Pangaea— (1) Pottery shards floating in black car oil in our garage. (2) The name of the landmass that separated into different continents.
PohPoh— (1) Married to GungGung. (2) My mom’s mom. (3) My granny. (4) Oh, how I love her!
Puritans— Not as good as the Patriots (Calvin’s team), and much worse than the Algonkians (Little League champs).
Ralph Waldo Emerson— Famous dead author who hired Henry David Thoreau to mow his lawn, babysit his kids, and fix stuff around his house.
Red Sox— Everyone knows who they are—the best team in the world!
Shakespeare— English dude who wrote so many plays and poems that some say he didn’t write them at all, but that his works were written by Bacon or Oxford. I didn’t know bacon could write! That’s fantastic!
Trojan War— The greatest war in Greek mythology, fought between the Greeks and the Trojans. See Odysseus.
Tuojiangosaurus— A punk-looking vegetarian dinosaur that lived in southern China in the Late Jurassic Period. His name means “Tuo River Lizard.”
Wasabi— Japanese horseradish paste. Looks like paste. Feels like paste. Smells like paste. But it’s not like the paste you eat in school. It will blow your head off and make you cry!
