Mawu didn’t stay behind to see the carnage that would happen next, but she surely heard the distant guttural screams and tearing of the flesh as they were sacrificed alive to whatever energy the thing gave off that opened the portals of the Lower Astral Planes. Basilisk would bless those who freed him with true immortality, as he wreaked havoc upon the Universe. He was a multi-dimensional demon who was said to come from a completely different world other than their own, what religions referred to as hell, what atheists referred to as negative energy vortexes, and what vampires knew to be the Planes. 21st century ignorance clouded everyone’s visions and predictions. The vampires were the creatures mostly in touch with the dark aspects that humanity dared not reach the heights of, simply out of fear and superstitions. The Dragul generally favored his existence, while the Alucardian/Selenians detested the Dragul, and thus went against them. Mawu couldn’t stay in New York for too long, and she eventually took off to a place no one would ever suspect. The following night, a flight she caught from La Guardia touched down in San Diego, California, at night time.
Bucharest, Romania
“Mysterious Black Obelisk and the Bodies of Five Dead Sailors from U.S. Navy Ship, USS Kearsarge Found at Ground Zero, NYC.”
Regina couldn’t believe the first headline that popped up when she checked her cellphone for the date and time, and she dropped the phone right on its screen. Luckily, she had a tempered glass protector over it. The dhampir had just stepped into the bedroom she was in and was alerted by the loud thud from afar. He wore a black robe over his naked slender body, and he had just stepped out the shower to rinse off the gunk of the bizarre events that just kept coming. Earlier that night, they had just stepped after a lapse of time after what they both agreed was a very strange dream. Now another dawn was going to come again. She cradled her head in her hands and tugged at the ends of her hair, truly feeling like she was losing her damn mind. The dream, or what they thought was a dream all came running back to her.
It wasn’t a dream. It had all been too real and then she remembered the hovering pyramids, and the grey aliens, and the visions of the two babies, along with the vivid embodiment of the former woman that Enttu had loved before. She was severely losing her grip on things, and she slammed her fist hard enough on the nightstand to break it in half out of frustration of the unfortunate take of events. At least this was how she perceived it. She wanted so badly to get away from California after she lost the Naval career that meant everything to her along with her former comrades on her ship, the USS San Diego. But instead of finding a new life full of prosperity and new beginnings, she found herself at the borderline obsession of a vampire, whom she swore these creatures never existed. Fuck! Now, she was even turned into one. It was either this now, or she would a quadriplegic vegetable hooked up to life support the rest of her days as a human after the hit and run. The Cadillac that mowed her down was doing at least 60 MPH. It was a grizzly and mangled state that Enttu had found her in, and he wasn’t about to lose his lover reborn, ever again. The past and the present were all the same to him, and now it was confirmed of who Regina truly was, but for her, as her mortal self kept dying away, temporary psychosis took effect.
Through tears of rage, she stomped out of the bedroom and shoved the dhampir rudely out of the way. He blinked at her a few times, wondering what had gotten up her sleeve. Foolishly, he followed her to his study office where she’d ran into and kept trying to persuade her to at least open to him, even of that meant a storm of curse words and insults that would make a Sailor blush.
“Regina please, we can be civilized,” Enttu motioned with his hands, waving them in a “simmer-down” fashion.
She wasn’t having it though, and she hurled a spell book at him.
“I didn’t ask for this! You should have left me dead! Do you know that now, I can’t even see my family or my friends without the questioning?! I can’t even go back to Texas anymore because I’ll pulverize under the sun! Why, Enttu, why the fuck didn’t you just leave me the hell alone when you claim you saw me in downtown Bucharest? Am I even remotely close to what your wife was, or did you just choose me because you’re too scared to be alone anymore? You must be tired of pretending to be human and justify your killings! What makes you think that any woman is truly going to fall under the charm of a murderer?”
The dhampir sighed and crossed his arms.
“That is not fair, and I’ve already told you to stop referring to me as a murderer. You don’t know even know the half of what I’ve seen. And yes, you look exactly like my wife, but more and more, I see that you’re not her. She’s gone, gone forever. And she took me down with her. I’ve lost children too, Regina. Don’t think your human origins make you special. Last time I checked, humans murdered my wife, and then murdered me. I’m not supposed to be here, but I survived the staking,”
Regina squinted her eyes in anger and her lips quivered, ready to strike him if he kept on with his wishy-washy nonsense. One minute he was hot, and very in love with her, and the next he was cold and kept throwing his wife in her face, all while not wanting to let her go. At least now, as a vampire, she could fight him off, and it wouldn’t be hard to take him down since he was quite demure even though he was tall. She grabbed a fire poker and aimed the tip of it toward his chest as she brushed past him at the threshold.
“Move or I will bury this stick through that block of ice you call a heart,” she threatened.
He shook his head at her, and drove his piercing, cobalt eyes into the corners of her eyes, and she still felt vulnerable and exposed under his solemn gaze. Even in anger, his effect was polarizing and maybe even seductive.
“Tell me, besides your family. Have any humans truly been good to you once upon a time?”
“No, but it led me to you. And boy, what a fucking disappointment,”
“At least stay the day so you won’t burn to death. Sleep on the bed, and I’ll sleep in a coffin,” the dhampir told her. She dropped the poker at his feet and glided away towards the front doors.
“I’m ending this, and you can’t stop me,” she told him, as she undid the latches of the door.
He immediately understood what this meant and took it as her threat of suicide by daylight which is how he’d lost another lover before her. All these real nightmares seemed to repeat their history. He pushed her out of the way and blocked the doorway, and his brows furrowed in anger at such asinine stupidity on her part.
“I’m not going to lose you ever again,” he said.
“Enttu, move,”
“I won’t allow it,”
“You or no one can keep me here just because you need me at your disposal. I refuse, and I’d rather die free. Now I’d move or we’re both gonna die,”
The dhampir’s eyes widened as her threat became visible in her hands as little lightning bolts. Still, he refused to move, and eventually he’d end up taking a fatal hit of current. The current released from her fingertips and drove right into his chest, stopping his heart beat, and causing his body to convulse violently as the electricity suspended him. It threw his body against the door and then he dropped down to his knees, doubled over in severe pain that for a human, it would’ve been fatal. He surprised her when he rose back to his feet and hovered towards her, revenge spelt across his face. She didn’t have time to recover and form another jolt, and he cornered her against the wall next to a book case. He put his hands on her shoulders to calm her down and she attempted to slap his hand away.
“Stop touching me!” Regina screamed at him.
She was in angry tears, her emotions in too much of a stir for her to fight back. Her emotional wounds had re-opened from the trip or simulation rather likely of the Lower Astral Planes, and the dhampir sensed it was all too much for her to take in. He bit his wrist and rubbed some of his blood on her lips with his finger. It was enough to act as a calming elixir to her.
“I’m not call
ous, nor bipolar, nor cold hearted. I’m heart-broken. You have broken down barriers within me that I never even knew existed. Yes, painful memories will come, and they are inevitable. But I saved you because I love you. And I love you because, you saved me too,”
He was cut off when Regina grabbed him by the collar of his robe and pulled him close to her.
“Shut the fuck up already,”
His energy caused an electrifying warmth between them, and feeling his body pressed onto hers like this awoke her inner desire again. She parted her lips and kissed him softly, while gently grasping a clump of blonde hair which she pulled with just enough force to make him sigh lowly. He responded by taking both of her wrists and pinning them over her head as he pressed her up against the wall, while slipping his tongue inside of her lips. His fangs grazed her neck and he teasingly bit down just enough to draw a few droplets of blood. Regina moaned lightly and bit her lip, while his lips traveled down to her bosom, and his hands found their way here too. With a handful of breasts and his lips on her neck, he felt himself getting hard and couldn’t wait to have her once more like this. He dug his fingertips into the side of her hips underneath a satin black negligee she wore and kept kissing her more languorously. She would have melted into liquid sugar in his hands had she not been cold to his touch. He let her bite him, and she licked his neck while forcing his head back by pulling on his hair aggressively. Once she drank to her satisfaction, she felt her face become a bit flushed, and felt the warmth of blood prickling the skin of her breasts and her hardened nipples that he massaged with his fingertips. She couldn’t take it anymore and wanted so badly to feel him plunge deep inside of her.
He must have read her mind, and the next thing he did was drop to his knees and pull her thong down in one swift motion with both hands. He picked her up by hooking his arms behind her legs, and he placed her on top of his desk, and then worked his oral magic on her, licking and tasting her between her legs until she convulsed, and her orgasmic draught flowed onto his tongue. He perched over her and kissed her softly, before he grabbed her the small of her back and scooted to the edge of the desk. One of her legs was placed over his shoulder, and he held the other one spread apart before penetrating his throbbing length into the wound between her legs. She moaned sharply, as his body thrust violently inside of her, and their hips slammed together. He continued to tease her several more times with those hard, deep slams that she felt hit against her cervical walls, and then he finally picked up his rhythm a little bit faster, skin slapping against skin.
Her walls tightened around him in a wet grip of death indicating that she was coming, and as she threw her head back, his hand squeezed around her neck almost to the point of asphyxiation, had she not already been dead. It intensified her orgasm and she slickened his cock with her fluid. His grip loosened around her throat and he bent down to kiss her, all while smiling devilishly.
“You want more,” he whispered through breathy sighs.
“I want you to fuck me with all your vampire strength. I want you to destroy me,”
“Be careful what you wish for,” he replied.
From the edge of the desk, he grabbed a pair of his police-issued handcuffs and he cuffed her and held her arms above her head, as he pinned her up against the wall again. He then went on to fuck her as roughly as she wanted to be, while holding her legs spread open for him. They made a wet, slapping sound as he continued to slam his cock into her and she sung his name loudly into his ear. He grunted and moaned as her pussy tightened again from another imminent orgasm, and as soon as she did, he pulled out momentarily, to drink her climax dripping out of her. The smell of her excitation made him want to keep eating her out forever, and dare he think it, it was almost better than blood. An inner craziness awakened in him, and Regina moaned sharply. His forearms still held in her place with the support of his palms under her thighs, as his fangs broke the skin of her inner thigh. Oh yes, all the little veins and capillaries here were nice and thick, which meant a lot of flow of blood that filled his mouth. The mix of her female cum and blood was the most perfect drug he’d ever had, and his eyes reddened with the metaphysical glow of ecstasy.
With wet and reddened lips, he kissed her again, so she could taste herself, and some of the blood dripped down onto her bare breasts and his chest, until they were both a bloodied, grinding mess. They continued fucking, even harder now, so much that they created a dent in the wall, and Regina was bruised from her wrists, her hips, and inner thighs. Luckily, she would heal from it quickly. Enttu’s skin and blonde hair were slickened with sweat and blood, and his cheeks were flushed from the overwhelming pleasure threatening to bust out of him. His moaning escalated into grunts and “oh fucks” as Regina submitted to his painful, deep thrusts that drove into her, stabbing her g-spot repeatedly. She whimpered in raw pleasure as he drove upwards faster, and she locked him in place by wrapping her legs around his waist. His leg muscles were shaking and seizing but he kept going, until he felt himself getting weak from the pleasure and he couldn’t contain himself anymore. He growled into the air, fangs extended, and eyes glowing red as he came hard inside of her, forearms trembling as the held her thighs spread open against the wall. His warm seed kept shooting into her from his throbbing erection, and her liquids spilt onto his lap. With one single touch from his fingers, the handcuffs came off Regina’s wrists, and her arms which felt like lead, fell around the blonde vampire’s neck.
“Am I still a fucking disappointment?” he whispered, soft warm breath in her ear. She kissed the side of his sharp jawline, whilst caressing his head.
“Just a little bit,” she smart-assedly replied.
He scooped her in his arms and they floated up to his bedroom, where they lay nude in the comfort of each other’s warm and sweaty bodies that were cooling off back to their cold state. She fell to his side, and was cocooned in his strong, powerful arms, hands stroking up and down her back in such a relaxing motion that lulled her right to sleep. They were both weakened from sex and worn out in the best way possible. It seems that even as primal and physical as it was to reconcile with her, she felt he was genuine toward her, because of how openly he showered her with post-coital affection. She was used to getting up and driving off after a casual fuck. He’d proven to be so much more than this. Maybe she could have been falling for him, but the prospect of loving someone again in general still seemed a bit far-fetched. The stirring of the soup of thoughts in her brain mixed into a cloudy haze, and she felt herself falling from this world, back into dreamland. He cradled her in the safety of his arms and cocooned her with his body. The warrior vampire was transforming into a tender, vulnerable man that exposed the rawness of his heart as he fell deeper into love with her.
The loud flutter of helicopters flying high overhead caused trees to sway violently to one side as they ascended to their path toward the burning remains of the power plant on the outskirts of town. By now, several black and white patrol cars and fire engines were lined all alongside the road next to the plant. It was a rainy, overcast day and this made the fire easier to put out, but the highway patrol of the Bucharest Police still had to set up physical barriers such as orange cones to divert traffic. A tired Vittorio Celentano showed up in his older black sedan with a cup of espresso in his hand. He wore a grey wool coat to protect him from the chilly rain and the nastiness lingering in the air. It was about two in the afternoon and he didn’t get up until six to start his night shift at 11 PM give or take. His expression was that of someone who had just woken up abruptly, and he wasn’t in the mood to talk. The chief of police was on the scene, taking photos of what was possibly a crime scene due to the power plant’s maximum-security measures, making it impenetrable other than by the employees who worked here.
Marc was in the passenger’s seat of the sedan and besides himself, because everything that was happening explained why he hadn’t seen his older brother, Radu, for the past two days. His arms and legs fe
lt heavy with depression and his muscles ached from the response to the humidity. He had no desire to step out the car. The chief came over to Vittorio who stood outside of the sedan, leaning against the hood. The warmth of the fumes felt good against his back.
“Celentano. Ce faci?”
“I was sleeping. I suppose you’ve called me about the elephant in the room?”
“I will need for you and Marc to peruse the scene for evidence if this was a criminal act or if this was a terrible accident,”
Vittorio sipped some more coffee loudly, and he wiped his lips with the back of his hand, giving the chief of police the silent treatment. He kept staring dead ahead and squinting his eyes at something black and long behind the signal tower. When his vision cleared, he clearly saw that it was a pointy black obelisk that glowed an ominous dark purple, and momentarily, he saw the shadow of a reptilian beast flash in the mist before it disappeared.
“We need Tepes back, or I’m not doing this,” he replied, monotonal.
The chief of police felt his neck muscles tense up when Celentano dared to suggest this. How could he still want to work with that traitor?
“Tepes quit before I got the chance to fire him! You can’t get much help from him!”
“I beg to differ. Tepes was indispensable and you know it! I will not go in that building without Stefan at our side.”
“He never fit into our department. He’s a vampire, and we’re human!”
Several policemen who overheard this statement stopped whatever they were doing and turned to stare at the scene being caused
“I think he’s talking about that Stefan guy,” one cop said to the other.
“That guy? Isn’t he the same guy from that small band, Cold Iron, that goes by the name of Enttu? Like the legendary vampire?”
“Who knows, that guy is a nut case from what I hear. I’m so glad he got fired,”
