Rachel took a deep breath too, and then said, “What does he want with Summer?”
I stared steadily at her as the word fell out of my mouth without hesitation, “Revenge.”

Summer
I watched the man with the bald head and a dragon tattoo inked on top of his head, place the tray of food on the round dining table in the luxurious room. He was in his thirties, tall, and large all around. He might have been handsome in a rugged way if he wasn’t so hard-looking. Without a doubt he was an imposing figure, one that was intimidating just to look at.
Dressed all in black – a black silk button down shirt and black dress pants, even black loafers, he even looked like a man you didn’t want to mess with.
He turned around after picking up a bowl and a silver spoon, and faced me with his menacing dark eyes, and lifted the spoon. I closed my eyes as he got closer.
I couldn’t even move an inch. The silk ties that bound my wrist behind me on the chair, making my bust jut out and my back cramp, didn’t afford me any wiggle room to try.
“Here,” the man said in a gruff voice. “Open up.”
I shook my head, still keeping my eyes closed.
“Open up your mouth or I’ll pry it open, woman,” he said impatiently.
My eyes flew open and watch him as he took a spoonful of soup and held it out to my closed mouth.
“Look, you’ve got to eat. It’s been days, and we have to keep you alive,” he said.
I shook my head again.
“What? You’re afraid it’s poisoned?” He spooned it into his own mouth and swallowed, licking his mouth with his tongue, then opening wide to show me his empty mouth and tongue.
I kept looking at his mouth. He had a large mouth, with a wide square jaw, thick neck, and a very long tongue…so long that I had to blink to believe it. I’ve seen so many as a doctor, but this one, he looked like a komodo dragon with a tongue this long.
“What are you staring at?” the man asked.
“Oh nothing,” I said.
He spooned soup into the spoon and held it against my mouth. “Open.”
This time I did, letting the clear liquid fall into my throat. It warmed my throat and filled my belly with a hot liquid that made me feel a little better. “Oh, that was good,” I said, closing my eyes and licking my lips.
I didn’t realize how I must’ve look, like I was in ecstasy until I saw the man’s eyes go dark with desire. He cleared his throat before spooning more soup into my mouth.
Again, I closed my eyes, savoring the soup. Food had never tasted so good when you’re starving, cold, and frighten.
He stood up and placed the soup bowl to my mouth and held it up so I can drink straight from the bowl. I drank the soup, keeping my eyes on his dark ones. I drank slowly, savoring the taste, letting the warm liquid work on getting back my energy. I would need it to escape.
When I was done, he took the bowl away and placed it on the table next to him.
Then he surprised me by plopping down on my lap, his thick thighs on both sides of mine, his bulging crotch facing mine and straddled me. He moved his face towards mine and flicked out his long tongue to lick a corner of my mouth. “You missed a spot,” he said. He bent down to kiss my mouth, taking my lower lip into his and sucking on it hungrily. “You taste just as good as you look,” he said. “Keeping you alive might be worth it.”
