“Technically you owe me lunch, you know?” Darren said as he sat down.

“I know, please forgive me. Some things came up.”

“Its OK, you can always make it up to me.”

Jordan smirked. “I will,” she replied.

  “I’m looking forward to it.”

It was obvious the meeting was taking a left turn rather quickly, so Jordan tried to regain control before it went too far.

“So how did the meeting go between you and your partners?”

“It went pretty well actually, but there are still several outstandingissues that we have to tend to.”

“Do you have any of the contracts or notes from the meetingwith you?”

“Actually, I don’t. I left them at my office.”

“How do you expect to make any progress when I can’t see any of the documents?” Jordan asked.

Darren stood up and began to walk toward Jordan’s chair. Jordan’s eyes remained locked on him the entire time.

“We can make a lot of progress without the documents,” Darren said.

Jordan remained speechless as Darren made his way toward her. It was as if the fire inside of her was all dampened out, becausethere was no question that Jordan’s instincts would’ve normally kicked in by now and kept him at bay. Instead, she allowedhim to get closer and eventually place himself on her desk before her chair and lean over her.

“Darren,” Jordan said. “I don’t think—”

“Don’t think,” Darren interrupted. “Just let me do.”

Darren was caressing Jordan’s shoulder, and although she pretended not to notice, she did. One thing that she decided made the most sense was his advice not to think. That’s all Jordanever did was overthink. Before she could get out her delayedresponse, Darren was leaned over, kissing on her neck. Thoughts were running through Jordan’s head, one of them being Jayon. The little guy on her shoulder that was telling her to stop him and pull herself together was being out-screamed by the guy on the other shoulder telling her “Go ahead, why not? What are you saving it for? Another husband or best friend?” The more her thoughts of anger and pain resurfaced, the more into it she got. Before she realized it, his hands were caressing her breasts and his tongue was in her mouth. Seconds later, all within one motion, he had picked her up and placed her on the desk.

At this point, Jordan didn’t need to convince herself anymore. She had decided to just go with the flow and enjoy the ride. He had begun to remove her shirt while simultaneously kissing on her. It seemed he didn’t want to take any breaks in the foreplay so that she couldn’t change her mind. He had scooted up her skirt, licked his lips, and headed downtown. For a split second, Jordan couldn’t believe what was happening. After only seconds of being down there, Jordan leaned back on her desk in ecstasy, erasing her prior thoughts. Darren knew what he was doing, and it quickly became apparent where all of his confidence and boldness came from. Jordan was overwhelmedwith pleasure as she squirmed and moaned on her desk. She could tell that she was going to have one of her Top 10 fastest orgasms. Sure enough, moments later, Jordan’s body was tightening up with joy.

Once Darren was done, he stood up with a smile and began to back away from the desk. Jordan could tell that what he had in mind was to leave her with that gem, but Jordan couldn’t let it go like that. She quickly placed her hand on his side and guided him to sit in the seat behind him. When Jordan placed her hand in front of his face and requested protection, Darren didn’t hesitate to reach in his back pocket and oblige. After he placed on a condom he was carrying in his wallet, Jordan began to straddle him. She carefully placed her legs around the chair and over his lap to allow easy entry. Jordan slowly lowered herself onto him, and they both made a quiet noise as he snuggled insideof her. Jordan then slowly rose a few inches and lowered again. She repeated this motion continuously as they both reveledin the sensation.

“You wanted it. Now you got it,” Jordan whispered in his ear as she lowered onto his penis for another stroke.

“Yes, and it’s more than I ever expected,” Darren said back.

Jordan slowly lifted up until the tip of his penis was barely inside of her, and she held herself there for a moment.

“You sure you can handle it? You want to give up?” Jordan asked.

Darren smirked, but his facial expression told her that it was too good for him to give up.

“Stop playing,” Darren said as he placed his hands on Jordan’swaist and lowered her back down.

His aggression and horniness was turning Jordan on even more, and she began to slightly wind her hips as she moved up and down on top of him. Jordan was enjoying the ride just as much as he was enjoying being ridden. Jordan never expected she would do something like this, but she had to admit that she was taking the attorney-client privilege to the next level.

It was as if the girl had studied long and hard as to what she was going to say back to Jordan. Four weeks had gone by since Jordan sent Randi that e-mail cursing her out for being a home wrecker, and Randi was just now writing back. She probably asked every friend she had what their opinion was on strategically choosing every word in the e-mail. One thing was for sure: she didn’t know much about Jordan, because if she did, she would know that she would never win the battle.

When Jordan signed on to her computer that morning, she saw a familiar e-mail in her inbox, and it took only seconds for her to recognize the address. The e-mail read:

  Dear Jordan,

Although you chose to resort to name calling I’m going to rise above your immaturity. You can blame me all that you want, but I am not the one who was committed to you. I do not even know you; Jayon on the other hand broke interest, not I. I won’t deny that I knew about you, but you are not my problem or concern. I knew Jayon, we became acqaintances, we got to know each other better, I wanted something, and I took it. If he respected you and cared enough about you, maybe I wouldn’t have got what I wanted, but I did and it was always great. As for him not respecting me, I guess that makes two of us because he didn’t respect you either. Many nights he left my house having been inside of me, and came to your house and was then inside of you, and you call me nasty. For your sake, you better hope I’m not. You say I can have Jayon, but I don’t think I needed your permission, but I will take him and continue to enjoy him. You take care of yourself now, and maybe I’ll see you soon.

  Razzy Randi

“Dumb bitch, can’t even spell acquaintances right,” Jordan said aloud to herself as soon as she finished reading it. Jordan was fuming mad. She wanted to punch a hole in the wall, she was so mad. She felt like the punk rock-and-roll kids who damaged their rooms and threw stuff everywhere when they got mad. How dare this ho write her and have the nerve to have no shame in her game. Jordan knew that she couldn’t respondunder these conditions. Not only would she just flip out and curse her out, only showing that she had gotten to her, but she knew that she wouldn’t get her point across. So instead, Jordan called Jayon to curse him out until she could calm down enough to respond to that trifling tramp.

Jayon answered on the third ring. He sound surprised yet excited to see Jordan’s name appear on his phone. Jordan’s tongue rolled off the second he said hello.

“You tell your bitches don’t let my law degree fool them. I will meet that bitch in her driveway and beat her ass, you understand me?”

“What are you talking about?” Jayon said, sounding confusedand nervous.

“You used to come to my house and have sex with me after you had sex with her? You fucking asshole!”

“No, I never did that. What happened?”

“Jayon, don’t act innocent. I am tired of your act. Enough. You don’t have to pretend anymore. I am not your girl no more. You can put on that charade for your new girlfriend. I just want the fucking truth.”

“I am telling you the truth. I never left her house and came to yours, ever. And I don’t have a new girlfriend.”

  “Well, accord
ing to Randi, y’all are together now, and you used to bring your dirty dick to me after you were done screwing her and put it inside of me, and Jayon I swear I will cut your fucking balls off if I find out that’s true. You better change your fucking locks,” Jordan said, and she hung up the phone.

Luckily, Jordan’s office door was closed, because in her rage of fury she didn’t stop to think if anybody could hear her. She sat in her office chair, buried her face in her hands, and let out a scream. She shook her head back and forth until the inevitabletears rolled out of her eyes. It didn’t matter how strong she tried to be, she was hurting so much inside. She missed the hell out of Jayon and hated him to death all at the same time. She didn’t understand how he could do this to her, how he could tell so many lies and ruin so many plans. One thing that bitch Randi said that was right was Jayon had just as little respect for her as he did Randi, if not less. At least Randi wasn’t lied to; at least Randi wasn’t full of love for a man that would end up causing her such heartache. She may not respect herself, but at least she didn’t have to worry about anyone else hurting her. Dumb bitch.

Jordan had finally pulled herself together; she went into her office bathroom and washed her face. She couldn’t let this chick and Jayon, who wasn’t worth it, get her down anymore. Jayon had tried calling her back twice already, but Jordan had nothing else to say to him. Jordan went about her workday as if her terrible morning never happened. If Jordan was in the mood, she would’ve forwarded the e-mail to Dakota and Chrasey and got them all riled up so she could have a battery in her back when she replied. Thing was, Jordan wasn’t in the mood. She had decided that if she responded, it wasn’t going to be now. Besides, she knew Randi was waiting for her response, and Jordan figured she could wait. By the time Jordan wrote back, it was going to be all that she had to say.

It was the end of the day, and Jordan had calmed down over what Randi had written to her. When it crossed her mind throughout the day, she felt her blood boiling up again, but she just kept trying to ignore it.After a while, Jordan knew that she wasn’t going to be able to forget it until she replied and gave Randi a piece of her mind. So just before Jordan closed up her office and headed home, she sat down and responded to Razzy Randi’s e-mail.

I resorted to name calling, because ho that’s what you are. You pride yourself on going after what you wanted, but if that’s all you wanted was some sex from somebody else’s man that ’s pretty damn pathetic, and just in case you haven’t heard that’s what makes you a ho. I will rise above my own immaturity and even apologize for the name calling, because there’s no need for that. You look at yourself in the mirror everyday, you know you got issues. Every woman knows, misery loves company. You’re single, grown and alone and you’re miserable. So you figure flirting with and trying to take another woman’s man means something. Randi, every man chases pussy that’s dangled in their face, get serious and then gain some respect for yourself and people’s relationships. Not for me, but for yourself; because if by chance one day you do FINALLY get your own man you will want some respect given to you.

The usual thing is to tell you you’re ugly and I don’t see what he see’s in you, but that’s not necessary. You aren’t ugly, you’re a decent-looking chick, and problem is that’s all you got. You think cause you have a decent career, I say decent because—let’s face it—you’re not balling, and you have somewhat of a cute face and body that you are the shit; but it’s apparent you don’t have shit else. It’s apparent because to be the shit, you have to know your worth and obviously you don’t if you are willing to settleto be the side chick. You see how you said he left your house several nights to come to mine—he LEFT YOU to COME to ME, that should tell you something. Even worse you knew that he left you for me and you allowed him to do it to me, which sums it up right there. Sure he is to blame, because he is the one that betrayedmy trust, but it’s women with no respect like yourself that allow him and men to do that kind of dirt. Let me guarantee you one thing, I will NEVER be that woman getting left. My men come home to me; my place is not the pit stop on the way to their wifey. So as long as you’re good with being that pit stop, you will still remain the nasty slore I informed you were two weeks ago. We clear?

Now you take care of yourself, and hope to see you around.

  Jordan Moore, Esq.

P.S. You did need my permission, because if I didn’t say so he would still be coming home to me. I unlike you respect myself, I don’t share. So enjoy.

(Although according to him, you are still just the meager pit stop so I guess you’re still enjoying what little he gives you. So sad.)

Jordan didn’t look the e-mail over; she didn’t even do a spell check. She just finished her last sentence and hit SEND. She said what she had to say, and she was done. She had a couplemore things to say to Jayon as well, but she figured it could wait, and if she still wanted to tell him later, then she would let him know another time.

Jordan packed her things up, turned off all the lights, locked her office door behind her, and headed home.

The entire ride home she was still thinking about what she had said to Randi in her e-mail; she analyzed what else she should have said and what she shouldn’t have said. It was too late to retract the e-mail, but she was hoping that Randi felt as low and slutty as she wanted her to feel. Jordan hated girls that would just settle for anything and had no self-respect, and Randi was just that type of chick. Jordan’s car swerved through traffic on the LIE as she rushed home to just change her clothes and try to get some peace of mind.

As Jordan pulled up in front of her house, she saw the UPS man standing at her front door. Jordan pulled into her drivewaytrying to remember if she was expecting anything. As she pulled into her driveway, the five feet eleven, brown-skinned delivery guy turned and faced Jordan. Sitting on the floor besidehim was a huge brown box.

“Are you Jordan Moore?” he said to her as she stepped out of the car.

  “Yes,” she said.

“This is for you,” he replied.

Jordan stepped out of the car, grabbed her briefcase and walked toward the young man. He extended the electronic machine for her to sign, and Jordan took the pen with her free hand and signed for the package.

“Do you mind bringing it inside my porch, please?” Jordan asked him.

“Sure,” he said as he lifted the box to bring it inside.

Jordan keyed into her house and held the door open for him to place the box down inside the house. He placed the huge box down on the floor by the living room entryway, and headed back toward the front door.

  “Thanks,” Jordan said.

“You’re welcome, have a good day,” he said as he headed toward the truck parked in front.

Jordan closed the door behind him, walked into the living room and kicked off her navy blue pumps and removed her suit jacket. She sat there for only a few seconds before she jumped up to see what was in the box.

She walked over to the box and began to pull at the flaps. She couldn’t break through at first so she used her nails to poke the tape. After she pulled the first flap she saw another white box inside with a piece of paper on top. She ripped the paper off the box and opened it. After looking at the slip, Jordan noticedthe box held a fifty-inch flat-screen television. Jordan immediatelylooked over the paper to see where the television came from, and she saw Marcus Shields. Jordan couldn’t understandwhy he sent her a television, so she instantly went to her cell phone and called him.

He answered the phone on the third ring.

  “Hello,” he said.

“I have a fifty-inch flat-screen television sitting in my living room. Do you happen to know anything about this?” Jordan said with a hint of sarcasm.

Marcus giggled. “My bad, babe, I meant to tell you. I orderedit for my bedroom but I was out of town for a few days so I put your address down.”

“That would have been nice to know,” Jordan replied.

“I’m sorry. I meant to tell you, but it slipped my
mind.”

“That’s fine, it will be here when you get home,” she said.

“The next package will be a gift from me to you, for being such a sweetheart,” he replied.

Jordan had no intention of making evenings with Marcus a habit, but this wasn’t the first time she was home alone and looking forward to his company. Earlier he had called and said he was going to stop by on his way home from a meeting. The last time he came by, they didn’t do anything but watch television,so Jordan didn’t interpret his visit as a booty call. Still, when she got out of the shower, she prepared to do the do just in case. She put on, of course, a matching bra and panty set, Victoria’s Secret, and she lotioned up to everywhere, including her nooks and crannies with her smell-good stuff. Then, to disguisethe effort, she put on a white and pink T-shirt with some pink boy shorts.

It was a Wednesday night and Jordan had only been home for about two hours herself, but she had some time to kill beforebedtime and she didn’t mind the company. She contemplatedmaking dinner but quickly decided against it. She wasn’t doing anything special for no man, because it wasn’t worth it. She didn’t want to take her anger toward Jayon out on Marcus, but she couldn’t help the way she felt. Jordan was lying on the couch cuddled up with a throw pillow, watching the late episodeof Oprah. She thought Marcus would be there by now, but he never did give an exact time, and she damn sure wasn’t calling him to see where he was. He was not her man and she was not his girl. Where he was was none of her business, and she wanted to keep it that way. It was a lot less stressful not having to worry about somebody and what they were doing and if they were being faithful. At least this way she just assumedthe worst.

It was about nine thirty when the bell finally rang. Jordan got up and walked toward the door, then shouted “Who is it?” as she got closer. Without waiting for a response, she pulled the door open. Jordan’s mouth instantly went dry, and her eyes opened wide at the sight of Jayon standing on her front steps. The left part of her brain said slam the door, but she was still frozen from the shock and was speechless. Before she could finally react, Jayon walked past her and started talking.
