“Well, he is very talented with fine detailed work. I love you, Kayla. Thank you for never giving up on our love.” She looks at my girls and adds, “And I want to thank all of you for not making Kayla choose between us. I hope you can look at me as family and not as a threat to what you have with Kayla.”

Madison is first to speak. “Yes, we see you as family. We know the dynamic between the three of us and you may be different from what we have with each other, but we’re ok with that. We’ll respect your relationship with Kayla and give you the time and space you need to be together when you finally move in with us.”

“Thank you. I know your families are there waiting for you, so I should let you go back to them. Can we talk again tomorrow?”

“Yeah, we’ll all talk tomorrow, but I’ll probably text you soon.” Awenasa smiles and nods. “Ok, puppy. I’ll talk to you soon. I love you.”

“I love you too. I really like seeing my rings on your finger.” She smiles and laughs a little, looking down at her hand. “Me too. I can’t tell you how happy I am right now.”

“I’m probably going to burst into fireworks soon.”

“Just aim for North Carolina so I can catch you.” I smile really big and look at my girls. “Light me on fire, babies, I’m going flying.” They laugh and shake their heads at me. “Silly, puppy. Ok, talk to you all soon.”
