They had arrived together in the party and he had been nothing but professional as he stirred them inside. The charity event’s location was decorated in such exquisite designs that Olivia couldn’t help but glare. The soles of her feet protested as she moved with her four-inched heels, bringing her almost to a five foot’ six as she nearly wept with agony when the top of her toes stabbed against the shoes.

“Where is he?” she mumbled distractedly. It had only taken her a minute to go to the ladies bathroom and prepared herself mentally for situations to come. Seeing a waiter passed her, she quickly grabbed a champagne and downed it. Feeling her blood sizzle with awareness as she placed the flute down. Gripping her dress in one hand as she walked forward, sighing in relief when she finally caught sight of Corbin whom was walking towards her with carnal expression in his eyes.

Without realizing what was going on, he dropped his scotch down and grabbed her hand. Stirring her towards the entrance as she struggled to keep up with him with her high heels.

“What are you doing?” she asked, panting as she tried to steady her breathing.

“We’re leaving,” Corbin growled in deep, accentuated voice. His snarl was deep, sensual and sexy that she shivered at the sensation he awakened inside her body.

“But we just got here,” Olivia reminded, ducking so that the car hood wouldn’t hit her head.

“It doesn’t matter. We’ve been there long enough,” he answered her and closed the door. Trapped inside his jaguar, she could only watch as he walked around to the driver seat. Opening the door to let himself in and started the car, putting the vehicle to gear as he drove like something was running after them.

“Corbin,” she began but was cut off when he turned a sharp turn left. From her perspective and position, Olivia could see the fineness of his chiselled jaw and grown stubble. He hadn’t shaved for the event and looked rakishly good-looking in his tuxedo. His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, his fingers dug into the leather as he shifted slightly in his seat. As if uncomfortable and at that moment, she caught a glimpse of him looking briefly at her bare leg. Electricity shot down her spinal column and understanding gripped her for a moment but every thought was swiped away when the car stopped and she was being hauled inside her own apartment.

“Hold on!” she cried, stifling a cry as she stepped on her own attire. Gathering the hem and bunching it inside her fist, she was forced to take off her heels or risk breaking both of her ankles.

“Come on,” Corbin urged and suddenly grabbed her shoes from her own hand and seized her wrist. Everything whirled into a blur as she was dragged inside and he was throwing her heels somewhere in her lounge.

That was the last thing she knew before his head came down and attacking her lips. Coaxing her lips to open and let himself in as she moaned in pleasure. Stroking the corner of her orifice, Olivia felt him suck her bottom lip deeper into his mouth. Nibbling, nipping as she cried out at the slight pain it brought. The pain was quickly ebbed when he sucked it and continued to lick the insides, making her weak in the knees.

  “Corbin,” she moaned.

Ignoring her plead, he inclined his head to the side and wiped every thought from her mind and continued to give her sensual sensations that she couldn’t help but to draw away when the desire became too much.

“We have to move to the bedroom,” he snarled in her mouth and began to walk her towards her own room. When they arrived inside, he pushed her back to the bed and followed her straightaway. His mouth anted up the assault and began to kiss her jawline. Pressing wet kisses on the hollow part of her neck as Olivia turned her head to give him better access. Her arms reaching up to entwine into his hair as she tugged him closer, offering her body as every caution threw out the window.

Hands braced on her waist, he parted her legs open and settled up inside them. Dropping his weight on them as his heat radiated off him. Transferring into her body that caused her physique to light up in flame, her hips bucking when his thumb came up and caressed her nipple. Indulging in his intoxicating smell as he rid himself of his jacket, throwing it on the floor as his hand cupped her breast.

“Do you like this?” he asked. His breath whispered against her soft flesh.

“Yes,” she responded and offered up her body for his taking.

Growling with need, he pushed her dress down and exposed her breasts. Sweeping his head down to capture one of his nipples, Olivia’s pelvis came off the bed as she suckled it in. His other elongated hands tweaked at her nipples, awakening a moan from her as her head thrashed against the pillows. Her hips grinded and begged for him to take her at that moment. Roaring with lust, Corbin anted up the hungry latches of his mouth and combined with the tweaking of her nipples, rolling the peak between his forefinger and thumb. The agony of her nub throbbing sent her fingers to press firmer onto his skull and suck the rosy peak deeper and bring her into oblivion.

Her body shook from the frustrating tease he was giving her. The addicting pull of his lips around her nipple made her legs surround him, her thighs locking in place around his thighs. Giving into the deep suction of pleasure, Corbin laid his forearms around her head and pressed his angry shaft down her warmth and grated.

The sensations built in the pit of her belly and Olivia cried out. The next thing she remembered knowing was Corbin tearing at her clothes. So eager to push past the boundaries of their clothing. Pushing the hem of her black dress up her head, he began to undo his pants and pulled it down. His erection springing free from the fabric and she stared in wonderment, mouth gaped open as he stroked the large length.

As she laid in bed, thighs spread apart and open for his inspection; she fought the urge to close her legs and cover herself up from his hungry gaze. Crying out softly as he brought his head down in silence and began to attack her second lips. His tongue sucked and nibbled gently down on her hood as it continued to ache from the lack of release.

“Corbin, please.” She begged. Wanting to feel him inside her as she tugged at his hair, yearning to feel his mouth against her as she pushed for the final time.

Granting her wish, he pulled away and grabbed a condom packet from his wallet. Tearing the top with his teeth and rolling it down his length, giving his rod a final squeeze as his head fell back with abandonment. The sight he performed caused a frenzy inside her. Before she knew what she was doing, Olivia was reaching out to him and kissing him deeply. Guiding his massive tip into her opening as she wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders, her lips parting in a scream as he pushed.

“Damn,” he gritted out with clenched teeth. Biting down on her lower lip from making too much noises, she wrapped her legs around him and held on as he picked up the pace. His hips pistoled against hers, taking her closer to the edge to the point of seeing stars and the moon.

With the final thrust, Corbin pounded into her continuously and grunted his climax. The hot, pulsing of his erection was enough to send her over the edge.

  Chapter Five

Bright sunlight poured through the window surface. Highlighting their bodies as she slowly came awake. Last night’s event came crashing down on Olivia as her eyelids blinked. The sound of birds chirping sounded out behind the curtains, drawing itself in as she tried to wrap her head around the idea of sleeping with the one man she had always wanted in the beginning.

It was true that Corbin would never see her past the little sister of her brother but how would they cooperate and work together now? Now that they had shared a night with each other’s arms and knew what it was like to share a passionate gesture when she had made sure that their relationship would stay platonic as possible.

He had been so great with his sensual touches and kisses that she had lost every thought and threw every caution out the window. Her better and logistic ponderings had been nothing but ashes the moment he touched his lips against hers. Steering beside him, she drew herself up and laid her back on the headboard. Curling her arms around her knees as she looked down to study the m
an she had loved since childhood.

“What are we going to do now, Corbin?” she asked, quietly. Not wanting to wake him in case he wanted to talk things out. There would be no talking nor sorting it out, and the last thing she wanted was to become his temporary mistress. Not when she had promised herself that she could love him from far away and watch him as he picked out the perfect woman for his needs.

Drawing her knees down, she made a move to leave when a strong hand gripped her own. Halting her movements as she turned back in surprise, her eyes widening in astonishment as Corbin drew himself up and stared at her.

There was not a trace of sleep as he questioned, “Where do you think you’re going?”

“I’m leaving, Corbin.” She said mildly and made a move to leave.

“Fat chance because you’re not going anywhere.” He replied and tightened his clasp around her wrist.

“You can’t tell me what to do.”

“Yes, I can and I will. Listen to me, Olivia.” He persisted, not letting go when she made an attempt to pull her hand back.

“There’s nothing to listen to and there’s nothing we need to talk about.” She responded, feeling a rush of tears as she tried to pull her hand away but to no avail.

“I can’t explain what happened last night, nor what pulled me in when I brought you home and made love to you. You may think that this is all fun and games for me, Olivia but it isn’t.”

  “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that I love you, Liv.” His eyes softened as he regarded her, pulling her into his embrace without a word. “I’ve loved you since the beginning of time. I don’t know how it started but all I know is that I feel something strongly for you. And just you.”

Tears welling up her eyes, she asked softly, “What about George? He’ll never be happy with me dating you.”

“Who said anything about dating? You’re mine now, Olivia Madill. Whether you like it or not. And as for your brother, don’t worry about him. I know that he might not trust me with you but I can certainly prove it to him that I can take care of his little sister.”

“But I thought you weren’t interest—”

“Shh,” placing a finger upon her lips, Corbin muffled her protests. “There’s not a time for me that I wasn’t interested in you. And I plan on proving it to you that I love you with all my being and I’m not about to leave any sooner.”

She was just about to say something when he crushed his lips against hers. Muffling any words as he pulled her down and continued to worship her body. Complying, she smiled and brought his head down to hers. Loving the feel of him as they bodies met in complete synchronization.

And just then, Olivia knew that she had finally met the one.

Thanks to her destiny and luck.

Cowboy Romance: The Love of A Good Cowboy

  Chapter One

  Sonofabitch!

Zeke Reilly was out on his horse Thunder, as he always was, watching the sun rise over Triple Z Ranch. This place, this land was his pride and joy and it was in his bones. The dirt that made up the land was deep in his soul and every morning he rode his horse to the highest point and watched as the sun rose over the ranch, bathing the land in pinks, yellows and oranges. This morning however, he was not alone. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” His voice sounded like a roar in the early morning silence.

The woman with the camera covering her face gasped and looked up, giving Zeke a glimpse of the most stunning pair of grass green eyes he’d ever seen. Her long—really long—legs were encased in a tight pair of jeans that had him feeling less than comfortable on his horse. She straightened to her full height and unleashed a powerful smile that almost knocked him off his horse. “I’m Ryleigh O’Brien, reporter with Beloved Bugle,” she extended her hand, wiping them on her pants when he refused her greeting. “Anyway I’m here to investigate.”

Zeke’s blue eyes narrowed to slits, “Investigate what, Ms. O’Brien?”

“It’s Ryleigh, Mr. Reilly.” She placed her hand on Thunder and rubbed gently. “Are you familiar with Track Peters, the new owner of the Harding Ranch?” His nod was barely there but she saw it and continued. “Well he is notorious for his underhanded ways when it comes to properties he wants. He sets up shop in a town, usually on an adjoining property, and all of a sudden there are accidents, injuries, unexplained repairs required and other curious happenings.”

Arms crossed over his broad muscled chest, Zeke stared down at Ryleigh, her red curls flying in the breeze, with skepticism in his eyes. “And you know this how?”

“I’m a reporter and it’s called research.” Her green eyes sparkled with a challenge. “I’m guessing this broken fence isn’t the first of your ongoing problems, starting about six months ago?” His nod was curt but Zeke said nothing. “Peters has probably made a few lowball offers too,” she mumbled this more to herself than to him.

Damn she was absolutely correct. He didn’t want to admit it but the stunning redhead had hit the nail on the head. He still didn’t trust her or any reporter for that matter. The last time he trusted a female reporter, Brenda Sue Majors, he’d ended up with a broken heart and his family name splashed all over the local papers. He hadn’t had a woman in more than a year because of it and he didn’t intend to break that streak with Ryleigh, no matter how much she tested his resolve. But he was curious what she had to say so he said, “Come up to the big house for lunch and you can tell my family all about it.”

Ryleigh opened her mouth to speak but Zeke and his horse were already trotting off into the sunrise.

  ~

Ryleigh stared dumbfounded as the handsome cowboy rode away. “Not a big conversationalist, eh?” She figured he didn’t have to be a big talker with a face and a body like that. With his blonde curls peeking out from under that worn cowboy hat and those eyes as deep and as blue as the ocean, he was the epitome of the silent but strong cowboy. Those worn jeans hugged his body like a dream and the way his shirt clung to the muscles in his chest and arms, made her wish she was the one doing the clinging. “Damn man,” she grumbled and turned to take a few more photos.

She could tell he didn’t believe her and she couldn’t say she blamed him. She was a stranger in Beloved, a small town outside of Billings and she was a reporter, not the most trusted of professions in the age of tabloid news. But Ryleigh had a feeling these people were going to get screwed and lose their land if she didn’t write this story. She had to help them, couldn’t stand to see another family torn apart like hers had been.

So far she had gathered a lot of evidence against Track Peters and the trail of destruction he usually left in his wake. If she could just figure out what was so special about Triple Z she’d have enough to do a complete exposé and maybe even put the scumbag behind bars.

Hopefully she could do it before Zeke and his family lost their land.

A few hours later Ryleigh’s car ambled up the long driveway to the big house on Triple Z ranch and she stepped out to bask in the midday sun. She loved the scenic Montana views, always taking time to stop and take in the wide open spaces, larger than life mountains and the rainbow of natural colors that painted the landscape. This was the most beautiful place she had ever lived, and she’d lived in plenty of places in her twenty-eight years. She thought often these days about making Beloved, Montana her home.

  “Ryleigh?”

She looked up at the soft voice calling out to her and saw a beautiful motherly woman with a long braid crawling down her back and smiling hazel eyes. “Yes I’m Ryleigh,” she extended her hand. “You must be Annabelle Reilly. It’s great to meet you.”

“You too sweetie,” Annabelle ignored the offered hand and pulled her in for a hug. “You are quite a looker, aren’t you?”

Ryleigh blushed at Annabelle’s words but she took the offered hug and so
aked it up. She couldn’t remember the last time someone held her like this. She allowed another few seconds before she pulled back. “Thank you ma’am. I want to thank you for letting me crash your lunch today.”

Annabelle led her up the stairs and into the house. “It’s no problem Ryleigh. I have to say I was mighty surprised when Zeke said he’d invited a guest for lunch but now that I see you, I know why.”

She blushed furiously. “Oh, no Annabelle, it isn’t--,” When Ryleigh got a glimpse of the playful smile on the older woman’s face she relaxed a little. “Oh.”

Annabelle’s melodic laugh sounded throughout the kitchen. “I’m messin’ with you sweetheart. Come on and meet my daughter and grandson. Zaria and Zach, our lunch date is here.” She winked at Ryleigh.

Two distinct sets of footsteps came down the stairs, one soft and steady, the other loud and charging. Before Ryleigh could step aside she found herself on the wrong end of a collision course with a young boy. “Whoa there,” she held out her hands to steady them both. “You okay,” she asked the wide eyed child.

He nodded, eyes still transfixed on hers and mouth wide open. “You’re pretty, who are you? I’m Zach.”

Ryleigh smiled and her face flushed red while Annabelle and Zaria’s laughter sounded behind the boy. “Well thank you, handsome. I’m Ryleigh.”

His eyes widened and turned to his grandmother. “She’s related to us?”

“No honey, her first name is Ryleigh.”

He grabbed Ryleigh’s hand and pulled her into the kitchen. “You can sit by me. Do you like horses?”

The Reilly women laughed and began laying out a heaping pile of food for lunch while Ryleigh listened intently as Zach told her about his skills as a rider, the different horses on the ranch and everything else he could think of related to horses. He was adorable and he really did know horses. “You’re gonna be a great horseman one day,” she told him and her heart melted a little at the way he blushed and dipped his head.
