened up the car and stepped out, smoothing her skirt and shooting Eden the fakest smile she could muster. It was just dripping with sugary sweetness, enough to choke a bitch.
"What the fuck were you doing?" Eden demanded. "You had your eyes closed and everything!"
"I was sleeping," Rain lied, still smiling. "It's early and nobody was here so I grabbed a few quick Z's before opening up the building."
"I don't know why you have a key and I don't," Eden muttered, still trying to stare a hole right through Rain.
"Don't worry, boss!" Rain said, exploding with fake joy. "Let me get that for you."
Why the hell was Eden here? Rain was only here to answer phones until noon, and there was no reason for anyone from Eden's department to come in. Rain didn't give a damn, though. She just wanted the evil witch out of her sight.
"Now make sure you let me know if you're still here when it's time for me to go home," Rain said condescendingly. "I'd hate to forget about you and lock you inside."
Eden just huffed past her, stomping towards the stairs. Rain giggled, loving how easy it was to get under her worst enemy's skin. This was going to be a good weekend.
Chapter 11
"Do you still want to go through with meeting Abaddon?" Beorn asked, leaning against the bed of his pickup truck and trying to look as bored as possible. If anyone was spying on the two friends, they'd probably think of this more as a routine conversation than something taboo.
"I'm not sure," Thorn said, standing casually with his hands in his pockets. He was looking at the ground, kicking a few pebbles around in the old parking lot.
The two had met outside the local feed store, which was closed due to the disappearance of the Oakdale pack members, and were trying to hash out their plan. They could have met at Thorn's house, but if they were being watched it would create more suspicion than was needed. It was safer to meet in public at the moment.
"You were so sure last night," Beorn reminded him.
"I know," Thorn said, staring off into the distance. "But it may have been foolhardy. Besides, I'm starting to feel bad that Aster doesn't know anything."
"Should he know?" Beorn asked, turning and absentmindedly fumbling with the ropes on his tarp. His truck bed was jam-packed with supplies, supplies he wanted to get home and unpack before his date tonight.
"Why shouldn't he?" Thorn looked up, trying to make eye contact, but Beorn just glanced over his shoulder before returning to the rope.
"He's a hothead, a bad one. If he finds out Leena is here and doesn't want to leave, he'd flip his lid and try to keep her here."
"That's true, but aren't
we going to ask Abaddon the same thing?"
"We are, but we don't have the emotional tie that Aster does. Our conversation would go much more genially."
"It's true."
"So when do you want to do this meeting?"
"How about tomorrow night?"
Beorn hadn't considered that it would happen that quickly, but it was a pretty good idea to get it done and over with. Time was ticking before Abaddon's ultimatum was up.
"What if he turns on us?" Beorn asked. "He could be angry that we've kept his mate from him for the last two days."
"We've only had her for a day."
"It'll be two by the time we have the meeting."
"Oh, yeah."
"And what if he decides he wants her with or without the demon inside? Could we really give an innocent girl to him?"
"Aster and Rowan did it once."
"Can they do it again, though? Especially after ten years of not seeing her?"
"I don't know. We'll have to be the ones to make the exchange if he wants her."
"We'd have to go through Rowan to get her back."
"You can take Rowan easily," Thorn said, a half-smile creeping across his face. He had always admired Beorn's strength; it was a strength most wolves didn't have.
"That's not the point," Beorn said, puffing his chest out. "I could kill Rowan and Aster at the same time if I wanted to, the key word being 'want'."
"You don't want to?"
"This isn't my problem," Beorn said, throwing down the rope he had been fumbling with. "I appreciate your friendship and I love you like a brother, Thorn, but protecting your damn town is not my responsibility! I don't even like wolves, and here I am being asked to put my neck on the line to save them."
"You wouldn't just be saving me, though, you'd be saving her."
"Who?"
