Gabe scooped his hands behind her knees and lifted her, widespread so Nick could sit up. He undid his pants enough to free his cock. His thick dick made her mouth water.

“I’ve got her.” Gabe told him.

Nick angled his dick to her weeping hole and pushed inside with one harsh thrust. Harper cried out at the invasion, her pussy clamping around him. He didn’t give her any time to adjust as he lifted her ass and started pounding into her.

“That’s it, baby,” Gabe cooed in her ear. “Let him give you what you want.”

She held on to him. Nick’s cock felt so good. Too good. Nick’s jaw tightened as he took her, as he fought for control with each thrust. His balls hit her behind with each movement as his frantic thrusting became wild. He went deep with each stroke, yet she felt she’d never get him deep enough. Aaron watched them, an unspoken promise in his eyes. He’d have her next and them possibly Gabe. The thought of it shot a thrill down her spine.

Gabe’s tongue danced along the shell of her ear. “How good does he feel inside you, baby?”

Before she could say anything, Nick gave a hoarse shout followed by and antagonized groan. Hot come spurted into her, filling her pussy as he rocked his hips against her. His grip on her hips loosened and he pulled out, the rush of fluid following him and dripping out of her.

“Ah, Harper.” Nick stared into her eyes. “You’re so fucking special. You have no idea.”

Gabe sat her on the blanket in front of them while Nick moved out of the way. He kissed her tenderly before stuffing his cock back in his jeans and zipping up. Aaron waited patiently and Harper licked her lips.

  “Face Gabe.”

She turned so that she faced Gabe. He stroked her face, a comforting touch that had her rubbing her cheek against him. Aaron spread her cheeks and leaned in to lap at the tiny puckered hole. Harper lurched forward at the contact, his touch surprising her. Her cheek rested against the bulge in Gabe’s pants, and she moaned, rubbing against him.

“You keep rubbing against my dick like you want something in that pretty mouth.” Gabe traced her lips with his finger. “I’ll give you what you want, sweetheart. Just let me get it out of my pants before it becomes too painful.”

Aaron slipped a finger inside her ass. “She can’t get enough.” He stroked her slowly, taking his time as his finger pumped in and out of her. “But neither can we.”

Gabe worked on getting his cock out for her to suck and Harper grew impatient. Nick had given her an orgasm but Aaron was right. It wasn’t enough. Gabe’s dick was fat and dripped with pre-come. She swirled her tongue around the head, lapping at the small slit that leaked. A harsh groan came from him as she closed her mouth around him and sank down, sucking him.

Nick reached out and squeezed her breast, pinching her hard nipple between his fingers. Harper moaned around Gabe while Aaron worked two fingers into her tight channel. Maybe it was their attention she liked most. She’d never been a needy person, but where the five cowboys were concerned, she wanted them to notice her. She wanted them to like her. She loved how they took care of her and enjoyed every moment of it. They made her feel special. Cherished.

Aaron withdrew his fingers and she whimpered. The tip of his cock pressed against her next. Slowly, he pushed forward, taking his time to fill her. The burning sensation hurt for a brief second before pleasure overrode it. She sucked Gabe while Nick reached between her legs to find her clit.

Harper’s heart felt like it would pound out of her chest. Gabe held her to him as he thrust between her lips, matching the pace that Aaron had set. Nick’s fingers rubbed her hard clit, stroking her faster than the rhythm of the two men inside her.

“Baby, I’m not going to last much longer.” Sweat dripped down Gabe’s face. So much was happening inside her at once and Harper loved it. Her orgasm hung in the balance while Nick continued to rub her clit and Aaron fucked her ass harder.

Gabe’s eyes locked with hers. She saw a raw emotion there that she couldn’t explain, something he probably didn’t know he was exhibiting. The need inside her undoubtedly matched his. Gabe’s pleasure came first. She stroked up from the base while she sucked the tip of his cock. Warm jets of fluid filled her and she swallowed, taking all he gave. She released his cock and groaned when Nick slipped two fingers inside her pussy. Aaron picked up the pace, slamming into her ass with hard strokes. Gabe smoothed his hand along her cheek as she felt the pleasure inside her increase.

“Come for us, baby.” Nick whispered in her ear. “I want to watch your beautiful face light up while we give you pleasure.”

Harper couldn’t hold back any longer. Blazing heat burrowed through her body. She cried out as her body sucked them both, holding them both inside her as she squeezed around them.

She didn’t understand the intense emotions that whipped through her. It was only supposed to be about pleasure, but the pleasure was only half of it. These men had become so much more in such a short time that she didn’t know how or when it had happened. Aaron shot hot streams of spunk inside her, with a guttural groan that sent a small bolt of pleasure through her. She liked hearing the sound they made when they took her. She liked watching the distraught look on their face turn to intense pleasure when they came inside her. She liked it all.

Aaron withdrew from her and she collapsed on the blanket closing her eyes. She definitely didn’t feel horrible anymore. And it wasn’t just good sex.

“I think we need to get you home and cleaned up. You’ve had a rough day, cowgirl.” Gabe found her clothing and handed it to her. “Maybe a hot shower with an extra set of hands will help.”

She smiled, closing her eyes. “Or I could just lay here for a while.”

“Nah. I say hot shower and maybe a movie. We’ve got all kinds of movies you can watch.” He helped her get her clothes back on.

She liked that he wanted to continue to keep her mind off everything. She needed it. “Are you going to cuddle up with me?”

“Damn right I am.” Gabe smiled at her. “Come on. These guys have work they need to do.”

Nick flipped him off. “Rub it in our faces.”

Harper smiled and kissed Nick’s shoulder. “You’re sweet enough not to mind, right?”

“I don’t know about sweet, but I don’t mind.” Nick kissed the top of her head. “I’m glad you feel better. I don’t like to see you cry.”

“Yeah, well, you’re part of the reason why I feel better.” She walked off from him. “Don’t forget that either.”

  Chapter Six

Gabe showered with her before settling in front of the TV with some movie she picked out. He lay back on the couch with her in his arms. It felt so good, so real that he didn’t want to move for the fear that she’d disappear. He’d never felt that way about a woman before. He’d had relationships but they didn’t last and he didn’t mind. He wanted something better though. He wanted something deeper, someone to connect with. She was so soft and it was a stark contrast to his hard exterior. She felt so fragile when she curled up against him. He found himself wanting to protect her. To keep her safe and away from harm.

“You’re not asleep are you?” Harper asked him.

  “Getting there.”

She chuckled softly. “Thank you for staying with me. I really hate to admit that I needed it.”

“Anytime, sweetheart.” Gabe kissed her temple. “We all care about you. I know we’re just having fun, but if you want one of us to stay with you from time to time, we’re all willing. Just ask.”

She linked her fingers with his. “I’ll remember that next time.”

He laid his cheek against the top of her head. There were plenty of things he should have been doing in that moment, but having Harper in his arms was the only thing that really mattered in that moment.

“I’ve looked over the books you sent me.” Harry Conner, Harper’s CPA called her bright and early the next day. “I had my top forensic accountant look over them and it does appea
r that someone is stealing from the ranch. There isn’t a trail of who though. I would ask around. There isn’t anyone on the bank account. The daughter has access being next of kin, but the records show that everything was transferred to you with the new account. That was a smart move.”

Harper licked her lips as she stared at her computer screen. “So you’re telling me that someone I know is being dishonest with me?”

“More than likely. I can’t say for sure. It could be family or it could be workers. If a check book was lying around they could have written themselves a check and cashed it without anyone knowing.”

Harper didn’t like the sound of that. “Okay. Thank you.”

She disconnected from him and pursed her lips. How did she go about asking the men if they stole money from the ranch? It was a sticky situation. Amanda didn’t seem like the type though she had access to the account. Harper rubbed her forehead and decided to gather the men for a meeting. It only made sense since she needed to know some answers.

“Guys?” Harper stared at them in the kitchen. “Can we talk in the living room?”

She went in the main living area and waited for them to follow her. She took a seat in the oversized chair and licked her lips. They all settled around her, giving her their undivided attention.

“Someone has stolen from the ranch.” There. She simply just said it. It was for the best. “I found some discrepancies in the accounting system and when I sent the records to my CPA he had his forensic accountant go over them. I don’t know who did it and I’m not accusing anyone in this room. I do, however, need to know if you know anything about it. Have you seen or heard anything that was abnormal?”

The men stayed quiet for a while. She didn’t know where this left them. They were here when she wasn’t. They were the only people that could help her find out who did it.

“If you’d rather talk to me one on one, I’ll be in my office.” She started to stand and Logan spoke up.

“I don’t think anyone in this room would steal from the ranch. We’re a bunch of nobodies with bad pasts, but we’re not criminals. We’re not thieves. I didn’t see anyone do anything abnormal. Gabe and Cooper deposited money into the account for the sale that happened right after Janine passed. I don’t believe for one second that either of them would steal anything.”

Harper folded her hands in her lap. “I’m not accusing you.”

“But it feels that way.” Logan stood. “All of us have worked hard to get to where we are. We came from nothing. I was beat from the time I was two to the time I was five. They placed me in foster care and I was beat some more. I worked my ass off when I turned sixteen just to save up enough money to get out of that environment. I finally found a job advertisement for ranch work. Janine opened her arms to me and gave me a safe place to call home. I wouldn’t fuck that up for a few dollars.”

Harper could see the anger inside him. She didn’t mean to sound like she had accused them of anything. She didn’t know who stole. She didn’t think it was them but they were here and she wasn’t. She didn’t know what to do.

“Logan, please sit. Understand that I’m not blaming you or anyone else for that matter. I simply want to know what happened between the time Janine died and I arrived. You five are the only people that can tell me that.”

“Nothing happened.” Gabe glanced toward the other men. “This is our home. None of us would steal from our home.” He met her eyes. “We’ve been on the other side. We’ve been in that situation where you have nothing. No food, no clothes, no shelter. I was abandoned on the side of the road like a fucking dog when I was five. My parents just decided they didn’t want me anymore and told me to stand there and wait for them to come back. I stood in the fucking rain for two hours before a policeman convinced me to come with him to the police station. I was scared to death and hungry. I didn’t know if my parents would find me again. I’m not giving up the only home I know. The only family I’ve got. When you’ve got something precious, you protect it. You don’t stomp all over it.”

Harper blew out a breath. “I’m not accusing you.”

“What do you want us to say, Harper?” Cooper asked. “You clearly want one of us to either come forward or say we know who stole the money. The thing is, none of us know. We don’t know.”

She nodded. “Okay. I believe you. Your job and your home is not in jeopardy. I simply needed to ask the question. I’ll drop the topic.”

“Have you considered Amanda?” Aaron asked. Everyone looked over at him, though his attention didn’t waver from her. “I’m not saying I saw anything, but she was next of kin. She did have access to the account when Janine passed. I don’t know if she did anything. I don’t personally think she would, but she is another person you might want to talk to.”

Harper nodded. “Yes, I thought about that. What can you tell me about her? Her family?”

Logan snorted. “Her son is a punk.”

  Harper frowned. “Why? What happened?”

“That shithead would always come over here and demand that Janine let him use one of the ranch trucks to take his girlfriend to the movies in the next town over. He’d argue with Janine. He was a real asshole.”

  “Okay. Anything else?”

Nick shrugged. “Amanda is a sweet person. She doesn’t work. She helped Janine when she needed it. They would go places together. Normal mother-daughter stuff. She is a lot like Janine, I think.”

“What about her husband and daughter?”

“The daughter is hardly ever around. She didn’t get along with her father and moved out when she turned eighteen. I have no idea where she lives, but Janine said she was up to no good.” Aaron shrugged. “Her husband is a typical truck driver. He’s not home much and he when he is, he’s really not your average family man. He likes his beer and his poker nights.”

Harper sat back thinking about what they had said. “If you had to pick someone that would potentially steal from the ranch would it be any of them?”

“My money is on the son.” Logan propped his hands on his hips. “He’s a worthless asshole that thinks his family should hand him everything. He begged Janine to give him this ranch. He hadn’t worked a day in his life and he wanted a fucking ranch to run.”

“He doesn’t quit with the video games long enough to run a ranch,” Cooper commented.

“I’ve never really been around him.” Harper glanced between the men. “Maybe I need to go talk to him.”

“He’ll deny anything if it happened. He’s very good at blaming others for what he did.”

Amanda’s son sounded like a real winner. She couldn’t imagine having a kid like that. She went to her office and called Amanda. They’d made plans to go through some of the old photos and Harper figured it would be a good time to get to know her family.

The men went out to feed the animals, leaving Harper at the house by herself. She heard a truck drive up and glanced out the window at it. Amanda’s son, Derek, got out and walked up to the barn. Harper waited, watching him. He came back with some expensive riding gear and some other equipment that the men used. Harper watched as he loaded it in his truck. He was blatantly stealing from her right before her eyes.

She went out after him. “Hey. What do you think you’re doing?”

He glanced over at her. “I’m picking up my stuff. Grandma said I could leave it here and now that she’s gone, I don’t want you gettin’ any ideas that you can sell it and make a profit.”

She stared at him. “Is that right? I had no intention of selling your stuff so you can put it right back in the barn where you got it.”

“I’d rather not.” He opened the door to his truck. “Besides, aren’t you supposed to go back to the city? It’s not like you belong here or anything. You can’t just dress the part and expect us to believe that you’re a real rancher.”

He started the vehicle and turned around in the drive. Harper watched as he left, gravel dust flying behind him. The men were on the opposite side of the
land and she had no way of getting there. She glanced around and found that damn horse that she rode before. Logan had worked with it, but they all gave her shit for riding it before. She took a deep breath. She made it before. Riding the beast one more time wouldn’t be that bad.

She got on the back of it and took off toward the back field. For the most part, the run was smooth. She bounced with the horse’s steps and held onto its mane. Everything was fine until something startled the horse and it reared back, nearly bucking her off. Harper clutched a handful of the mane as the horse tossed her from side to side. What the hell was she going to do? Her heart skipped a beat as he took off running, dragging her as she flew out and crashed into its side. She really did fear for her life at that moment. Flashbacks of all the scolding went through her mind. Horses were big and she knew little about them, but she didn’t think that she could possibly die from riding one.

The horse bucked her off and she went airborne, flying out into the field. Her body landed with a solid thud, the back of her head cracking against the hard ground. Darkness settled in as her eyes drifted closed. Maybe someone would find her before it was too late.

  * * * *

Logan didn’t actually take a breath until Harper was on the gurney in ER. Not only did he find her bleeding in the middle of the field, but he carried her all the way back to the house to his truck and rode with her in his arms to the hospital in Wichita. She was unconscious and he didn’t know for how long. His mind went into a panic as he watched the doctors check her vitals and fix the wound on her head.

“Gabe’s calling her sister.” Cooper slapped Logan on the shoulder. “Come have a seat. They’ll notify us when they find out something.”

Logan reluctantly followed him to where the others sat. He didn’t know what the fuck she was doing in the middle of the field but he didn’t like the idea of her climbing on that damn horse again. He told Cooper that he needed to put the horse in the back away from the house, but Cooper didn’t listen to him. Now, Harper could be seriously hurt because she didn’t know any better.
