Susannah Hayden is the pen name of versatile and gifted author Susan Martins Miller, who writes fiction and biographies for both adults and children. She is a wife and a mother of two, who works in publishing and lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Yvonne Lehman lives in the mountains of western North Carolina, which provide the setting for many of her novels. She is a bestselling and award-winning author of over forty books, including mainstream, inspirational romance, mystery, the White Dove series for young adults, and the widely acclaimed In Shady Groves, reprinted by Guideposts as Gomer in their Women of the Bible series. Yvonne was founder and director of the Blue Ridge Christian Writers Conference for seventeen years until 1993. She now plans and directs the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference for Lifeway/Ridgecrest Conference Center.

Colleen L. Reece was born and raised in a small western Washington logging town. She learned to read by kerosene lamplight and dreamed of someday writing a book. God has multiplied Colleen’s “someday” book into more than 140 titles that have sold six million copies. Colleen was twice voted Heartsong Presents’ Favorite Author and later inducted into Heartsong’s Hall of Fame. Several of her books have appeared on the CBA Bestseller list.

In first grade, Janet Spaeth was asked to write a summary of a story about a family making maple syrup. She wrote all during class, through morning recess, lunch, and afternoon recess, and asked to stay after school. When the teacher pointed out that a summary was supposed to be shorter than the original story, Janet explained that she didn’t feel the readers knew the characters well enough, so she was expanding on what was in the first-grade reader. Thus a writer was born. She lives in the Midwest and loves to travel, but to her, the happiest word in the English language is home.
