“Are ye afraid of me anymore?” He whispered in her ear.

“Nay, love. Ah’m not afraid of ye.”

“Then let me kiss ye, lass and make ye feel love.”

He started near her ear and then worked his way slowly to her chin and down her neck. Each kiss was soft, delicate. He trailed his tongue down the hollow of her throat and then back up to her mouth. She felt hungry for him. Kissing him didn’t feel like enough. She pulled him closer to her, and laid her head back on the bed.

He followed her down, holding himself above her and continued their passionate kiss. Her breathing became more rapid and she could feel her heart slam into her ribs. He had his hips pressed up against hers and the hard planes of his arousal dug into her thigh.

She moved her legs around his hips and felt him between her legs. A thrill tore through her. His kiss continued as he rubbed himself against her, igniting a passionate response. She heard a low moan escape her mouth and a resounding groan of pleasure from Oidche.

“Take me, Oidche, please.” She managed to gasp.

She could tell that he liked her begging him by the look in his eye. He unhooked the bodice of her dress and worked the dress down off her hips. He threw it on the floor without taking his eyes off of her. Then he removed her undergarments, throwing those on top of the dress. She lay before him, completely exposed. Oidche stood and removed his shirt, then removed his kilt. She had seen him nude already, but the sight was still exciting and arousing.

He kissed her again, this time slow and long which left a different kind of fire in her. He worked his way down to her chest, licking the rosy buds with his tongue. She wiggled under him, pleasure filled her.

He claimed her mouth and his tongue roamed over hers. She ran her hands up and down the skin of his back, feeling each muscle as it tensed and relaxed under her hands. She felt him move his hand between her thighs and caress her. Another moan and a deep breath in and Oidche pulled her up onto his lap.

“Ah love ye, Mal.” His voice was gravelly and low. He lifted her hips and guided her onto him. “Slowly,” he instructed.

She slowly lowered herself onto him as he guided her hips, lifting her up and then letting her down again. She felt a resistance, and he lifted her away from it, but she pushed herself down again, the pleasure beginning to build in her. Malmuira felt a small tear and brief pain and then pleasure as he filled her up. This time the moan came from Oidche. He grabbed her body and lifted her back onto the bed, lowering himself inside of her again and again. Her pleasure built and her muscles tensed as she felt him getting bigger.

The pleasure tore through her like fire and she bucked up against him, arching her back to meet him as he came down hard into her. His pleasure peaked and he growled, igniting her pleasure again a second time when she felt him release inside of her. They fell together on the bed in a heap of limbs and beating hearts.

Malmuira lay her head up against his chest, listening to the rhythmic whooshing of his heart as he held onto her. Were it not for the feast that would begin soon, she could fall asleep again like this, in the arms of her husband. “Ah love ye too, Oidche.”

“Mal, that was wonderful. Ah don’t wanna get out of bed.” Oidche was still lounging on the bed.

Malmuira was slowly donning her undergarments and gown. “Will ye help me with the bodice?”

Oidche stood up and came over to her, tightening and clasping the parts of the bodice with ease. “Ye’re beautiful,” he remarked as he kissed the hollow of her shoulder.

She turned to face him, and on tiptoe, pecked him on the lips with a smile.

“Let’s go eat with yer faither, and then we can come back here after supper.”

“Are ye telling me ah can have ye again after dinner?” Oidche asked with a mischievous grin.

Malmuira raised her eyebrows. “If ye throw the dice right, ye might be rewarded.”

He broke out in a full belly laugh and soon she had joined him. They finished getting ready and headed down to dine with Garrett Murray.

Kyle was already seated near the head of the table, along with Culloden and Eaunrig. They were surrounded by other men that Malmuira had seen in passing or been introduced to. When she entered, the men all stood from their table.

“Son!” Garrett’s bellowing voice echoed across the room to greet them.

“Faither.” Oidche responded with gusto and made his way over into a bone-crushing hug.

“Malmuira, it does me good to see ye again.” Garrett put his hand on her shoulder in a fatherly gesture. She kissed his cheek in return.

“Good to see ye as well, Garrett.”

“Please, call me Faither. Ah’m excited to have a daughter in the house again.” His eyes sparkled and she realized that he had been missing his own daughter who now lived in her old home.

  “Aye, Faither.”

“Son, ah have an announcement to make.” Garrett cleared his throat and all the men in the hall fell silent. Oidche had a confused look on his face. Apparently he didn't know what was going on. Malmuira listened raptly to Garrett as he began to speak.

“My old age is catching up with me. Ah’m not as young as I used to be. My son, Oidche, has proven himself in battle many times, and even now, has settled down with a bonnie lass. As is tradition, ah name Oidche Munroe Murray my son and rightful heir, Clan Chief of Murray and head over our soldiers. Ah will assume a more leisurely position as his mentor, but ah expect yer loyalty to him.”

All the men cheered at the announcement and drank from their tankards of ale. Many men came forward and clapped him on the back in congratulations. Oidche’s face was solemn, but she could see the pride in his expression.

“Tonight, we feast in honor of my son and his new wife.” Another cheer sounded and everyone began to eat. Kyle stayed near Oidche and Malmuira, enjoying the food, but making comments about how it could be improved.

After a long meal and much feasting, Oidche slowly led Malmuira back in the direction of their rooms. He was quiet and withdrawn. “Is something bothering ye?” Malmuira had his hand in hers and squeezed.

“Aye, there is.” He sounded upset.

He pulled her out a side door that led to the garden. They both sat down on a bench close to the door. “Ah dunno if ah’m the best person to be clan chief.”

  The admission shocked Malmuira. “Why?”

“Ah’m not the same man that ah was. Ah cannot lead them into battle, should the need arise. Ah’m a cripple.”

Malmuira thought for a moment before responding. “Does your faither go in to battle?”

  “Nay, he directs the troops.”

“Ah suspect you will be expected to do the same. Ye don't need a good leg to be a good clan chief. Ye’ll make a great leader. Ye’re kind, and intelligent. Ye’re good with negotiating.”

“Aye, and ah have ye.” He took her hand and kissed the palm of it.

“Ah like it when ye do that.” She closed her eyes.

He kissed her again. “Ah like the face ye make.”

She put her hand on his cheek and stared into the deep blue eyes that pierced her. “Ye’re going to be amazing, Oidche.”

“Ah can do this if ah have ye with me.”

He helped her to stand and, taking one hand in his and placing his hand around her waist, he led her in a slow dance. The moonlight sang out the rhythm of their steps and the stars twinkled in sync. She breathed in the sweet night air and attempted to preserve the memory. She was home. Wherever his arms were, she was home.
