In the lift, he pushed on the ground floor button and then moved around to lean his back against the wall. As the lift descended, his eyes were on me the whole time.
“Have you been eating well when I’m not around?” he asked.
I nodded. He moved forward and cupped my face with his large, strong hand. I felt his warmth radiating to me, and it made me feel at ease and comforted.
“You’re still too thin for my liking,” he said darkly, his eyes roved over every inch of me.
I licked my lips and said, “I have been eating properly. I haven’t been skipping meals.”
Truth be told, I had never skipped meals on purpose. I simply forgot to eat. It was just habit. One simply got used to not being fed, right?
He wasn’t satisfied with this. “I’ll make suggestions to the chef to make you something both delicious and healthy.”
I nodded. I’d admit that the chef William hired full time to work in his kitchen was amazing. His food was simply delicious and I had no complaints where that was concerned. I had eaten more good meals since I had come to live with William than I had ever had when I had been living with Dad and Marie. Money in that house went to alcohol and gambling, not food or the mortgage.
The elevator door dinged opened and William walked out, with me following behind him.
Outside, the cool night air danced and brushed seductively against my skin. I smiled and inhaled deeply. Already, I felt a whole lot better. Here, with just William and me, I didn’t feel like a fish out of water. Here, there were no men who secretly gawked at me in that weird way—or said I was delicious enough to look at, but certainly wasn’t good enough to be openly admired; like those beautiful, wealthy young women who had been born with a silver spoon in their mouths. In those men’s eyes, I was a pretty little thing to be played and toyed with, but not to be valued.
But to William, I was different. To him, I was important, and I knew it. Only, I didn’t know what that kind of important meant, or if it would lead to something more... something like love.
William wrapped his arm around my waist possessively, and guided me to the sports car that had just been brought around for him. He opened the passenger door for me, and I slid in.
The drive was silent, and honest to God, I was glad. I simply wanted to shut my eyes and rest, because really, I was tired. William seemed to understand I needed that short time to relax, because, well, once we were home I wouldn’t have time for that.
Some twenty minutes later, I found myself in William’s penthouse at the top of The Bosworth’s Hotel, Resort, and Casino building, which was now also my home. The place was sleek and extravagantly elegant. It had a great view of the whole city, and at the moment, it was certainly breath-taking where the glittering lights sparkled brightly against the backdrop of the night.
William paced to the couch and sat down. After he had loosened his tie and taken his jacket off, he motioned for me to come to him, in which I obliged.
I found myself sitting on the coffee table with my legs resting on his lap. William caressed along the line of the strap of my shoes, as if marveling at them tight against my skin. Then he untied the bow at the top that sat midway about my calf. Slowly, he unraveled the thing as if he was unwrapping a beautiful box containing a present, patiently building excitement.
I licked my lips as his hands stroked my skin, causing tingling sensations to rush through every nerve of my being. My whole body relaxed, as finally, he took one shoe off.
Red marks branded my skin, and William stroked them as if to make the pain the strap had caused go away.
“Better?” he asked.
I nodded. “Yes, thank you,” I said.
Without hesitation, he managed the other shoe as well, and once he was done, he made me stand up.
I obeyed, knowing what was coming next. I even turned around and gave him my back, as I gathered my hair to rest on one side of my shoulder.
William unzipped the dress and slid it off me.
Now, partially naked, with only a sexy, lacy see-through pantie on, and a blue corset that barely covered much of me, I turned to face William. He smirked, pleased at what he saw as his eyes roved over me hotly.
Beneath the sexy garment of wire, strings, black silk, and blue frilly lace, my waist was slim and my breasts were bare, the pair of mounds were thrust upward and jutted out erotically. They were an irresistible invitation, and William couldn’t resist the offering.
He dipped his head close to my breasts, stuck his tongue out, and licked my nipple. I sucked in my breath in response the moment I felt his hot, wet tongue on my bare skin. My body shook in ardent passion and my core burned hotly.
“This is far more enjoyable than the party, don’t you agree?” he asked teasingly.
I mutely nodded, my head beginning to spin and my knees weak.
Once again, he returned his attention to my breasts. This time, he devoured the whole mound into his hot mouth, and then he sucked and kissed the flesh until it became fully aroused and sensitive.
My whole body shuddered and I groaned. “William...”
I clutched him for dear life as he continued to lovingly torture the other one, giving it the same amount of attention; kissing, sucking, and licking to his heart’s content. When he moved his lips and searched mine for a kiss, I thought back to that fateful night when I had first found him, all beaten up and bleeding, lying there in the back street of the apartment complex. He had looked like the corpse of a beautiful dead angel, and I had pitied him and fallen for him, even before I knew what his name was.

About the Author
Alexia Praks is a medical laboratory scientist and self-confessed hermit whose undying love for books leads her to naively abandon the generous warnings of failure from numerous individuals and dive into the publishing world to claim a spot as an author.
In the romance realm, she thinks anything goes as long as there’s love involved—be it contemporary, historical, fantasy, paranormal, or a combination of any of these. In the young adult territory, she leans more toward fantasy, science-fiction, dystopia, mystery, and of course, romance.
Alexia lives in the historic, student-infested Dunedin, Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud), aka New Zealand. It’s a lone, isolated, picturesque country with ranges of exquisite mountains and breathtaking rivers, which she considers a perfect setting for her reclusive lifestyle.
Apart from writing and occasionally losing herself in her own dream realm, she loves self-cultivation, is fascinated by Chinese metaphysics, and spends her spare time watching anime and TV dramas and, of course, reading books and manga.
