“What are you thinking so hard about?” she demanded, pulling his hair to get his attention.
“Thinking about how beautiful you are.”
She snorted. “Yeah, right.”
“Really. I was thinking the only thing better than being here with you right now is being in you right now.”
Savanna rolled her eyes and pulled him down to her for a kiss. He deepened it, and soon they were back to mutual groping. She ran her hands up under his shirt and played with his nipples. He did the same with hers. She made a whimpering sound and tried to pull his shirt over his head, but she was too short. He bent over to give her better access. She managed to pull the shirt off without falling. They stopped and looked at each other and laughed. They each began taking off their shoes and pants. Since he didn’t have on underwear, it took her longer to undress than it did him.
“No fair, I have more clothes to take off than you do.”
“I didn’t realize we were racing to get undressed.”
She didn’t answer him. Instead, she pushed him until the back of his knees hit the edge of the bed and he fell backward. She followed him down and grasped his cock with both hands. He stilled immediately when he would have tried to stand back up. She smiled and squeezed, then released and went to her knees between his legs.
“Damn.”
He couldn’t say anything more because she licked her lips and proceeded to lick his cock like a lollypop, one long stroke after another. One hand reached between his legs and found his balls. They cupped and gently rolled them as she began to place soft, openmouthed kisses along the stalk of his penis. She sucked with each kiss until he was pushing against her mouth every time she did it. When she reached the mushroom head, he expected her to kiss it, as well, but instead, she ran her tongue all around the cap and then over the slit, dipping inside until he grasped her head in both hands and held her still. God, he couldn’t take much more.
She didn’t move, only waited until he relaxed to lick the head again, and then before he knew what she planned to do, she had swallowed him whole, right down to his balls. When she stopped, he struggled not to push her farther down. The weight of her long, thick hair rested on his chest and abdomen. It felt like heavy silk draped across him. He wanted to hold her head still while he pumped upward into her mouth. Instead, he waited, and she swallowed, milking him as her throat muscles contracted around him.
“Fuck!”
She moved back from his balls, sucking all the way back up and then went right back down. She rolled his balls and pinched at the skin behind. He lost the need to come that had been building with each stroke of her mouth. It didn’t last for long, though. As soon as she released it and began moving on his cock again, the need rose fast and furious. He grasped her hair and pulled her off him. He couldn’t take it anymore. He needed to be inside her, but first, he wanted her to be ready for him.
He stood up and pulled her to her feet at the same time. Her eyes were heavy with need just as he was sure his were by now. He smiled and pushed her back on the bed. She went willingly with a smile. He dropped to his knees between her legs this time. She spread them without needing to be told. Using one finger, he trailed it all around her mound. Dustin teased her pussy with his tongue. Never really delving inside, just licking around the outside until she was trying to chase his tongue with her pussy. He spread the lips and ran his tongue from the bottom to the top but stopped just short of touching her clit. She moaned and whimpered.
The hood over it stood out, seeming to want to be licked. He licked all around it but resisted the little nudges she kept making in that direction. Finally, she grabbed his hair and demanded he suck her clit. It was what he had been waiting to hear. As soon as she let go of him, he sucked it inside his mouth and flicked his tongue over and over it until she screamed. He stopped and waited for her to catch her breath then started it all over again. Just when she was about to explode, he stopped and stood up. She stared up at him with a question in her eyes. He stooped over to fetch a condom from his jeans pocket and slipped it on.
Dustin flipped her over and put her on her hands and knees. Then he wet the end of his cock with her pussy juices and pushed. She groaned and pushed back against him until he entered her just a little bit. He stopped and pulled out and did it again. She grew wild with need, and still he stopped just short of fully entering her. He wanted her begging. He didn’t have to wait long.
“Please,” Savanna cried.
“Please what?” he asked.
“Fuck me. I can’t stand it anymore. Fuck me, Dustin.”
He smiled, and grabbing her hips, he thrust inside her. It took two times, but he finally managed to push all the way inside. He stilled for a few precious seconds until he could regain control of himself. Then he began a slow, steady rhythm that grew more and more out of control as he went. He wanted it to last, but it wasn’t going to. He was going to lose it any minute now. He wanted her to come before he did. He reached around beneath her and found her clit with his fingers. He pinched it, and she screamed as she climaxed. He followed behind her with his own shout of release.
It seemed to go on forever. He couldn’t remember ever coming so hard or so long. When it was over, he collapsed to the bed on top of her. She groaned and pushed at him. Dustin chuckled and rolled off her.
“Sorry.”
“Fine.”
They were at one-word sentences they were so exhausted. He ran a hand up and down her back as he fought to catch his breath. The more he managed to get his breathing under control, the sleepier he got. He needed to get up and dispose of the condom before he fell asleep. Dustin moaned as he rolled to his knees and then stepped off the bed. He took care of the condom and cleaned up then returned to bed to find the covers turned down and Savanna curled up asleep on one side of the bed. He crawled into bed beside her and pulled her back against him. The comforter nearly covered her mouth, so he tucked it under her chin and resigned himself to having a cold upper chest and back.
The last thing he thought about before he fell asleep was how good she felt in his arms and that she had the cutest little snore.

Savanna woke up alone in bed. Dustin had done it again. He had gotten up in the night and left her alone. She sighed and rubbed her face. Oh, well. It wasn’t like they were a couple or anything. They were just screwing. Instead of letting it bother her, she climbed out of bed and walked to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and climbed in as soon as the water warmed up. When the shower curtain suddenly pulled back, she screamed.
“Hey, it’s just me,” Dustin said. “I brought you some coffee.”
“God, you scared me to death!” Savanna put both hands up to her throat and chest, willing her heart to slow down to a fast trot.
He reached out with the coffee, and she took the cup and a quick sip before he removed it again.
“I’ll sit it out here on the counter for you. Breakfast will be ready in another fifteen minutes.” Then he was gone.
Sheesh, he had scared the crap out of her. So he hadn’t left after all. Savanna hurried through her shower and dressed. She walked into the kitchen with her nearly empty coffee cup in hand. Dustin stood at the stove, cooking an omelet. He smiled at her and pointed to the island for her to have a seat. Savanna poured another cup of coffee and sat down.
“Good morning. How did you sleep?” he asked.
“Great. What about you?”
“Good. Are you hungry?”
Savanna nodded and took another sip of her coffee. She watched him cut the omelet in half and place a half on each plate. Then he opened the oven and pulled out a pan with toast on it. He sat a piece on each plate. He handed her one of the plates and took the other to sit across from her and began eating.
“This is good,” Savanna said.
“Thanks. It’s one of the few things I can cook.”
“So no gourmet meals, huh.”
“Nope, sorry.” He grinned at her and took a bite
of toast.
Once they were finished, he helped her wash and dry the dishes. She put them away as he finished dressing.
“Do you have plans for today?” he asked.
“Other than checking in with Karen, not really.”
“I have some things I need to take care of today, but I thought we might watch some movies tonight if you want to.”
“Yeah, that sounds like fun. I’ll cook since you made breakfast this morning,” Savanna offered.
“Great, I’ll be back around six. How does that sound?” Dustin asked.
“Sounds like a plan.”
Dustin opened his arms, and she walked into them. He hugged her tight and then kissed her.
“I’ve got to go now. I’ll see you later.”
Savanna watched him leave. She let herself relive their night together then turned her attention to Karen and what was going on with her friend. Instead of calling her, she decided to go see her. She hadn’t returned any of her calls so far. She grabbed her purse and car keys and locked the door behind her.
She worried about Karen all the way to her apartment. Why hadn’t she called her back? She parked next to Karen’s car, so she knew her friend was home. She knocked on the door and waited. After a few minutes, the door opened, and Karen’s blotchy, red face and swollen eyes peeked from around the door.
“Oh, honey. Why didn’t you answer my calls? I’ve been so worried about you.” Savanna pushed past her friend and closed the door behind her.
“Well, come on in,” Karen said sarcastically. “Make yourself at home.”
Savanna stopped and turned around to look at Karen. “What’s going on? Why are you angry with me?”
“I’m sorry.” Karen covered her face with her hands and started crying again.
“Come sit down and tell me what’s wrong. There is something going on besides you and Ben breaking up, isn’t there.”
“I don’t know what I’m going to do? Martin is threatening to fire me.” She wiped her hands on her jeans.
“What in the hell for? You practically run his office and do all the work on his projects.” Savanna couldn’t believe the lowlife would actually fire her.
“He says I screwed up an important client’s file, and the client was threatening to take his business somewhere else.”
“Is he still trying to get you to continue your affair with him?” Savanna asked.
“Yes. He says I’m just upset over my breakup with Ben. He says it’s all for the better, and there is no reason we can’t continue like we were.”
“He’s using this problem that has come up with the client to blackmail you, Karen. You know he is.”
“I know, but I don’t know what to do about it. I don’t want to lose my job, Savanna. I’m good at it. I know I didn’t make a mistake, but he won’t even let me see what he’s talking about.”
“Do you keep copies of what you do here?”
“Yes, and I’ve gone through everything this weekend for the project and can’t find anything that looks out of place. I just know this is all a big blowup over nothing.”
“Do you have any idea who the client is? Maybe you could contact him personally and assure him you didn’t do anything on purpose.”
“I don’t know which one it might be. We worked on five different projects over the last few months.” Karen shook her head. Tears escaped again.
“Don’t worry about it. We’ll come up with something. That bastard isn’t going to get away with this.” Savanna sighed. Then an idea occurred to her.
“We need to get evidence of him having an affair with you. Then you would have some leverage against him. He isn’t going to risk his job with a scandal.”
“I’m not going to sleep with him so we can get some dirty pictures!” Karen growled.
“You shouldn’t have to, honey. We just need some incriminating ones. You can go along with him to a certain extent to get the pressure off of you—lull him into a false sense of security that he has you indebted to him. Then we will get our proof, and that should stop him from firing you.”
“I hope so. I don’t know what I’m going to do if I lose this job. I won’t be able to get another job like this. He’ll blackball me.” Karen ran a hand through her hair.
“Stop worrying about it, and let’s get you cleaned up. We’ll go out for lunch and make our plans.”
“I really don’t feel much like going out. Let’s just have a salad here. I have plenty for both of us.”
“Go jump in the shower, and I’ll throw it together,” Savanna said.
She watched Karen disappear into the bedroom, and a few minutes later, the shower turned on. This was bad. She didn’t want to sound worried since Karen was already upset, but she wasn’t sure blackmailing her boss was going to work. Getting incriminating evidence without Karen actually having to sleep with him was going to be next to impossible.
Savanna sighed and walked into the kitchen. There were dirty dishes in the sink, which wasn’t like her friend at all. She was one of the cleanest people Savanna had ever known. She washed the dishes while turning everything over and over in her mind, trying to come up with possible scenarios. By the time she had the salads ready, she had a couple of possibilities. She was just about to go looking for Karen when she walked into the kitchen looking much better, though still gaunt with red-rimmed eyes.
“I wasn’t sure which dressing you wanted, so I didn’t put it on the salad.” Savanna indicated the two bottles of dressing sitting out on the counter.
“Doesn’t matter, either one would have been fine.” Karen still didn’t sound like her old self.
“Have you talked to Ben at all since you two split?” She hated to bring it up, but she still thought they were great together.
“No, I don’t think he wants to hear from me. I didn’t exactly leave on good terms,” she said.
“He loves you, doesn’t he?”
“Well, he did.” Karen fiddled with her salad.
“I think you love him, too.” Savanna didn’t look at her friend.
She hoped talking about Ben would take her mind off the job worries. Plus, she wanted to see how Karen really felt about him. Karen needed someone to care about her to get through this. She knew she had Savanna on her side, but she’d never gotten close to anyone else.
“I don’t know. Some days I think I do. Then, other days, I’m not sure.” Karen bit her lip. “I really screwed up, didn’t I?”
“Maybe not. You could still try to go back to him. Tell him you’re sorry and that you were just feeling pressured—needed some space to think things through.”
“I don’t think he will ever forgive me, Savanna. I’m not sure I could forgive him if it were him that acted like I did.”
They ate their salads in silence. At least Savanna did. Karen played with hers more than she ate. She could tell her friend was thinking about Ben and what she had done. She wished things had been different. Maybe she should have caught on to what was going on sooner. They were best friends. She thought they knew everything about each other. Had she failed Karen?
Savanna spent the rest of the afternoon with Karen talking about how to set her boss up and what it would take to have a hold over him. By the time Savanna left, they had a tentative plan all laid out.
Savanna made it home with just enough time to put dinner on before Dustin knocked on the door. She wiped her hands on the dish towel and answered it. As soon as she opened it, Dustin pulled her into his arms and kissed her.
“Wow, what was that for?” she asked once she caught her breath.
“Just because.” Dustin flicked her nose with a finger and walked into the kitchen. “What do I smell? It smells delicious.”
“Chicken casserole. Nothing fancy, though. I spent all afternoon with Karen. She’s really upset over some things.”
“Did you need to call off our movies tonight?” he asked.
“No, she’s better. It’s nice of you to offer, though.” She was surprised he
understood how she felt about her friend. Most men didn’t have a clue.
“So, did you take care of your business?” Savanna checked the casserole. It wouldn’t be long now.
While she readied the rolls for the oven once the chicken was ready, Dustin opened some wine.
“You know, you wouldn’t have been able to get in touch with me if you had wanted to put off tonight. You don’t have my phone numbers. Where is your phone? I’ll program my numbers in.”
Savanna hesitated. Was this turning into something too close to a relationship? She didn’t want it to come to that so soon. She was enjoying his company, and the sex was unbelievable. No, he was right. They did need each other’s phone numbers in case something came up and they had to cancel a date. She smiled, retrieved her phone from her purse, and handed it to him.
“If I remember correctly, you already have my phone numbers.” Both her home and her cell phone numbers were with the same company and would have been on the bill.
He had the audacity to grin at that. “Yep, already in my phone.”
Savanna shook her head at him and pulled the casserole out of the oven. She popped the rolls in. It shouldn’t take more than ten minutes for them to get ready. They could eat and then start the movies. What movies? He hadn’t brought anything in with him. She only had a few movies she’d already seen. Hmm, maybe that meant he didn’t plan to watch any. She was good with that.
* * * *
Dustin punched in his home and cell numbers in Savanna’s phone. He hadn’t missed that she hesitated to give him her phone. Why was that? Did she think he would snoop through her numbers? Maybe she wasn’t sure about them as a couple. Then it hit him. He saw them as a couple. He wanted more than just sex from her. When had that happened? They’d only been seeing each other for a couple of days.
