Logan stepped back from the landing. He no longer enjoyed the view. He chose instead to look over at the staircase leading to the first level and make his way below. He knew it would lead to a darkness once he reached the night air and further create an abyss in his mind.
Logan opened the heavy doors and strolled out of Chambers House. He saw the moon streaming in through the branches of the trees. He knew the stars were out there too. They would provide a twinkling light show as he made his way back to his empty life.
