At Ted’s suggestion, Tim Hartman joined us by agreeing to draw the Loucks’ barn, which appears as book’s frontis piece. Tim has been professionally acting, singing, writing, cartooning and storytelling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since 1982. Though known primarily for his work on the stage (including two appearances on Broadway), Tim is also an award-winning political cartoonist and storyteller. You can see more about Tim here: www.timhartman.com.

Thank you to my dear friend Bonnie Latino. Bonnie is a married to a wonderful man and veteran, Colonel Tom Latino. Tom and Bonnie are American patriots and supporters of our men and women in uniform. Bonnie, the author of the outstanding book Your Gift to Me (2014), has been both my editor and muse, but mostly a friend. She has a knack for telling me that I’m pretty good at this craft, especially when I feel like God skipped past me when he was passing out writing talent. Perhaps Bonnie is my Sam.

Thank you to my children Toby, Tara Beth, and Travis, and my son-in-law Jeff Leach. They are our living legacy and proof that we were here. If they are any reflection of this coming generation, we’re in great shape. Thank you. I love you all.

Now I get to rave about my grandsons! Thank you to the two incredible young men to whom this book is dedicated, Caleb Daniel Leach and Noah Moore Leach. The joy you bring to my life is indescribable. Never forget how much your Nana and Papa love you. Your Nana and Papa begin every morning praying for your happiness, health, safety and prosperity. Our greatest prayer is that grow up to be men of God, loving Him and loving others.

There are no adequate words of thanks and praise for the love of my life. Arlene Wigant Moore is a woman of great strength and deep faith. As I type this, we are approaching our fortieth wedding anniversary. For this reason alone, I consider myself the luckiest man on earth. Thank you, Arlene, for hanging with me for all these years. I promise you, our best years together are in our future and not in our past.

Above are a partial list of my friends and family. They are blessings in my life, so I am compelled to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from whom all blessings flow. Thank you for my friends, family, career and opportunities. I pray that I reflect You through all that I do.
