“Oh.”
“That said, I had a great time with you. I would love to do it again as long as there’s no strings attached. And . . . it sounds like there aren’t any.”
“No, no strings.” Matt shook his head. A shy grin formed slowly, turning Jon’s knees to water, and Matt quietly added, “Unless you call it a ‘string’ when a guy asks if you might show him a few things so he’s a little more confident in the bedroom.”
Jon laughed. “I don’t think you need much help, to be honest. If you hadn’t told me, I never would’ve guessed you were inexperienced.”
“I’ve got plenty of experience with women. Just . . . not men.”
“Apparently that’s enough, because you’re doing just fine.”
The shy grin turned to a wicked one. Dear God. “Does that mean you’d say no to offering a little guidance?”
Look at me like that again and I’ll do just about anything.
“I am absolutely not saying no.”
They held each other’s gazes, then went for their drinks, and Jon tried not to let on that he was getting hard just thinking about taking Matt to bed again. The guy didn’t need anyone to hold his hand and show him the way, but if that gave him more confidence, well . . . fuck yeah.
Jon set his drink down. “So, I’m kind of curious—you said something before about only recently figuring out you were into men. What’s that about?”
Matt stared at the table, and exhaled. “I’m a slow learner, I guess. I . . . kind of spent a long time fighting the idea, and just recently came around to it.” He lifted his gaze, meeting Jon’s. “The thing is, when you’ve spent your whole life saying you’re not something, it’s really hard to adjust to the reality that you are.”
Jon tilted his head. “You’ve spent your whole life saying you’re not?”
Nodding, Matt sighed. “Yeah, because people have always assumed I’m gay. I mean, since I was a kid. Like, a young kid.”
That wasn’t what Jon had expected to hear. Matt certainly didn’t ping any of the stereotypes that made the masses assume a man was gay. Yeah, he’d tripped Nate’s gaydar, but that was because he’d given the appearance of cruising Jon. But Nate was gay too, and knew what little nuances to look for. The population at large usually only labeled a guy as gay if he acted, dressed, or spoke in a very particular way. That was why so many people were shocked to realize Nate was married to a man, or got the deer-in-the-headlights look when Jon casually mentioned he was gay. And, admittedly, why Jon hadn’t expected Matt to be gay.
He picked up his drink. “Why did they assume that?”
Matt shrugged. “Because I wasn’t the manliest kid they’d ever seen, I guess. I liked David Bowie and George Michael, which apparently means something.” His cheeks colored like they so often did. “That was more when I was in middle school, but it started even younger than that. I kissed a boy on the playground in first grade because we were kids and we were curious. Then when I was in second grade, my brother found a photo of me and my sister playing with dolls when we were little, and circulated it around school. Kids are bastards, you know? First time I ever heard the word ‘gay’, and I was defending myself against it. I didn’t even know what sex was at that point.” He rubbed a hand over his face and sighed like the train of thought exhausted him. “Then of course any time I did anything that might be incriminating—wearing the wrong thing, liking the wrong band, looking a little too intently at a boy or a picture of a man—it all started again.”
“Kids are bastards,” Jon grumbled.
“Uh-huh. And since then, I feel like I’ve been constantly saying I’m not gay, I’m not gay, I’m not gay.”
Jon absently ran his fingers up and down his glass, grimacing at Matt’s words. “So it really did become a mantra.”
Matt exhaled. “It did. From an early, early age. And I guess I’ve been so focused on convincing everyone else I’m straight, I convinced myself too. Like, years before I’d even figured out how I felt about women, I was telling everyone—and me—that I was only into women. Wouldn’t even consider that maybe I was into men.” He laughed bitterly. “It doesn’t help that no one bothered to tell me that bisexuality was a thing until I was older. Since I knew I was attracted to women, that was it. Case closed.” He made a mock toast with his beer bottle. “Matt Huffman—heterosexual for life.”
“Wow. So, what changed?”
“Well.” Matt was quiet for a moment, then took a breath. “About a week before I met you, my ex-girlfriend—who’s like one of my best friends in the world—told me she wanted a threesome for her birthday. With me and her boyfriend. And I mean, I knew her boyfriend was bi, but they both made it clear this was about her, not him, so the whole idea was for us to be focused on her.”
A little grin tugged at Jon’s lips. “I have a feeling I know where this is going.”
Matt laughed. “Probably, yeah. It definitely caught me by surprise when it happened. I mean, one minute, he’s going down on her while she’s sucking my dick. And suddenly he’s the one sucking my dick, and I . . .” Fresh color bloomed in his face, and he avoided Jon’s eyes. “I mean, he was good. Like, really good.” He shivered. “And then I guess I got curious. And . . .” He chewed his lip.
Jon wanted to badly to slide a hand over Matt’s thigh under the table, but they were out in public, so he didn’t dare. “You don’t have to be embarrassed. Especially not with me.”
“I know. And it’s not what we did that screws with my head.” With what seemed like a lot of effort, he looked at Jon. “It’s not even the fact that it felt completely natural and perfect, or how much it turned me on. I just feel so stupid that I never knew until that moment how much I wanted to have a man’s cock in my mouth. And then I suddenly wanted everything he could give me. We . . . just got so carried away, and I wasn’t nervous or confused or scared until it was over and the dust was settling.” He sighed. “In the moment, it was perfect. Like . . . something I’d needed for ages and didn’t even know it. But after, I was like, what the fuck just happened? Which is basically what I did with you, too.”
Jon shrugged. “It makes sense, though.”
“It does?” Matt met his gaze. “How?”
“You said yourself you spent your formative years insisting you weren’t gay. You were bound to convince yourself in the process. If you’re repeating something like that like it’s a mantra, you’re probably suppressing a lot of things, you know?”
Matt nodded. “Exactly. So, now that I’m not suppressing it anymore . . .” He laughed. “I guess I kind of want to try everything.”
“Yeah, I probably would too. If you don’t mind my asking, what all did you do with him?”
“Asking out of curiosity?” Something like a grin flickered at the edges of Matt’s slim lips. “Or does the idea turn you on?”
“Both.” No shame. No hesitation.
Matt swallowed. “Well, we both blew each other. And I fucked him.”
Jon’s pulse shot up. He resisted the urge to take a deep, cold drink. “Did you?”
“Yeah. I mean, it started out with him going down on me, and I got curious, so I sucked his dick while he ate her out. I kind of thought that was as far as it would go, but then, I don’t know—he must’ve gotten really turned on by the whole thing, and the next thing I know, he’s begging me to fuck him.”
Oh dear God, was that a mental image he could get used to. Jon wasn’t into women, but he absolutely didn’t mind watching a man and a woman together. Probably a throwback to only being able to find straight porn when he was a teenager, but whatever. Matt, a woman, and another man? Fuck yes.
He shook himself. “What did she think of that?”
“She was turned on as hell.” Matt chuckled shyly. “She actually came before either of us did.”
“I believe it. Watching you fuck someone would probably make me come too.”
Matt shivered hard enough to make his jacket squeak again. God, Jon could get used to that—som
eone who got all flustered and squirmy when he talked dirty to him.
“Sounds like that was an enlightening night,” Jon said.
Matt nodded. “Uh-huh. And in the end, I learned two things that night. One, I am definitely bi. Two . . .” He laughed. “Threesomes are really complicated!”
“Yeah?” Jon chuckled. “How so?”
“Just . . . figuring out where body parts are. Keeping two people entertained. When he decided to fuck her while I was fucking him, it was like, where the hell do our legs go? How do we move?” Matt gestured in the air like he was trying to fit a complex puzzle together. “It’s probably just as well he ended up coming before we really got going. It was getting way too complicated for me.”
“What about you?” Jon did his level best to hide how much the conversation turned him on. “Did you come while you were in him?”
Matt shook his head. “No. We’d had a bit to drink, and by the time he and I even started fooling around, I’d already come twice, so . . . no.”
Jon swept his tongue across his lips. “So does that mean I’m the first guy to make you come?”
Squirming, Matt pushed out a ragged breath. “Yeah. I guess it does.”
“And I also get to be the next one.” Jon winked. “How about that?”
Matt bit his lip. If he wasn’t rock hard beneath the table, Jon would—
No. Not making any more bets. Not even if it was a sure thing. That had already quite literally bitten him in the ass once.
Though on the bright side, that ill-judged bet had ultimately led him to sitting at this table so he could arouse the hell out of a guy he otherwise wouldn’t have met.
He pushed his drink away and leaned closer. “What do you say we get the hell out of here?”
Matt nodded, wordlessly but vigorously.
Jon motioned toward the bar. “You need to close your tab?”
“No.” Matt drained his beer and put the bottle beside Jon’s glass. “Paid for.”
“Me too. Shall we?”
They made a quick escape and headed out into the parking garage.
“So.” Matt slowed down and gestured with his keys past where Jon was parked. “My car’s over there. Where are we going?”
“Well, you know where I live.”
“Closer than me.”
“So, my place?”
Matt nodded. “Yeah. I’ll follow you? Just in case I forget a turn or something?”
“Sure. Good idea.” He stopped. “This is my car, so I’ll . . .” But as Jon mentally calculated how long it would take to get from here to his condo—fifteen minutes, tops—he decided that was much too long. He damn sure wanted to get Matt out of his clothes and into bed, but as he realized the parking garage offered the privacy of a car and shadows, maybe he wasn’t in quite such a rush. Especially not in a deserted garage that had such a sharp echo that they’d hear anyone coming well before they were seen.
Matt had stopped too, and Jon stepped closer to him. Just close enough to be in his space without necessarily tipping off anyone who happened by. Dropping his voice, he said, “Do you have any objection to doing anything in public?”
Matt’s head snapped toward him, eyebrows up, but his expression wasn’t all alarm. There was a hint of curiosity in his eyes. “What do you have in mind?”
Jon halted a few feet from his car. “Maybe . . . a little warm-up?”
Matt’s eyes darted left. Then right. Apparently satisfied they were alone, and feeling just a bit bold, he narrowed the space between us. “You’ve got my attention.”
Jon slid a hand under Matt’s jacket, testing the water, and when he met no resistance, he added the other hand. Snaking them around to Matt’s back, he reeled him in. “You’ve definitely got my attention,” he purred, and kissed him.
If Matt was worried about someone catching them, he didn’t give any indication. He wrapped his arms around Jon and kissed him back, sliding his tongue under Jon’s as if he’d never once doubted his sexual prowess. Leather squeaked as their jackets protested every move they made, but otherwise, the garage was silent except for the wet sounds of lips and tongues.
Jon could’ve made out with him like this all night. He was still vigilant for anyone approaching—gay men couldn’t be too careful—but for the most part, he lost himself in Matt’s kiss and his body heat. Thank God he’d responded to that text earlier.
When they came up for air, Matt had lust written all over his face, especially in his heavy-lidded eyes. Jon was about to move in for another kiss, but he could suddenly feel some tension creeping into Matt’s posture. Matt’s eyes darted away for a second. He didn’t pull back or try to push Jon off him, but he wasn’t so relaxed now.
Jon smoothed Matt’s hair. “You’re still nervous about all this, aren’t you?”
With an uneasy laugh, Matt said, “You think?”
“Do you still want—”
“Yes.” Matt slid his hands up the front of Jon’s shirt. “I still want to do this. And when we’re done, I want to do it again.”
Oh Jesus, yes.
“Anything I can do to help with the nerves?”
Matt shrugged tightly, fingers twitching on Jon’s wrist. “I’ll get over it.”
“Probably, but . . .” Jon cupped Matt’s face and turned him so they were facing each other in the darkness. “Tell you what. We’ll start here.” He leaned closer, just enough to let their lips brush, and whispered, “Anything you want. I’ll suck your dick right there in my car if it’s what you want.”
Matt whimpered softly, fingers gathering handfuls of Jon’s shirt.
“And if you want to stop,” Jon murmured, “just say the word.”
“Oh fuck,” Matt panted. “You serious about . . . about in the car?”
“As a heart attack.” Jon cupped Matt’s groin, and the resulting groan made him shiver. “I live fifteen minutes from here, and I don’t want to wait that long to—”
Matt silenced him with a long, hungry kiss. He rocked his hips forward, grinding his erection into Jon’s palm. Abruptly, he pulled back. “Car.”
Jon nodded. They separated and got into the front of Jon’s car. The backseat might’ve been more comfortable, but the front was slightly less conspicuous if someone walked by. Which made sense in his mind for all of two seconds, but by the time it dawned on him that the windows would fog them up and give them away, they were already in the car, so fuck it.
As soon as the doors were shut, Matt met him in the middle, and they started kissing again like they’d been apart for months.
“Any time,” Jon whispered between kisses as he pulled down Matt’s zipper. “Say the word, and we’ll stop.”
“Got it,” Matt breathed. They kissed again as they worked to get his pants open, and when Jon wrapped his fingers around that thick cock, they both moaned. Jon stroked a few times, but couldn’t wait another second.
He broke the kiss.
Bent over the console.
Closed his lips around Matt’s cock.
And Matt didn’t tell him to stop.
Chapter 12
Matt owed Lisa big time. If not for her, he never would’ve had the balls to get back in contact with Jon, and if he hadn’t sent that text, he wouldn’t be wandering around with this stupid grin on his face. After a solid week of spending nearly every night in Jon’s bed, his body was sore in places he’d forgotten he had, but it was so worth it.
It wasn’t like everything in his life had magically turned perfect overnight. His car was still making noises it probably shouldn’t. His bank account was still pathetic. His calendar at the shop was still woefully bare.
But he felt better. Getting laid that often and that well was definitely a check in the “shit that’s going right” column. At the very least, it was a welcome distraction from the fact that his car was due for its state inspection in a few months and probably wouldn’t pass unless the mystery problem was fixed. That wasn’t going to happen until something changed in his ban
k account, which wouldn’t happen until he filled up his calendar.
He sighed. Way to dampen his own spirits. Nothing like money problems to make a man go limp.
His phone vibrated, and the message on the screen made him grin again.
You have any idea what it’s like sitting in a jet after getting fucked like that?
He actually didn’t have a clue what it was like. Since . . . he’d never been fucked. And now that Jon brought it up, he was curious.
Do tell. ;-)
He wasn’t just curious about how it felt to sit in a jet. He was really curious what it felt like to be fucked. Derek had obviously enjoyed it. Jon loved it. The guys in the pornos Matt had watched sure didn’t seem to mind. His last girlfriend had begged him for it at times, and she didn’t even have that mythical male G-spot. So, there must’ve been something to bottoming, right?
There was a sex shop down the road from Skin Deep, and he’d paid it a visit one night while Jon was out with the squadron. The toy he’d picked out was fairly small—thanks to both caution and his budget—and he’d enjoyed playing around with that. So how much different would it be with a cock? Especially a very substantial cock?
He was bound and determined to find out. It had taken him a few nights to work up the nerve to ask Jon to top him, though. Okay, it wasn’t entirely that he had to work up the nerve. The third or fourth night, he’d been all set to bring it up, but as soon as he was in bed with Jon, he decided it could wait because he just had to get inside Jon like now.
There were some nerves, too. He’d read about it. He’d used that toy with generous amounts of lube. And after trying it? Yeah. He wanted it. Tonight.
So before Jon responded to his text, he steeled himself and wrote, Why don’t you show me what it feels like tonight?
Jon started typing. Stopped. Started again. Then, You saying you want to bottom tonight?
Matt’s heart pounded. He was nervous, but yes. Yes, he wanted it.
Yes.
I’ll be right over.
Matt laughed nervously. Jon had been heading out the door anyway, but those four words told him exactly what he wanted to hear.
