Christopher pulled himself up into his truck as he remembered the way her mouth had formed a perfect circle of surprise. He wanted nothing more than to grab her to him and taste her lips. To nibble on her bottom lip, which she so often did. In his mind, she did it to drive him crazy. He groaned before he turned his attention elsewhere. He made his way into the city to his penthouse.
He thought of Catrina again and smiled as he got ready for bed. She had a strong heart and character he admired in most women, but she wasn't as even tempered. He had heard her and Alexis' arguments a few times from the night of the gala and he could tell that she was very independent and headstrong. He had learned a lot about her in the last week or so. When she was loving, like with her father, she was the sweetest person on earth, but if you did her wrong…wrap that up with a bad temper and you had one feisty and beautiful woman that he was starting to think of more and more. He smiled as his eyes drifted shut, imaging what she would feel like in his arms. Perhaps it wasn’t meant to be, he was starting to care way too much for her. He wanted her, it was as simple as that. At least it should be.

The next day Catrina looked over at her friend. “What do you mean you invited a bunch of friends over to my place for a super bowl party?” Her eyes were wide and rounded as she looked at her ever-meddling best friend. They had met for coffee at a local hot spot. She glanced down at her watch. She had exactly 45 minutes before she had to meet Christopher.
“I thought maybe we could stay in Sunday and watch the game. You know, just a couple friends. I told them you were going to make your mom’s chili and they couldn't wait.”
“Now you offered not only my home, but my cooking as well.” Her hands rested on her rounded hips as she squinted with irritation.
“Oh come on, Trina. You have that big television your dad bought you that you never use. It's so much better than my little 32 inch and I got money to get everything you need to cook. Everyone chipped in too. It'll be fun. And there will be some men there. You might even get lucky.” She wiggled her eyebrows over at her.
“Fine. I will cook and we can have it at my apartment, but no match making. Promise me.”
“Ok. But I'm going to invite the one person you couldn't say no to.” A wicked smile spread across Alexis' face as she looked at her.
Shaking her head in denial, Catrina frowned over at her. “Who?” She didn't know who in the world she could be talking about. As Alexis' smile grew her eyes widened with realization. “You wouldn't?” As her friend just stood there she responded again. “You would! Alexis don't. I don't need to deal with a relationship right now.” Her eyes were wide before she turned back to her dough.
“Who said anything about a relationship honey? You just need to get laid. You probably got cobwebs up there. And I think that Christopher Blakemore is just the person to help dust them away. Besides you keep telling me about the times you’ve spent together over the last week and such.”
“Alexis, don't even think about it. It’s complicated.”
“Fine, fine.” They turned around to walk back out front when she heard the jingle come from the front of the shop. As she kept walking the smile on Alexis’ face only grew when she saw who it was.
“Hey, Mr. Blakemore. Whatcha got going on this weekend?”
Christopher turned to the dark haired girl standing beside Trina who was obviously blushing.. “Nothing, why, and please call me Christopher?” He smiled at her.
“Well, my friend here is hosting a super bowl party. You should come ogle at her there. You know, get to know each other and see where it gets you.”
“Lexy!” The hiss escaped out of Catrina's lips as she gave her friend a warning glare.
“What? You two seem to like each other and you both look like you could jump at the other person. Why not just take the leap? Besides, she has been talking about you for two weeks now.” She shrugged her shoulders at her.
“I'm sorry. Alexis can sometimes be pushy.” She looked embarrassed as she glanced at him, her cheeks becoming an even darker shade of pink.
“You need it.” The words were thrown at them as her friend ran out of the front door, escaping the second glare she got for the day.
As she shook her head, Catrina turned back to the man across from her.
“Does that mean I'm not invited then?” He smiled at her and her breath caught again. He was always somewhere between gorgeous and dangerous, and the smiles he gave her made him look even better.
“No. I mean...yes, you are invited. I would have invited you, I just didn't know if it was your thing or not. I would love for you to come.”
“So are you cooking? If so, I’ll definitely be there. I have something to take care of that morning so I may be a little late, but I'll be there. I promise.”
“Ok. So do you still want me to meet you at the station?”
“Yes, lots of paperwork to sign. Fortunately, your father gave you power of attorney so it should be quick. I’ll see you in a few then.” He touched her hand, letting his thumb graze her wrist as she headed out the door.
They signed off on the paperwork and the officer had been reprimanded, but at Miss Ann’s request he had kept his job. He would definitely be more efficient from that point forward that was for sure. They made their way out of the building when a leggy blonde came around the corner.
“Chris baby, I’m so glad I found you.” She was covered in an expensive gown and jewels and Chris had just caught her in his arms.
He felt the need for introductions. “Catrina Landrum, this is Eve Sinclair.”
The blonde gave her a once over and Trina felt the sting of humiliation. She was beautiful and blonde and all of the things Trina was not. Christopher even had the decency to look embarrassed. By the way she clung to him and the familiar way his arm had caught her it was obvious they had been involved. She was a fool to think he would even look at her like that.
“Well, I have to get going. Again, thank you for your help Mr. Blakemore.” She left them there and rounded the corner to her car before she did anything else to feel stupid.
The weekend came quickly and Catrina sat on the couch and looked over at her friend. It was already the second quarter and there still wasn't any sign of Christopher. She was thankful. He had been leaving her messages all week since the incident on the steps of the station and she wanted to be free of it. She should have known better than to think that any guy would want her. Look at her. She had breasts that were way too big for her body, a large round ass and an ugly mark above her lip. Her mother used to tell her it was a beauty mark, but she knew better. Did she really think she could get a man like Christopher Blakemore? The real question was why did she want to? She shook her head as she stood and made her way into her kitchen. There were people on the sectional sofa, on her dining room chairs sitting around and even some on the floor spread out. Food was laid out everywhere in the dining room and covered every inch of the large farm table she had there. She had explained what happened to Alexis, who frowned and was as pissed as she was. She hadn’t mentioned him again and they had simply let it go. She heard someone come into the kitchen, but she was staring out of the window to her terrace.
When she turned she looked up into two familiar dark eyes and exhaled a large breath slowly. Christopher Blakemore stood just over her looking down at her. She could feel the warmth as it radiated from his body to hers. Neither said a word as they stood there and looked at each other.
“Hello Mr. Blakemore, I am surprised to see you.” She said it nonchalantly as she moved some food to trays on the counter. He took a step towards her.
“Why have you been ignoring me, Trina?”
“I thought it was obvious why. The stupid game we were playing was just too much.”
“It wasn’t a game, well, maybe at first. I told you I wanted you, Trina and I’ve been very open about that from the door.” He was angry and she looked up at him.
“After the run-in at the station I assumed
you would be busy, and furthermore, I am not just some notch to put on your headboard, Blakemore.” He grabbed her and pulled her to him pressing himself against her.
“Eva and I dated over a year ago and she needed some legal counsel. I referred her to someone. She tends to be…dramatic to say the least.”
The heat radiating between the two of them was too much. She wanted to move, but all she could do was look up at him.
Before he could think twice about it, he dipped his head towards hers. At first his lips briefly ran across hers softly and tenderly. She wasn't aware of the moan until it escaped from between her lips. Suddenly one of his hands captured both of hers, bringing them up to lay flat against the door. His other delved into her hair to hold her head steady. She felt his body step as close to her as it could and felt the long length of his body pressed against hers. His hand held her head still as his lips returned to hers. This time there wasn't any gentleness as his lips captured hers. He nipped and nibbled at her lips until she gasped and gave him the opening he needed. His tongue slipped inside her mouth to explore the depths within. She felt her body become lax and lazy, sandwiched between his warm body and the hard door. She was immobilized and unable to move. She realized she didn't want to though as she groaned deep in her throat. His mouth only seemed to take more of her as his hand dropped hers to circle around her waist and brought her flat against him. Her hands delved into his hair of their own accord as she began to kiss him back. His hands were on her hips and she moaned again as they made their way back to her full ass and heave her up onto the erection she now felt pressing between her legs and into her pelvis. Her head was spinning and her body was way overheated and she tried to get closer to his warmth. She didn't know what she was doing at that point, and really didn't care. She just didn't want it to stop. His head came up slowly as he looked down at her. The intensity in his eyes seemed to burn through her as she gasped and panted for breath. They were both panting deeply and his hands were suddenly on either side of her head. He wanted too much and this was too close. He suddenly stopped, looking at her.
“I can’t do this.” His voice was deep and seemed to shake with his desire.
“What, you came in here and asked for this?” Her voice sounded strange to her own ears. It was wispy and breathless as she leaned back against the door. He hadn't removed his body from hers and she felt him pressed against her.
“You don't know what you are asking for.”
“What I am asking for? I am not asking for anything Blakemore. I ignored you remember? Look, if you don't want it, then that's fine, but don't go around acting like you are such a good guy and trying to help me. I get it.” Jerking from him, she made a move to go around him. Just as she stepped from the circle of his arms, her arm was snatched and she was brought back against him.
“That is far from the truth. I would like nothing more than to lift you onto that table and kiss every inch of your body. I want to hear your screams as I bury myself inside you and bring you to ecstasy. I want to hear my name escape from your lips as you orgasm. That is what I want, but it is not what is best for you.” His words caused a blush to color her cheeks. It was amazing how her panties seemed to become wet just from his words alone. She gasped as she looked at him and then the last words hit her like a slap in the face. If he wanted her then he wouldn't be making excuses. Prying his hand from her arm she began walking back into the living room.
Catrina sat on the couch in the corner as Christopher made himself comfortable beside her. Neither said another word to the other throughout the rest of the game. As the game went on she felt his leg as it brushed against hers and she was all too aware of the heat that came from him. His scent filled her nostrils, a sweet blend of spice and pine. It was amazing and she began catching herself wanting to sniff the air around her.
Catrina smiled at Alexis as she looked at her. “Well, I'll leave you two kids alone now. I am heading home. See you on Wednesday.”
“It’s Sunday, I will see you tomorrow, Alexis.”
“Oh no you won't. You will need a couple days to recuperate.”
“From what?” Her eyebrows rose with the question.
“From that.” Her friend giggled as she ran from the room after she pointed at the only other person still left in the house.
Christopher stood there and listened to the girls, although he acted as if he didn't know what they said. Once everyone was gone, it left the two of them alone. She still felt the sting of his rejection earlier.
“Well, thank you for coming, but as you can see, I have some cleaning to do.” She turned a pair of steely green eyes in his direction. She didn't wait for his answer, but instead turned to begin gathering the trash around her. As she bent over to pick up a chip from the floor, he groaned at the sight of her bent over. Her ass was pushed up into the air and he had to turn away quickly and coughed to hide the groan that had escaped his lips. He needed to focus on something else. He quickly began to help her gather the plastic cups and plates around. It didn't take them long before the house was clean. She turned and smiled at him. “Thank you for your help but really you can go.”
“No, I can't.” His face was set in stone and she suddenly became very nervous.
Her eyes widened in her face as she looked at him warily. “What do you mean? Look, about earlier, let’s just forget it ever happened, ok?” She laughed like it was no big deal even though it turned her stomach to go back and act like the kiss didn't happen. It was amazing to say the least and had stirred things in her that she hadn't felt in a long time.
“We both know that will never happen. Neither of us will be able to forget what happened in the kitchen.”
Everything he said went in one ear and out the next. The only thing that stuck was the part where he wasn't leaving. “What do you mean you aren't leaving? Look buddy, you had your chance and you said no. Now I want you to get out of my house.”
“Tough!”
She glared at him as he stomped his way towards her and they glared at each other.
“How do you turn me down one minute and then demand to stay in my house the next? That's absurd.”
“Fine. You want me to give in to what I'm feeling then so be it.” He pulled her back to him. His lips capturing hers again. He pulled on her arm practically dragging her to what he hoped was her bedroom.
She stomped her foot as she looked at him angrily. “I am not going anywhere.”
His face came only mere inches from hers as he angrily demanded. “Either you go willingly or I will tie you up and carry you myself.”
“You wouldn't dare!”
“I would and I will.”
“Uhhhh!” Before she knew what was happening, he had picked her up and thrown her over his shoulder. Making his way into her room, he unceremoniously tossed her on her own bed. She was furious.
She didn't need anything to happen between them. She had decided long ago that men were a waste of time. All they did was screw you over, break your heart and ignore everything that came from your mouth.
“I’m going to make love to you, Catrina.”
“Yeah, we both know that with your track record tonight, that's not going to happen.”
His eyes held hers for a moment. “Don't push it, Catrina.”
“Yeah. I heard that tonight as well. You are like a broken record. I know, I know you are not what I need. Yada, yada, yada and so on.”
“Stop, Catrina. You are acting like a child.”
“Whatever. I am tired and going to bed.”
“You can sleep later…much later.” He moved towards her almost gliding across the floor.
“You can’t just say something like that to me, Christopher, it’s not… normal” Her hands were clenched in frustration.
She felt the warmth of his breath feather over her ear as he whispered to her. “I warned you I didn’t want to push this between us, but you wanted it and I’m going to give you exactly what we both have been thinking about for weeks.” He
moved to press her against the wall, his arm holding her arms above her head as he unbuttoned her shirt. His lips found hers hungrily and she was powerless to stop his movements. Having her arms pinned was more than a little frustrating.
“Yeah, well can you remove your arm now?”
“I don't think I can.”
“What do you mean you don't think you can?”
“I mean I want you too much and if I move it’s done. I can't fight it anymore.” His lips dropped to capture hers again.
“Then don't.” Her voice was but a whisper, but he heard it loud and clear like she screamed it across the sky.
“Can you put this fire out little girl?” he asked, pushing himself up against her again.
“Christopher, you said....” she whispered back as he pushed against her again. She didn’t know where her brain was. This should not be happening. She should be getting up, instead she kept lying there. As he was pressing against her, she moaned. She took his hand and raised it up to her mouth, slipping his thumb inside her mouth to gently suck it.
“Damn.” He flipped her on her back and was instantly on her, devouring her mouth with his own. There was no tenderness and softness to the kiss and she loved it. Wanting nothing sweet to come about, she kissed him back just as hard. Before she knew what was going on he had removed her shirt. She was also aware that she didn’t have anything else on under it. He looked down at her with smoky dark eyes that turned even darker with desire. “Make sure this is what you want because once we start, there is no going back.
“I understand that. The question is what do you want?”
“You don’t have to ask me twice, darling.” He picked her up easily and carried her to the bed. Standing there he slowly removed his shirt. He looked down at her and grinned when his hands touched his belt buckle. He slowly unhooked it and the button and slid the zipper down. He lowered his pants and boxers and stood in front of her naked. She looked up to see him stand proudly. She looked down and saw the muscles ripple across his chest and arms when he moved. He had a flat stomach that was also rippling with muscles. Her eyes traveled his happy trail of hair to reach his throbbing member and she looked head on showing no embarrassment. Looking back up to his face she looked into his gaze.
