For a moment, a hint of regret filled his expression. “I know.” Then it disappeared and he was back to being the confident man she knew and loved. “Come on. I want to go home and see our son.”
His words warmed her heart. “I want another baby with you, Tate.”
Something dark flared in his eyes. “So do I. As many as you like.”
“I’d like at least three.” It was hard to believe this was a possibility now, and that she could share it with the man she loved.
His mouth curved sensually. “Didn’t you once say practice makes perfect?”
She went on her toes and kissed his cheek. “I believe I did.”
Tate slipped his arm around her shoulders. “Then we’d better get started.”
Together they left the study by the terrace door and strolled through the landscaped gardens around the side of the house, heading for the limousine. A night breeze softly traced over their skin, and the brightest of stars twinkled down on them.
Love was definitely in the air.
