Chapter 7

We went to some super expensive restaurant for dinner. After that she led me to her house. "Let's go up to my room," she said.

"Alright," I said. We want upstairs and she opened the door to her bedroom. The bed's comforter was purple. On the walls were posters, one of them was of me. "I thought that he was a wanna be."

"Well, after he interrupted two dates for the safety of others, one for a little kid and the other for an entire city, I thought, ‘Hey he might be the real deal.’," she said laying down on her bed. I climbed in next to her. "Sky," she said putting her arms around me. "I know we've only known each other for four weeks, but I love you. I really do. Everything about you I love."

"I love you, too. Your smile, your eyes, the way you fight," I said.

"The way I fight?" she asked, her nose crinkling up.

"Yeah, it's fierce, strategic, and sexy," I said kissing her. Then, we did it. Yeah, I know, wait till your married, do it protected, but we didn't. And also it would be kind of awkward for me to break off for a second to go get protection.

Robyn had her head on my chest. My hand ran up and down her side. We laid there like that for the rest of the night. When I woke up in the morning, I could hear movement from downstairs. "Robyn," I whispered to her. "Should your dad be home?"

"No, not that I know," she said. "Why?"

"I hear someone downstairs," I said. I got out of bed and pulled on my pants. "I'll be right back." I went downstairs and heard noise coming from the kitchen. It was Nate. "What are you doing here?"

"Nick and I got a bit worried when you didn't come home last night, so I came looking for you," he said. "So, how'd it go last night?" I knew immediately what he was asking about.

  "Beautiful," was all I said.

"Dude, just be careful. I don't want to be an uncle yet," he said.

"Oh, hey, Nate," I heard Robyn say. "What are you doing here?"

"Came looking for Sky," he said. "And I kinda got hungry." He held up his partially eaten bowl of cereal.

"Ok," she said. "I'm gonna take a shower and then we can leave."

"Kay," I said as she left. Nate told me that he brought me a change of clothes and left. I changed and then we headed back to the house to work on the car for science. Robyn was actually pretty good with machines and such. We managed to get the engine built before we had to go back home for dinner with our parents.

"So, how was your night, boys?" Dad asked. Nate and Nick chuckled.

"Good Dad, real good," Nate said.

  "How's school going?" Mom asked.

"Fine, I have a big project for science I'm working on with Robyn," I said. "We have to find ways to be more energy efficient. We're building a car that runs off of gasoline at first and then switches to small wind turbines underneath that create electricity."

"Do you want any help with it?" Dad asked. I was about to say 'no' when I heard Nate in my head. Sky, say yes. Dad really wants to spend time with us. Also, Mom is pressuring him to do more father-son bonding.

"Sure, when's the next time your off?" I asked.

"Saturday," he said. "Where are we building it?"

"Zac's, he lets us use his garage for stuff like that," I said. Dad nodded his head.

"In two weeks its spring break, right?" he asked. We nodded. "Well, I was thinking, what if we go camping that week? We haven't done that for a couple of years."

"That sounds fun," Nick said. "We just have to make sure we get our shifts covered."

"Alright, I'll put in for those days then," he said. I nodded as we headed up to our room.

"T.B.," Nate said when we got upstairs. "They're at the bank on fifth." We quickly changed into our suits and left through our bedroom window.

"You realize that we have to do some fixing up on the house now, right?" I asked as we got on our motorcycles.

"Yeah, I realize," he said. "But it'll only be for a day."

"Yeah, okay," I said. "So, which bank are we going to again?"

"The one on fifth," Nate said leading the way.

"Hey, guys," Nick said. "Is it ok if I asked Lily to join the team?"

"I dunno, we can talk about it later," I said. As soon as we pulled up Robyn was already there.

"Nice of you to show up," she said.

"Sorry, Red, but unlike you, our parents don't know about this," I said. We watched as they came out. It was Copycat with a couple of lackeys.

"Python, you and your friends never get tired do you?" Copycat drawled.

"Yo, Copycat, you don't want to mess with these guys," one of her lackeys said.

"Oh, don't worry," Copycat said. "Now, boys." She snapped her fingers and then everything went black.
