Giving Birth To Mr White's Baby (BWWM Interracial Romance) Page 7

by J A Fielding

Her eyes got watery as she looked at the contents of the envelope. Her father and grandmother had given her the one thing she had always wanted ever since she was a little girl: a princess trip to the Maldives. There was a hotel there that would literally give you a royal treatment beginning with a horseback ride from the airport, a lavish meal serviced by the “squires” and a royal ball on your final night. She had always said that she would go for the royal treatment but as a child she had no idea how she would ever come up with twenty thousand dollars all for a three day hotel stay however special the experience would have been.

“Nan, this cost a fortune,” Natasha said as a tear rolled down her cheek. Estelle shook her head.

“Never mind that,” Estelle said looking at her.

  “Wait, Alexis…” Natasha suddenly protested.

“….do you know how many of us are dying to spend the next three days with Alexis?” Estelle asked cutting her short. “After all, this little girl will be off to school soon. We need to get her out of your protective shadow,” she said looking at Alexis and then back at Natasha.

“Now, blow out this damned candle before it gets the wax all over my perfect chocolate cake,” she said pointing at the cake on the table. “Make a wish,” Estelle said in a whisper. Natasha looked around and smiled.

“I already have everything I could ever wish for,” she said before she blew the candle out. After everyone had their share of cake, Estelle took a few of Alexis’s clothes and packed them in a bag. She then went to the kitchen and took out all the milk bottles that were in there before she finally walked back to the living room. “Wait, we are leaving now?” Natasha asked looking at Estelle carrying Alexis’s bag. Mitchell smiled and nodded.

“You’ve been through too much lately. You need the time off,” he said as he draped an arm around her. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.

“This is all so sudden,” she said in a whisper as Stacy, Mona and Stacy gave her a group hug.

“You need to get away,” Mona said with a smile. “Plus, we will all be here with Alexis and Marcus is helping out,” she added. Natasha smiled. Eric was next. He walked towards her and kissed her forehead before giving her a hug.

“Have fun,” he said before he finally let go.

“Thanks Daddy. I will,” she said. Finally, Estelle walked over holding the baby. Alexis was as jumpy as ever and had not the first clue of what was happening. Natasha took her briefly and held her tightly for a minute. “God, I can’t believe I have to spend three whole days away from her. I’ve never been away that long,” she said as she handed her back to Estelle.

“Sometimes I think God made friends and families for such situations,” Estelle said making Natasha laugh. She looked up and noticed that Marcus and the girls were already outside and Eric and Mitchell were engaged in a heavy chat, too busy to notice them. “Listen, I know you feel guilty and everything but remember, you are not your mother. You are taking a holiday. If anything, we are forcing it down your throat without giving any regards to whether you have a gag reflex,” Estelle said with a smile. “You are your father’s daughter. You would never be that woman,” she added looking into Natasha’s eyes. Natasha sighed with relief. It was as if Estelle had read her mind. Her biggest fear was making mistakes with Alexis, the same mistakes her mother made with her. Being a neglectful mother was something she promised herself she would never become.

“Go have fun and don’t feel guilty about it,” Estelle said as they walked towards the door.

“Rita and Marcus already packed up the car. See you in a few days,” Eric said as he and Estelle walked to the car. Stacy and Mona had already driven off. Mona was at that moment pulling out of the driveway. Mitchell put his arm around her

“So we get to spend a whole three days away. It’s just like when we met. Just me and you,” he said as they waved goodbye to Eric, Estelle and Mona. “Maybe we should have some quick celebratory sex before we leave,” he said as he pulled her in and pinned her against the door. She shook her head and pushed him away.

“Remember what happened yesterday? The meeting? And I want to go to the Maldives. We can have celebratory sex there,” she said as she kicked off her shoes. He looked at her and nodded.

“That flight cannot be in the air fast enough, because this guy also wants some royal treatment,” he said as he pulled her against him again. She smiled. This holiday could not have come at a better time.
