“Please…!”
Renee bucked her hips, grinding herself down onto Stefan’s hand. He flattened his palm against her body and then slid a second finger deep within her. Renee’s mouth fell open into a silent ‘O’. Her eyes fluttered – and then suddenly she was crashing over the edge and tumbling blissfully into a dark void, as small flashes of colored light exploded behind her eyes. Her body convulsed, her hips writhing against the pressure of Stefan’s palm, and the thrill rippled through her until her legs went suddenly weak and she had to slump against Stefan’s chest for support.
She was panting – ragged breaths of release and relief. Stefan could feel the racing beat of her heart and he held her gently, and stroked her hair. Renee shuddered again as the lingering sensations of her orgasm began to melt and then finally fade. She sighed contentedly.
“Better?” Stefan murmured. There was a soft smile on his lips.
“Yes,” Renee said quietly. “For now…”
She looked up into his eyes and then kissed him again, this time more gently, her own need no longer urgent. “But when we get back from Bishop’s Bridge, I’m going to want more. You can’t start something like that without intending to finish the task, Stefan.”
Renee smiled, but the curl at the corner of her lips was sly and seductive. Her hand drifted down lightly to rub at the hardened bulge within Stefan’s trousers.
Stefan held his breath and closed his eyes. Then he felt Renee moving, and for an instant he thought she was falling. His eyes flew open in a split-second of fear and alarm – and then he realized she was lowering herself down onto the edge of the mattress, her free hand at his hips, dragging him with her.
“Come to me,” she whispered. “Remember how you used me for this kind of pleasure all the time?”
“I remember,” Stefan said. His voice was tight with the effort of restraint.
Renee pressed her hand against the hardened heat of him. “Well sometimes I miss that. I miss the way you used to take me for your pleasure and the way you disciplined me when I was a naughty girl. I miss the way you looked at me, Stefan – and I miss being on my knees obeying your commands.”
Stefan frowned. “I thought we were happy…?”
“We are,” Renee’s laugh tinkled lightly. “I’m just saying that sometimes I need to be reminded of the man I was attracted to. Now you’re attractive to me in so many different ways, but sometimes I wish you would let yourself go and act on impulse. There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of animal lust once in a while. You don’t always have to be in control of your instincts.”
As they had talked, Renee had drawn him closer to the bed. She leaned forward and licked her lips.
“Renee… it’s not necessary…”
She looked up at him and tilted her head to the side curiously. “Really?” She rubbed him again and reached for the buckle of his trousers, and then she giggled playfully as his manhood leaped and clenched. “I think it is.”
She drew down his zipper and stroked the hot hardened shaft in her hand. Her fingers grazed the sensitive skin, feeling the veins and ridges of his length, and her tongue flicked out to lick at the engorged swollen bulge of his erection. She made a soft happy sound in the back of her throat, pressing her lips against the warmth of his flesh and humming so a tiny tremor of vibrations made him tingle.
Despite himself, Stefan drew in an urgent breath. Renee’s other hand reached down and cupped the weight of him in her palm as she lightly stroked the swollen shaft. Then she licked her lips with wanton enthusiasm and opened her mouth.
Renee took Stefan all the way between her wide open lips until she felt the tip of him pressing against the back of her throat. She held him there for a moment, becoming accustomed again to the size of him and then began to massage the underside of his shaft with the flattened roughness of her tongue. Stefan screwed his eyes tightly shut, standing before her with his legs spread and his fists tightly bunched as the sensations began to overwhelm him.
It had been too long.
Renee parted her legs and drew him closer to her. Her mouth began to slide up and down his length, coating it slick and slippery, and leaving a faint smudge of her lipstick. When only the swollen crown of him was between her lips, her tongue began to flicker in frenzied little circles, and her eyes began to water. She looked up – saw the fierce clench of Stefan’s jaw and the way his body was tensed – and she groaned so that the vibrations of the sound added to his pleasure.
Stefan’s release began as a warm simmering sensation that grew quickly, burning like fire as Renee’s mouth sucked and slid faster and faster up and down his length. He looked down at her bobbing head, the bouncing golden tangle of her hair, and then finally he could resist not a moment longer. He buried his hands in her curls, clenching tight so that his fingers clamped around the shape of her head – holding her face still and beginning to thrust and buck his hips.
Renee’s mouth seemed to melt. He felt the tension ease from her body and she became malleable to him; giving herself joyously to become what he wanted – what he needed.
Stefan grunted, his eyes sparkling and darkening almost to black. Memories and long-forgotten instincts rose in his mind as he began to work himself deeper inside Renee’s mouth. Renee heard him growl lustily and her own eyes widened in delight. The change in him was miraculous. Gone was all the hesitation and reluctance. Gone was all the mannered caution and the protective concern.
Her Master was back!
Just when she thought he was on the brink of his release, Stefan suddenly withdrew himself from her mouth. Renee licked her lips; the taste of him was on her tongue and her lips were soft and puffy from the way he had used her.
“Stroke me!” he demanded, and her hand went to the last few inches of his length, fluttering quickly like a shuttle on a loom, faster and faster, her grip firm and practiced.
“Open your mouth!”
Renee obeyed instantly. She licked her lips again and then her tongue came out of her mouth in anticipation. She guided Stefan towards her and waited for the first hot gush of his seed.
For long seconds nothing seemed to happen. Stefan’s legs began to tremble, and he came up onto his toes. His body felt on fire. The delayed sensation was a few moments of exquisite pleasurable pain – and then suddenly he was growling and erupting and shuddering all in the same orgasmic instant.
Renee felt the warm flood across her tongue and her chin and her cheek as Stefan erupted once, and then once more. She took him deep inside her mouth and clamped her lips tight until the last of Stefan’s pulsing tremors had subsided and he was finally still. Then she looked up into his eyes. His face was contorted, his breath sawed across his throat. She waited until he was looking down at her, and then she let him slide from between her lips and began to scoop the spill of his orgasm from her chin and suck it provocatively off her fingers and into her mouth.
Stefan reeled away, slumped against a wall. He was breathing hard, but the blaze of passion was gone from his eyes now.
“Are you all right?” he asked softly. “I wasn’t too rough was I?”
Renee sighed contentedly and smiled. “Not at all,” she said. “In fact you reminded me of something I thought I was in danger of forgetting.”
Stefan tidied his clothes and looked up, his expression curious. “What was that?”
“How much I love my husband,” Renee admitted, “…and how desperately I still need my man and my Master.”
Two.
They drove to Bishop’s Bridge in sunshine, warm light filtering through the treetops and dappling shadows across the grey tarmac. Renee sat with her hands in her lap, watching the road ahead and Stefan stole glances at her as he set the car into a series of winding curves through the forest. There was a soft happy smile on her lips.
“You’ll need a new car,” Stefan said.
Renee nodded and smiled into his face. “A station wagon?”
“Or maybe an SUV.”
Renee frown
ed. “I don’t like those things. I’d feel like I was driving an armored truck.”
Stefan made a face. “Safety, Renee. Think about baby Storm. Don’t you want all the protection you can get when you’re driving? There are too many accidents on the road not to ignore the possibility.”
Renee frowned again. She shrugged, and Stefan decided to let the subject go. He’d already decided on updating Renee’s little hatchback to an SUV, but he sensed this wasn’t the time to make the matter an issue. He turned the discussion to happier matters.
“So… do you know what you want to buy when we reach the baby store?”
Suddenly Renee was more animated. She rested one hand on her stomach and patted softly. “Well all the magazine articles publish these long lists of baby essentials. It’s mind-numbing, and I don’t really know what’s necessary and what’s not. I’m hoping there will be someone at the store to help me.”
Stefan nodded thoughtfully. “We also need to think about what you want in the downstairs family room. Once I finish painting this afternoon, it will be ready to furnish.”
Renee smiled again. “At last.”
The previous months had been a nightmare of insurance companies, tradesmen, tools and timber. Apart from needing the front room re-built after Larry Madden had broken into the home, Stefan and Master Peter had also labored for long hours to dismantle the downstairs discipline room, and convert the bedroom Tink had lived in into a nursery.
The house smelled of timber and fresh paint, but at last, Renee sensed the upheaval was all coming to an end. Finally their lives were settling down.
And not a moment too soon. She knew that the next three months leading up to the birth of the baby would be filled with their own anxieties… and nervous anticipation.
The nursery was a wonder of white and pink; soft plush curtains across the picture windows and delicate borders around the walls. The entire room had been remodeled, and Stefan had spent endless hours each evening sanding and staining the dark timber doors of the wardrobe and skirting boards. All that was missing was a cradle and clothes.
The downstairs room was like a huge cave without the bondage and discipline equipment to fill it. Peter and Stefan had fitted two windows to the eastern wall and re-built the staircase. Now it only needed a final coat of paint and their house would be a home again.
The sudden changing sound of the car’s engine brought Renee’s drifting thoughts back into focus. She looked up, saw houses, and was surprised to see they were driving into Bishop’s Bridge. She smiled to herself again, and realized with a tiny shock that she was happier than she had ever been in her life. She reached out for Stefan’s hand and held it tightly until he parked the car on Weaver Street.
“What are you smiling about?” Stefan quizzed her as they got out of the car.
“Smiling? I didn’t realize – ”
“You’ve been smiling to yourself ever since we left home.”
“Really?” Renee shrugged. “Well I guess that means I must be happy, Stefan.”
“About what? About shopping for baby clothes?” Personally, Stefan could think of nothing more painful.
“About everything.” Now Renee grinned openly at him, her face lighting up with a glow of true joy. She kissed him softly on the lips and gazed up into his eyes. “I’m just happy – about the baby, about how good things are between us – about our future. I’m happy about life.”
Stefan raised a mocking eyebrow, but he squeezed her fingers a little more tightly as they walked hand-in-hand towards the baby store.
He was smiling too.
Three.
The baby store was at the far end of Weaver Street. They entered the front doors and Stefan blinked.
The store was much larger than he had thought, laid out with aisles of children’s clothes, accessories and equipment. The floors gleamed, the store hummed with activity, and in the background soft music played. Renee smiled.
There was a cashier’s counter against the far wall. A young girl greeted them.
“Can I help you?”
“I hope so,” Renee said. “We’re expecting a baby, and we need some assistance.”
The girl nodded. She had long dark hair and pale perfect skin. “Kari Kuechenmeister is the owner. I’ll page her for you.”
They waited holding hands for just a minute before a lady with long flowing chestnut hair appeared from between one of the aisles. Stefan guessed the woman was in her early thirties. She had a wide friendly smile and a vivacious sparkle in her eyes. She grinned at Renee and Stefan, and shook hands.
“Hi,” the lady said. “I’m Kari. Welcome to ‘Baby’s World’. How can I help you?”
“We’re first-time parents,” Renee said, her hand subconsciously going to the bump of her belly. “And we need some assistance. We’ve just finished converting a room into a nursery and we need to start gathering the things for when baby comes.”
Kari Kuechenmeister smiled again. She had dazzling white teeth and a calm confident manner that Renee found reassuring.
“Do you know whether you’re expecting a boy or a girl?”
“A girl,” Stefan said.
Kari clapped her hands. “Wonderful! Have you chosen a name?”
Renee nodded. “Storm.”
“Oh, gosh – what a great name. I have two girls and a boy myself,” Kari said. She gestured towards a small timber frame on a shelf behind the cashier’s counter. Inside the frame was a photo of three smiling teenagers hugging a German shepherd. Then Kari linked her arm in Renee’s and led her like a big sister towards the first aisle of the store.
For Stefan, shopping for baby clothes was worse than having teeth pulled without anesthetic. He lasted just five minutes before his eyes began to glaze over. Renee and the storeowner were chatting like old friends, and he wandered along behind the women, his thoughts elsewhere until they stopped abruptly in front of a display of strollers.
“The stroller I really wanted to show you has sold out,” Kari pointed to a gap in the display. “It’s our bestseller.”
Renee frowned. “Will you be getting more in?”
Kari held up her hand and crossed her fingers. “Hopefully later today. There is a delivery truck due this afternoon.”
Renee glanced at Stefan. Stefan shrugged, but he trusted the lady. “Can we order one?”
“Sure…” Kari said slowly, “but I’d rather you see what you’re buying.”
“Then I’ll come back,” Renee said suddenly, with a little frown of determination. “I wanted to get my hair done later today anyhow. I’ll call in again this afternoon after I’m done at the hairdressers. Can you hold one for me?”
Kari smiled. “It would be a pleasure.”
Four.
Jeffrey met them at the door, his tail thrashing from side to side as he panted and nuzzled against Renee’s leg. The Labrador followed her into the nursery, attached to her side like a shadow, and dropped to the carpet with his head on his paws as Renee sat on the edge of the small bed and began unpacking parcels. Stefan went through to the garage and reversed Renee’s car out into the driveway. He came into the nursery and handed her the keys.
The bed was covered in new baby clothes. There were tiny pink jump suits, bibs, booties, t-shirts and two baby blankets. Stefan shook his head in disbelief – but knew enough to remain silent. He watched the warm smile of Renee’s face slowly spread wider as she hugged the miniature pieces of clothing to her cheek, and there were happy tears welled in her eyes.
Stefan stood over her and put his hand on her shoulder. “You’re going to make a wonderful mother,” he said.
Renee shuddered softly. “I hope so,” she bit her lip. “I worry…”
“I think that’s perfectly normal. I’m sure no first-time mother feels fully prepared to care for a newborn baby. But everyone manages, and I’m sure we will too,” Stefan said.
“There’s just so much I feel unprepared for, Stefan!” Renee fluttered her hands in frustration. “I do
n’t know anything about babies. I’ve never really been around them. I’ve never been an aunty… I’ve never really even held a baby before, let alone been responsible for one’s safety and well-being.”
“Neither have I,” Stefan smiled. “But Renee, it will come to you instinctively. Every new mother must deal with the same uncertainties. There’s no requirement you need to be a parent other than to love your child with all your heart.”
Renee looked back down at the collection of tiny clothes. For the most part she was delirious with excitement about Storm’s arrival into the world. Her imagination projected ahead to frilly dresses and pretend tea-parties, and playing dress-ups. But in her mind the early months were always a vague blur; as though she could see no detail, because she had no experience. And when she tried to focus her thoughts on what those first months with a newborn baby might be like, she was suddenly overwhelmed by a sense of fear and uncertainty.
“I might not be a good mother,” she confessed softly – as though she were speaking to herself. “I might make mistakes.”
Stefan smiled. He rubbed Renee’s back, and his touch was firm and comforting. “Of course we will make mistakes,” he said. “That’s why first-born children are so screwed up. It takes a couple of goes to get something right. It’s the main reason why so many families have more than one child. We all learn from our mistakes.”
Renee twisted round on the bed and glared at Stefan in horror. And then she realized he was joking with her. Despite her mood of anxiety, she laughed suddenly – and then everything seemed a little better in her mind.
“Aren’t you worried at all?”
“About you being a mother?”
“Yes.”
Stefan shook his head. “Not at all. I think you’ll be a wonderful mother.” He crouched down beside the bed and took Renee’s face gently in the palms of his hands so she could see the truth of it in his eyes. “I don’t think baby Storm could ask for a better parent.”
