True Blue Love: The Thorns, Book 3 Page 4

by Melissa Lopez

He grunted, grasping onto her shoulder. For some reason, he doubted Kaycee met many people she thought of any other way but nice.

“I hate to leave. The night has been so perfect.” Her head lolled back against his chest. “But I guess we’d better head back, huh?”

Christ, he hated to see the night end too.

“Whenever you’re ready.” Gently, he massaged both of her shoulders.

“I’m ready.” As her head dropped forward, her arse pressed back into him to send a jolt of arousal through his blood. Lust rushed through him. His prick stiffened. His hands tightened in their caressing.

“Keep that up, and I’ll be a puddle of American goo.”

Liking the sound of that, his prick went ramrod hard. His breath turned ragged as he continued to administer to her shoulders and upper back.

“Oh, I like that.” Her hands reached back to urge his hips forward. His prick pressed into her. “Oh, Miller. I like that even better.” She wiggled out of his embrace to swivel around. Standing up on tiptoe, she kissed him below his ear. “Let’s go so you can make love to me.”

Grabbing her arse, he growled. He liked the sound of that a bloody lot.

Instead of taking her to a campsite as they’d discussed on the flight over, he pulled up to a resort hotel. He had called for reservations during one of her piss breaks.

“This doesn’t look like somewhere we can pitch a tent.”

“I want you to be comfortable.” He wanted her relaxed while he fucked her senseless.

“Thank you.” Her lips turned up. Even in the dim light of the parking lot, he could see her dimples. “But, you’re already paying for a hotel to store my belongings overnight. Let me cover this one.”

“No worries.” He leaned over and buzzed her irresistible mouth. “Stay put. You’re safer in here away from the bugs.”

  “But…”

His hand slipped into her hair to urge her to him. In a deep kiss, he savored the wine she’d drunk earlier that lingered on her tongue. “I’ll make this as quick as I can.”

In his opinion, too much time passed between checking in and getting back to Kaycee. His prick thickened in anticipation of the hours ahead. Eagerness lengthened his stride back to the truck.

  Sex.

He’d never looked forward to sex so much before. Had never had a reason to.

She disengaged the locks at his knock on the window. “All set?” she asked, when he climbed in.

Sweat beaded his palms. “Eh.” He backed up and swung the truck around to go park. He killed the engine.

  “Miller?”

  “Eh?” He regarded her.

“Kiss me again.” Kaycee leaned over, offering him her mouth. “I’ve been wanting one since you left me.”

Chest tightening, he cut her off with his lips. He tried to be gentle, though her moan provoked a part of him he’d never encountered before her.

“Hmm.” Her lips plucked at his. “You’re the best kisser.”

What a little fruit loop she was. He could count on his hand the amount of women he’d kissed. Though he’d fucked plenty of escorts, he hadn’t kissed any. Not since Emily had he spent so much time in lip lock.

Only Kaycee made him feel this lustful, this tender.

She moaned deeply, and he withdrew from the kiss. “Let’s get inside, sheila.”

No sooner did he follow Kaycee into the room, than he dropped the bags. He straightened up to find her unbuttoning her shirt. Once all the buttons were undone, she let the material slide down her arms to drop to the floor.

His mouth watered at the sight of her breasts held in the cups of her bra. She had the finest rack he’d ever drooled over.

His balls drew up at the sight of her boots already off. Had she untied them in the truck? Quickly, he removed his shirt. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he yanked off his boots and socks too. He didn’t take his gaze from her. She slipped off her socks. Shimmied her jeans down over her hips and curvy thighs to kick them off.

Her bra fell to the floor, leaving her breasts fully exposed to his gaze. Her nipples hardened under his stare.

He stood. Plucking the condom from the pocket he’d put it in earlier, he shucked his jeans off.

Three steps put him in front of her, only to have her back up against the wall. He followed to brace a fisted hand on the wall. The other hand came up to rest on her pussy. Her panties were damp to his touch.

At the press of his fingers, she spread her legs, grasped onto his arm and shoulder.

He worked his fingers around her hot spot until she whimpered. “Please, Miller.”

A shudder racked his body. His balls tightened in warning. His prick pulsed in need. Oh, fuck. The plea set him on edge. Made him feel alive. Wanted.

“Oh, please…” She rolled her hips as her nails dug into his skin.

Hand trembling, he delved beneath her panties. His fingers burrowed into the swollen folds of her soaked pussy.

  Through parted lips, she panted.

Urgently, he attempted to remove her panties with the hand that held the condom.

“Oh, yes.” She reached down and helped lower them. Together, they got them low enough for him to use a foot to get them to her ankles.

In earnest, he finger fucked her, his thumb teasing her clit.

“Kiss me.” She rolled her hips, her hands clutching at him.

The request nearly brought him to his knees.

He did. No sooner did his lips claim hers than her body tensed, strained in climax. With his lips he adored her. His prick jerked with each squeeze of her hidden muscles on his fingers. He worked her clit until her eyes opened.

Only then did he pull away to roll the condom on. Catching her arse up in his hands, he lifted her up to impale her on his rigid prick.

“Miller!” Her cry rattled his control. His knees trembled.

“Did I hurt you?” He groaned between his teeth. She was so bloody tight. Her legs and arms hugged him close.

“No. No. You feel so good.” She panted into his ear. “I just don’t want you to hurt yourself.”

“What?” He rocked up, shoving his hard muscle deeper.

“Oh…” Her teeth caught the skin on his shoulder only a second before she sucked on him. Marked him.

  He shuddered.

Oh, fuck. She made him so hot.

“Sheila…” He growled, loving the feel of her mouth on him. Her arms and legs around him. And her pussy caressing him so intimately.

“Love me.” Her lips nibbled on his earlobe. “Love me, Miller.”

  Oh, fuck.

  Release. He needed release.

Eyes closed, in an attempt to hold back his come, he gave her what she wanted. His prick. He’d discovered in the shower she liked to be rode hard. And now, he was merciless with his thrusts. He kept them short and fast with the slightest bend of his knees.

With his body he worshiped her.

Shaking, he hammered into her welcoming depths, wringing gasps and moans from her parted lips.

His mind buzzed high on lust.

He pounded his prick into her sucking depths.

“Miller…” Ecstasy grabbed hold of her with the tensing of her body. She groaned, her body convulsing around his driving muscle.

Sweat poured down his body while he continued to plow his way to climax. He grunted, groaning, strained until his come rushed forward in bursts.

His mind cleared somewhat as her hands traveled over his shoulders. Her pussy still gripped him tightly.

Chest heaving for breath, he eased her down to her feet allowing him to slip from her body. Still trying to calm his heart, he placed his head against hers. Her hands ran up to rest on his chest. One rested over his heart.

“You all right?” Christ, he’d been rough with her. The tenderness she stirred in him returned to constrict his chest.

“Yes.” She pressed a kiss to his chin. “But I’m going to clean up.”

He grunted, stepping back. On the w
ay to the bathroom, he pulled the condom off. Dropped it in the trashcan before he pissed.

Once he turned around, he met a red-faced Kaycee. She’d put his T-shirt on to cover her body. “You didn’t lift the seat up or close the door.” She laughed lightly.

Bloody hell, mate. He’d forgotten that Cohen had told him more than once Hayleigh got pissy at him over such things. “Sorry.” For a moment, they shared the archway.

Long lashes lowered over her stormy gaze. “You’re forgiven.” She rose up on her tiptoes, parting her lips in invitation.

The invite wasn’t one he’d ever pass up. Not from the Yank. He brushed his mouth over hers.

Miller listened to the rhythm of the water as Kaycee showered. Or tried to.

Kaycee had blown his bloody mind. Sex. He couldn’t wrap his mind around how good the fucking was with her. Maybe it was because he’d had so much of it since meeting her. Heavy sexual activity was a new experience for him. One he greatly appreciated. But the fact his attraction might be something else had wormed its way into his mind more than once that day.

No. He was thinking with his prick like some youth.

  The sex was great.

  And, that was that.

His cell rang as the shower turned off. He reached over and picked it up from where he’d put it before he’d gotten into bed. Noting the number, he thought about letting voice mail pick up, but in the end pressed talk. “G’day.”

“M?” His brother Ethan’s voice sounded as if he was a great distance away. And in fact, he was. Over a thousand kilometers away across the Land of Oz

“Never known anyone else to answer my phone.”

“I left a message a couple hours ago.”

He pushed up to lean back on the headboard. “I turned my phone off.” He’d planned to call his brother back in the morning.

“I’ve never known you to turn your cell off.”

His brother knew him well. Unless in a no-service area, his phone had always remained on. First time for everything, Miller supposed. He hadn’t wanted any interruptions during dinner. “What’s up?”

  “Denae had our baby.”

He closed his eyes. “Congratulations to you both.”

  “Thanks, mate.”

  “M?”

  “Eh?”

  “We had a son.”

  “A boy. That’s excellent.”

  “We named him Miller.”

His chest constricted over the surprise. Fuck. They’d named the little ankle-biter after him.

  “Did you hear me, mate?”

“Eh, I did. Give Denae my thanks.” He swallowed, finding it more difficult than ever to remain pissed at his brother. Up until the moment he’d learned of his brother’s affair with Denae, they’d been best mates. The affair he’d gotten over. The lack of loyalty from his brother he hadn’t been able to.

For the past two years, Ethan had made numerous efforts to repair their relationship. But while he could forgive and hoped the best for his brother, he couldn’t forget… He forced the surfacing resentment down. “I’m right honored.”

Christ, they’d named their son after me.

  That said a lot.

“Are you all right?” Kaycee’s hand rested on his chest. “You look tense.”

He hadn’t heard her leave the bathroom. “Eh, one of my brothers.” He pointed to the phone.

“Oh, sorry. I’ll give you a few minutes then.”

Unblinking, he watched her arse shake as she withdrew to the bathroom.

  “Big M?”

“Eh?” He sat up and followed her. “Hold on a sec.” He knocked on the door. “Kaycee?”

She opened it. “Call over already?”

He glanced down at the cell in his palm. “You don’t have to wait in there.”

“Are you sure?” She folded her arms over her chest. “I wanted to give you some privacy.”

  “I’m sure.”

“Okay, then.” Her hand trailed across his chest, stirring arousal as she passed by.

At the bed, she slipped under the sheet.

  “E?”

  “Yeah, mate?”

“How’s Denae?” He sat on the edge of the mattress, his back to Kaycee.

“Oh, fuck.” Ethan groaned. “Don’t ever have any ankle-biters. Labor’s the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through.”

That was saying a lot, considering E was a rescue swimmer. “You saying it was worse than the jellyfish sting?” Fuck, the man worked in dangerous waters. But their brother, Cohen, had said the same thing after all four of his daughters had been born. Yet he and Hayleigh kept having them.

“M, watching De suffer in labor almost killed me.”

So had the bloody jellyfish. It was one of the few times he’d gotten their mum to leave the station.

  “Mate, you got company?”

His back stiffened. Indecision hammered his brain.

  “Who’s Kaycee?”

She wasn’t someone he wanted to talk about. Not someone he wanted to share. There was no need. She’d be history tomorrow. His hand tightened on the cell. Tomorrow. “I’ve got to get some rest.”

“M, you hang up on me, and I swear to Christ, I’m not fucking calling back.” Anger resonated in Ethan’s voice. It gave Miller pause. But not for long. If Ethan was looking for more of a reaction over the baby, over anything, he wasn’t giving it. Especially not with Kaycee there.

“Congratulations, mate.” He ran his fingers through his hair. “Give De and little Nate my best.” Mentioning their oldest son reminded him the boy had a birthday coming up.

“Fuck. I’m done.” Ethan cursed before he hung up.

The muscles across his shoulders knotted. Bloody hell. What had Ethan wanted him to say? He’d gone to Ethan and Denae’s wedding like his mother had wanted. Hell, he’d even stood at E’s side as he’d been expected to, along with their brother, Cohen. But that’d been it.

A time or two when Ethan had called him, he’d been civil. And last year when Denae had called and told them E was in the hospital, he’d flown their mum and Cohen to his bedside.

But it didn’t matter what Ethan said, what his mum said… He couldn’t forget Ethan had had an affair with the woman he’d been about to marry. Worse, his brother hadn’t said a single word about it as the months had passed. His brother’s silence had been a betrayal. Ethan had made him feel like a bloody fool. And he refused to be a fool for anyone.

“Hey.” Kaycee’s arms linked over his shoulders from behind. She hugged him. “You okay?” She kissed the side of his face while he cradled the phone in his hands. “You’re very quiet.”

He grunted, knowing damn well talking wasn’t one of his strong suits.

“I don’t mind that you’re a man of few words. My mom and…” She ran her fingers through the hair on his chest. “Well, that doesn’t matter, I can tell you’re tense.”

  “My brother had a son.”

“Oh, how exciting.” She gasped, hugging him. “Congratulations.”

“Thanks.” The show of excitement pleased him. Hell, she didn’t even know his brother, yet she was glad for them.

“So, give me the details. Ten fingers? Ten toes? How much did he weigh?”

He grunted. He probably should have asked.

  “Was the labor difficult?”

“Eh. Ethan compared it to the sting of a box jellyfish.”

“Holy snap.” She laughed. “I’m sure it was worse for the baby’s mother.”

The corner of his mouth curled up. She was so animated. Every one of her smiles, every one of her touches, every reaction she had, gave him a jolt of something addictive. Something unexplainable. “They named the ankle-biter after me.”

“Oh, Miller.” Wet lips pressed to his cheek in a kiss. “I bet you’re so proud.”

“Eh, I am.” He couldn’t be more honored. He supposed it was time he stopped being a pig’s arse and told his brother so.

  Chapter Four

  Miller woke to Kayce
e’s attempt to wiggle out from under the weight of his arm and leg.

“I’ve got to go to the bathroom.”

He groaned, rolling over onto his back. She had to piss a lot. More than he did. He’d noted that on the flight over from Sydney. There was so much he didn’t know about women.

The door had no sooner shut than she cried out.

“Kaycee?” Apprehensive he sprang off the bed, heading to find her. What could be wrong? A spider? It was a possibility since huntsman spiders had been known to make a grown man scream.

“Holy shit.” She yanked the door open.

Had he heard right? Had she cursed?

  “You left the seat up.”

“What?” He blinked, trying to see into the darkened room. “Are you hurt?”

“I nearly had a heart attack when I fell into the toilet.”

“What?” Amusement rumbled in his chest.

“Miller, are you laughing at my wet bottom?” She flipped the light on.

He blinked as his eyes adjusted. “No, sheila.” He tried not to look at her so she wouldn’t see his grin. But dammit, he’d forgotten. At home, it was just mum and him. And he had his own pisser.

“Oh, Miller…” Her dimples flashed his way. “You’ve got the nicest smile I’ve ever seen.” She placed a forearm across her forehead. “Truly, I may swoon…from my suddenly weak knees.”

“Sheila.” He growled, taking a step forward.

She brought her palms up, resting them on his chest. “You’re so, so dreamy when you smile. But still, I must punish you for your lapse in good manners.”

“What?” His heart thumped under her caressing fingers. Need stirred, thickening his prick. “What’d you say?” Surely, he’d heard wrong.

“No sleep for you. You must wash my bottom. Bathe me.” Her warm lips trailed across his collarbone. After kissing the underside of his chin, she left him to pile her hair up on her head and start the shower.

“Be right back.” His stiff prick led the way. He collected protection and joined her.

Naked, she stood under the spray of water. Rivulets ran down her breasts and belly over her hips.
