“Then let it be, YaYa,” Ethic said. He turned her face toward his and kissed her. The sweet taste of her tongue invaded his mouth as she climbed into his lap. “Be with me.” His words were a command. He wanted this woman more than he had ever wanted any other before her.
“I can’t,” she moaned between kisses. She never pulled away. She couldn’t. She was defenseless when it came to Ethic. He could feel her heart racing as his own thundered in his chest. He pulled her top over her head and grabbed a handful of her breasts as he tweaked her nipples with his thumbs. YaYa reached for his pants, exposing him. He was begging her to free him. His hardness pressed into her, and she couldn’t resist. It was like they were in heat, and the only way to douse the flames was to drench themselves in her wetness. Ethic ripped the fabric of her panties, and she gasped as she lowered herself on top of him. He filled her up so nicely, so perfectly, almost as if God had designed them as a matching pair.
“Don’t leave me, beautiful,” Ethic whispered as he watched her ride him. Her hands were clasped behind his neck, and she rolled her body into him, then back, into him, then back. Her mouth fell open, and he bit his lip.
“I love you,” she whispered. “So much.” Her words came out in pants, and she went harder. She was riding him slow but grinding him with so much passion that it made his toes curl. It didn’t take long for her to come. It never did with him. It was like he had read the manual to her body and knew how it worked better than any other. She still straddled him as she stared in his eyes.
“You know this is my baby,” he said as he placed a hand to her growing stomach.
“We don’t know that,” she whispered. That fact still embarrassed her.
“You know you’re my baby,” he countered.
“I know that,” she whispered with a nod as he kissed her lips. She stood, and he followed her to the bed. “Can you hold me?” she asked. She laid down on her side, and he wrapped his arm around her. He could tell his presence soothed her by the way she exhaled. He valued her. He made her feel safe. Ethic appreciated her in ways that only a man who had experienced loss before could. YaYa sniffled as her tears returned. Loyalty was making her give up this once-in-a-lifetime love. He was losing her. With every minute that passed by on the clock he knew that these were his last moments with her. He entered her from behind and rocked in and out of her slowly, giving her great pleasure as she whimpered at his every touch. “Tell me you don’t love this. What I do to you, how I make you feel,” he whispered in her ear as he kissed the back of her neck.
“I love it,” she moaned. “I love you so much.”
This man, this beautifully sculpted, mentally advanced, spiritually sound, emotionally stable black man was a god.
He spilled his all into her. His seed, his love, his sadness, his honor, his desperation, his anger, all of it went into his stroke until she screamed out his name as her love came down. She fell asleep in his arms, and Ethic tried to keep his eyes open for as long as he could because he knew once he closed them, when he awoke she would be gone. He wanted to live in this moment forever. He wanted to be mad at her. This was the second time she had come into his life only to leave him dry, but he would rather have her for a little while than not have her at all. That’s how brilliant her love was.
“Daddy! Someone is here for you!”
Bella’s voice snapped him out of his daydream, and he squeezed the bridge of his nose to control his emotions. He stood, blowing out hot air as he squared his shoulders. When he had awakened, YaYa was gone, and with her she took his happiness. Ethic walked into the living area of the suite and saw Einstein at the door.
“Here is the paperwork you requested. I’ve highlighted where you need to sign,” Einstein said.
Ethic grabbed the folder and removed the documents.
“That’s a lot of money to leave another man’s wife,” Einstein commented.
“She can take a hundred thousand out annually, right?” Ethic asked.
“That’s correct,” Einstein replied.
Ethic signed the documents and then handed the paperwork to Einstein. There was no way he was leaving YaYa in New York, pregnant with a child that could be his, without securing a future for her. She may not have chosen him, but until he knew the results of the paternity test, he would take care of her whether she wanted him to or not. Einstein made his exit, and Ethic turned to Bella and Ezra Jr.
“You look sad, Daddy,” Bella said.
Ethic smiled. She was growing up on him. Just the fact that she noticed his melancholy meant he wasn’t hiding it well enough.
“I’m fine, Bella,” he replied as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into him to kiss the top of her head. “Let’s go home.”
Ethic was ready to leave New York, and regrettably he was leaving YaYa behind. He wasn’t sure if he would ever find a woman that made him feel complete. It seemed that every time he had love in his grasp, it seeped through his fingertips. Maybe love was like water; maybe it wasn’t supposed to be held. Maybe love wasn’t in his cards at all. Only time would tell.
