My big sister Annie also deserves a mention for being kind enough to take me on my first trip to Rome. Through a series of happy accidents, we visited the Eternal City in 2011. I was never the same again. In fact, I will be returning to Rome for the third time this summer. Thank you for introducing me to my favorite city, Annie!
Finally, I must thank my parents, Jean and Jim. My love of all things Roman began when I was a boy, sitting in the ruins of an amphitheatre in the south of France. They set me on this path, encouraged me. I cannot thank them enough. I love you Mom and Dad.
I know for a fact that there are dozens of other people who listened to me talk about this book over the last two years. The problem is, there are too many to list! Just know this, even if you didn’t think you were helping me by sitting there, nodding your head, you were. Thank you to everyone in my life, all of my friends and family. I hope you enjoyed reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Ciao!
Dylan
