Jerahmeel prayed to the Lord and said, "Lord God, how long wilt thou suffer the sons of Egypt to lay waste to thy people? When will the God of all the Earth bring recompense to this evil people?"
The Lord replied, "Alas, for the cries of my people have been with me these four generations, and behold the iniquity of the Egyptians is now full."
Jerahmeel then beheld a cup that sat before the Lord and within it held the prayers of God’s people, and next to it was a balance, and when the cup of the Lord's people filled with prayer, the scale tipped and the weights fell to the crystal floor. A clear liquid poured from the cups of the tipped scale and pooled on the floor. The floor shimmered and the floor projected the earth, and Jerahmeel watched as the Lord raised a man from his people. Watched as he grew, and the man's name was Moses. Jerahmeel noted that Moses was driven from Egypt into the wilderness, and that the desert winds and grit of sand washed him of the arrogance that he displayed while a prince among the Egyptians. The Lord then called to Moses, from a flaming bush that did not burn, and Moses followed the voice of the Lord, who directed him into a mountain.
The Lord looked below to see the Earth, and Moses, the man He had chosen to lead His people from bondage, was on a mountain, and the Lord said, “See, I have lighted a bush in flames that consume not, and lo Moses goes to see the thing. For I will use my servant Moses, and with him punish the Egyptians and shake the foundations of their world."
The Lord appeared unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush, and Moses looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, “I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.” And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, "Moses, Moses."
Moses replied, "Here am I."
El said, "Draw not nigh hither. Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Moreover, He said, "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." Moses then hid his face for he was afraid to look upon God.
And the Lord said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey, unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me, and I have seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt."
El continued to talk with Moses, and then gave him a rod and sent him with his brother Aaron to confront the angels and Pharaoh who had set themselves up as false Gods among the people.
The Lumazi assembled to watch El in this thing, as the Lord would bring to naught all belief that the Egyptians held to the idols of the people.
"What is El doing?” Azaziel asked.
Argoth turned to face him. "El seeks to bring low the false images that Lucifer has placed in Egypt, and to show the people of His promise that the Almighty covers them. Watch and stand ready, for El doth do battle with gods."
Azaziel then beheld from the throne room that El sent Moses before Him that He might show Himself powerful through a human vessel.
Azaziel tapped Jerahmeel on the shoulder. "Why doth not El Himself just descend and bring relief to the people?"
Jerahmeel smiled. "The ways of the Lord are a thing of wonder. There are many reasons we have discerned; one is that El seeks to share with His children His wonders and prefers to partner through them. It pleases the Lord when faith is expressed, especially in the direst of straits. El does not need to descend to destroy. His thought alone, should He wish it could bring oblivion. Yet He limits Himself, that He might receive glory through another. For if His vessel is mighty, what then will the people deem El to be? Humankind cannot fathom the totality of what and who El is. His presence cannot stand sin, and might bring fear to the people. Thus He sends ambassador to show the nature of the Godhead."
And when Moses stood before Pharaoh and commanded him to let his people go, Pharaoh would not let the people go, and Pharaoh withstood God and said, "Who is the Lord God that He should be obeyed to let the people go? I do not know thy God, for the people are mine."
God then spoke through Moses to Pharaoh that He would unleash ten judgments, that He might show Pharaoh that there is only one God in all the Earth.
And God said, "I go to break the minds of the people and to show my wonders in the land, for lo, if Pharaoh releases the people now, Satan will still hold place in the peoples’ minds. I go to cast down every high thing that would exalt itself against me. Pharaoh is but a man, and the Fallen are not God. I will go to war through my man to cast down angels who have made themselves gods among men. And when they are cast down. Then I will turn Pharaoh's heart, and he will let the people go."
And there rested over the people ten evil spirits that acted as principalities over the minds of men. The Grigori counted them, and the record showed that ten angels ruled on Satan's behalf in Egypt.
Moses stood before Pharaoh, and round about the king of Egypt were ten angels, five to his left and four to his right, and standing behind Pharaoh was Charon, whom Lucifer had sent as his herald to keep all his minions in line. And Charon was slave to Satan, and those Egyptians who had been given partial sight into the realm of the spirit called Charon Anubis, and Charon stood as the invisible power behind all previous Pharaohs, such that a mere man was worshiped as God.
The Fallen had deceived the men of the Nile that they were gods, and the nine that were chief in this thing were Hapi, Heket, Seb, Uatchit, Nut, Isis, Osiris, Hathor and Ra. But Charon who also had been named Anubis by men stood behind Pharaoh as protector and as the God of Death, and only moved at the command of Lucifer.
Moses walked in the power of El and spoke against Hapi— the lying angel who the Egyptians worshiped as God of the Nile. And Hapi sought to stand against Moses. For Hapi caused the Nile to flood per the instructions of Lucifer and give unto the people fertile land. Moreover, whenever the people perceived through Creation that there was a God greater than Hapi the river God, he withheld the Nile that there might be famine in the land. And the Lord was wroth that Hapi disturbed the order of the Lord and had made the people to believe he was a god, and was cruel as to hold back from the people. The Lord through Moses smote the power of Hapi, and when Moses put his staff in the water, the water became as blood. And Hapi would not cede that a man from God would have power over him, and he gave power to the priests of Pharaoh to duplicate what Moses and Aaron had done. Hapi then spoke. "See, El delivers to us a feast to show that in this world we are God. For if El be triune, can we who are a multitude not be anything but God to man?" For Lucifer had promised the Fallen that in this world, all could be a God.
Moses came again a second time and set himself against Pharaoh and set himself to smite the angel Heket, and by the word of Moses were frogs unleashed over the land. And the frogs were as a blanket of filth, loathsome and moist with slime, and the people were troubled by them, but the people would not believe that there was but one God, and Pharaoh would not be turned.
"For I will do unto Pharaoh even as men have done to the frogs," said El. “For I shall harden his heart, and he shall boil in judgment and be still until Egypt is boiled in their own sin."
However, Heket was emboldened by the success that his brother Hapi had with the man Moses, and gave power to the Egyptian priests, and they too duplicated the word of Moses by Elomic command so that frogs also came forth.
And the Lord was pleased that the people believed that the priests of Egypt were as Moses, that He might escalate the destruction of the stronghold o
f belief in both angel and man's mind that there were many gods. El then sent Moses to Pharaoh, and He caused Moses to unleash lice into the land. And Seb was Archon over the dust of the Earth, and when Seb used his power to recall the lice, the lice would not heed, and Seb was humbled in the eyes of his brethren. For El would send a message to the Fallen that at his hand both angel and man could not build anything that El could not destroy. Again, Moses traveled to speak to Pharaoh, and again demanded as ambassador of El to Lucifer's king in the Earth to release his people. Again Pharaoh spoke, "Who is the Lord that I should let the people go?" And because the spirits spoke into Pharaoh's ear and he gave them heed, El then hardened Pharaoh's heart, that by the words of Pharaoh’s own lips he would break the back of the man king he had allowed Lucifer to set up as his puppet in the earth.
And slowly each of the Lumazi came to give report to the Lord, and each stopped when they entered the throne room, for El was standing and Enoch was looking into the floor, and each angel that entered watched over the shoulder of Enoch, looking past the glass floor into the realm of men to watch El do battle against the false Gods of Egypt. They watched as El through Moses systematically destroyed each archon's power. And El was wroth against Uatchit, one of the angelic princes, and sent flies that rained upon Egypt in such numbers that the people were awash with them. For the flies were as a great plague upon the land, and there was no place in Egypt save the land of Goshen, where the Hebrews dwelt, where the flies were not. They were in the water, and soiled the food, and there was no place that the flies did not touch. And the whole of Egypt became unclean. All the Lumazi watched, as the angels that stood behind Pharaoh could not recall the flies, for El gave command with the word of the man Moses's lips.
"What is El doing?" asked Metatron.
Jerahmeel turned to answer but then watched as Argoth revealed to them via images in the ceiling how God had poured bowls and bowls of living water unto the man Moses, and how he was emboldened in the power of the Lord with each engagement with Pharaoh and the angelic princes that Lucifer had set up to undergird his kingdom.
"Lucifer has raised up a kingdom in the Earth, and he hast lifted great monuments and convinced the people that there are many gods that they might serve him. El has given power to a son of Adam who holds El in faith and will move as commanded. Thus, El goes to war with Lucifer to birth a nation from the loins of slavery. Then all nations shall hear of it and will hold the people in fear. It will give El the time He needs to fashion Him a people of faith so that Shiloh may come,” said Jerahmeel.
All gazed as El struck down angel, after angel, each set as a false god to detour worship from El to the Fallen, and ultimately to Lucifer himself.
El then unleashed unto the nation a plague, such that the livestock of the people died, and He destroyed the economy and the means whereby the nation might produce and trade with other nations. And when Pharaoh would still not repent, El sent boils into the nation and unto the flesh of all men save the people of God. The boils were of such affliction that the Egyptians were sore from them and cried out to Pharaoh to let the people go. And for a season it would seem that reason had come into Pharaoh's mind, but El was purposed to destroy all doubt of His Lordship and the people would not be eased for their inconvenience, for they were a prideful people. They were children of their father Lucifer, and took pleasure in the lash on the people of God, and the Lord would not show mercy, for they made the people of God to work with rigor and placed heavy burdens upon them.
Therefore, the Lord turned His face away and He smote them from the sky and it rained hailstones of fire upon the nation. The hail destroyed crops and buildings, and set aflame hut and palace, and fire swept through the land for the hail that poured upon them, and there was no place safe that the people were not exposed to fire from Heaven. And it was so that El touched all manner of the people’s confidence. For they cried out to Nut, the Egyptian god of the sky, but the hail would not stop. Isis and Osiris were also invoked in their pagan rites, but the angels of Lucifer could not rescind the command of the Lord and bring the hail to stop. In time, the people’s confidence failed them, and they set upon Pharaoh to reason with the man Moses and his God. For his God made the sky to rain fire. And Pharaoh began to confess his sin, and when he did Moses spoke to God to withdraw his hand, and the Lord hearkened to his man-servant and did so, but when Pharaoh saw the hail had ceased, he hardened his heart again and refused to obey the voice of the Lord through the man Moses.
"Because he hath eaten the sin of offense and will not bow to the Almighty, and Pharaoh's king will not release him due to his pride. Therefore I will remind Pharaoh’s king of his rival and call to his remembrance the Destroyer."
The Lord then summoned locusts to come, and spoke. "Leave neither stalk, nor kernel, nor seed of grain. Go to, and let Pharaoh know that there is but one God in all the Earth."
The insects stormed Egypt upon the command of their Creator and came for every blade of grass and shaft of wheat. As a moving dark cloud, they settled across the sky of Egypt and came in swarms that they blotted out the sun, a descending consumption that lighted upon the land, a voracious army eating leaf and stalk. And lo, the infestation reigned that even within sealed containers, locusts poured out, so that all of Egypt was covered and all green in the land was peeled bare and ravished.
Enoch observed that Argoth received reports from Grigori from across the region that other nations and peoples had received word of the happenings in Egypt and were amazed that the nation had incurred such punishment, leaving the slaves of Goshen untouched. And many wondered which God they served, and had begun to fear. However, plots emerged among some that they should destroy the slaves of Goshen, and invade Egypt, and when the Lord heard this He spoke.
"Let all nations know that the God of Heaven and Earth doth hear the thoughts of all flesh, and none shall touch that which I have sworn to my servant Abraham."
The Lord then extended His hand, made a fist, and squeezed as if He was crushing a grape, and immediately, the angel Ra, who had been chief of the sun after Apollyon's fall, collapsed. For the Lord had reached out with His own hand and caused the angel’s heart stone to shatter, and Ra fell dead in front of the archons that surrounded Pharaoh, and darkness covered the realm of Egypt.
Frightened that El had slain one of their own, the court sent word to Lucifer that he should come quickly to Egypt, for El had attacked them directly and they were sore afraid also of the man Moses who stood as voice of God.
And Lucifer heeded their call and came to Egypt to behold the destruction that had been wrought by what he thought was but a man, and he spoke. "Who is this son of Adam that he stands yet alive? Why hast he not been killed? Had not I ordered that upon discovery of any child by the name of Moses that the child should be destroyed, and now what is this that I must be absent but a few moments, only to return and see that the man is alive, and brings forth ruin to my kingdom?"
Those who still held meekly to surround Pharaoh when Moses approached spoke. "He speaks with the authority of El. El hast found a man that will by faith move when bidden."
And the thing which Lucifer heard caused him to take note and he waited until Moses came to court. And when Moses arrived, Lucifer paused to kill Moses, remembering how El had come down and swept Enoch away, and Lucifer listened as Moses gave an ultimatum to Pharaoh.
Moses commanded Pharaoh once again to let his people go. And Lucifer was wroth that a man would dare raise himself to speak to the king he had set up as power in the Earth, and Lucifer provoked Pharaoh to say unto Moses, "Get thee from me, and take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt surely die."
Moses replied, "Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more. For the Lord hast spoken and said, at about midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt. And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that
is behind the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts. And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast, that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’" Moses then turned and stormed from Pharaoh's presence.
The Lord spoke unto Moses and said, "This thing is of me, for I have hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and shall bring to naught the power thereof. For Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, so that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt. For lo, I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the God’s of Egypt I will execute judgment: for I am the Lord."
Lucifer stood watch to see what El would do, for he commanded Charon, and was smug that El held no sway as the keys to death and Hell were his to control. And all of Heaven waited to see how El would bring Egypt to her knees. And about midnight the Lord Himself commanded the life of each firstborn to return to Him. And when He spoke immediately the breath of every firstborn man and beast gave up the ghost, and the breath that quickened all flesh left the bodies of each throughout the land of Egypt such that there was a great fog, for the breath of all condensed on the ground as a great glowing mist. And men ran from the fog but it was for naught for the vapors were not the vessel that snatched life away, but merely the residue of life that still echoed in the earth.
Screams, and moans from every household raised as a tumult into the air as the cries of mourning and laments filled the land of Egypt. For El was life and in Him all things lived, moved, and had their being, And when He recalled the life, the glowing fog lifted into the night sky as a pillar of light, and faded out of existence.
Enoch watched as the great cloud came as a light and shot towards him, and he and the watching Lumazi backed away, for the light lifted through the floor and poured into El's open palm. The Lord glowed, for the life of the flesh was but His own breath, and the Shekinah covered Him, that he was but a visage behind a great cloud, then the Lord spoke. "The souls of all men are mine. The life of all flesh is mine. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end."
